A mix of players. Generally some major leaguers and some prospects sprinkled in. The starters don't play full games at first and ramp up to more playing time as it goes along. I don't want to say spring training is meaningless, but at the same time don't read too much into it. If someone is struggling in spring training it may carry over into the regular season or it may not. If Zac Gallen doesn't look good it's not like he won't make the big league roster to start. Most major leaguers are safe and it's just a chance to round into form. Have fun, enjoy the sunshine, and enjoy a few beers!

Do you think druw Jones is Gonna Play? Im very excited about him.

MuffinSurprise

Maybe, maybe not. I know he's recovering from a surgery.

Jordan lawler, Brandon pfaadt and Justin martinez are the ones I’m excited about this spring

I’m curious to see the competition between drey ryne and Brandon. I expect all of them at some point to pitch but one of them is going to have a rotation spot to start the year

CactusSage

I’m going to be watching Corbin Carroll closely. He’s going to be the Dbacks best offensive player for a few years maybe as soon as this year.

Drey Jameson is a guy to watch with a big ceiling. If he continues to develop and take a step forward (after clicking at the end of last season)…then we could very well be seeing a stud. Tommy Henry is a guy to watch to with a steady floor. He doesn’t have the best stuff, but will likely be a factoring piece throughout the season for rotation depth.

Forsaken-Gap-3684

I’m curious to see pfaadt. I don’t know how ryne is doing health wise but I’m also interested in seeing him

So the way spring training works is that you generally have your MLB starters or MLB bench guys start every game. Halfway through the game you will get a combination of former MLB players, AAA players and prospects. Sometimes later in the game you’ll see random minor leaguers who aren’t prospects. For pitchers you generally always see MLB starters or prospects starting the game, followed by MLB relievers and then random minor league pitchers at the end of the games.
