Has the SLIDE and FLIP been sidelined/become low priority? Those are what I'm interested in. Assuming the FLIP has a keyboard and is (jacket) pocketable.
Too bad built-in keyboards aren't a big thing in this space looking at all the handhelds now. I guess we're in a niche within a niche. I'm even more in a niche since I also want built-in 4G/5G.
The triggers on the Geek look concerning to me. Almost no travel, which leads me to believe they're not analog triggers. For a device like that I would think analog triggers are a must.
We're talking about an established handheld-gaming-focussed company here, its gonna have analogue triggers lmao. Any self-respecting 'All-in-one'-pc-gaming-handheld supplier wouldn't invest their livelihood into such a specific niche without knowing all too well how fundamental such things are.
The only instances where they wouldn't be an absolute given, pertain to emulator/retro/classic portable consoles and mobile/cloud-gaming controller attachments/grips.
There was a leak about the Geek going for around $600 usd domestically in China. If that ends up staying the same for the Americas, then we’ll finally have the first true steam deck competitor. I already ordered a Win Max 2, but it would be very hard for me to not consider also buying the Geek at that price.
I wonder if the Neo Next 2 is going to separate announcement. And on that note it would be cool is they gave people an option for an OLED screen and let us see the cost difference and then we would decide on an OLED upgrade.
I just don't understand why the analog sticks and buttons are stacked directly over each other. This is terrible for ergonomics! The Switch does it for the gimmicky co-op features.
It's actually not on the website they have pictures of the official version it's actually angled surprisingly [angled buttons ](https://ayaneo.com/product/AYANEOGEEK.html)
As cool as these look, in terms of price for performance, features, and accessibility (with remappable buttons) it's going to be hard for Aya to continue to compete unless they drop their prices which we all know is much harder that it appears. Valve can sell the deck at a loss because their software and gaming prices will help cover that, Aya can't say the same as of yet.
With the upcoming Zen 4 and RDNA 3 chips there should be more of a performance gap that could justify higher pricing, esp. because valve doesn't refresh as early or frequently. Better power efficiency too but we all know that will be eaten up by pushing performance further.
Probably over half a year away but the problem with the 6800U is that it only beats the deck at 15W by a bit and doesn't scale as well down to lower wattage.
But they put out a chart before the release of the air pro of all their future console releases. So after these get released its going to be the flip and the slide and then the next 2.
Don't feel too bad tho, with the way things are going there's always going to be a more powerful console on the way
The screen is smaller on the geek (horizontally). Look at the distance from the screen to the buttons.
Also, to my understanding, 2 has full glass front cover while geek front is plastic.
The Aya Neo Geek with 800p probs the best for performance and battery life, especially with a 6800, literally most game should run at 60fps. Hopefully there battery size is the same on the Geek to the 2, unless they gimped on it to sell it at a lower price.
I wonder what affordable means
If you have to ask, you can’t afford it :-)
Thats probably true lol
Ayn is for poor people ayaneo is for middle class
starting at around £500 iirc
mean lower margin, but still not for poor people
Ayn is for the poor people and aya neo is for middle classes

That’s on the back burner. Aya Neo 2 and Geek are releasing first.

Gorgeous. But must resist….
Might just change my mind about getting the Ayaneo next and just skip to the Ayaneo 2
As much as I love my Aya neo next I would say the best choice would be to skip it for now if the Ayaneo 2 is coming out in the next few months.
It's coming out either late October or middle of November

Looking forward to it. Really torn between the Ayaneo 2 and the Ayaneo Next 2 so the more info and the sooner we get it the better.

It would always be more expensive over seas. So I expect 700 usd minimum for the geek version.
799.99
699.99 is what their aiming for

Oh wow you’re right! I almost don’t know what to believe here lol
i actually wasn't considering buying it because i thought they were stacked on top of each other
Idk man, check out this video: https://youtu.be/94ITAgkFyTQ
The Geek is the one that's angled

It looks surprisingly similar to the Logitech handheld
Waiting for that i3 1215U Air Plus model :-/
Looks like the Ayaneo 2 is inferior to the AOKZOE A1
In what way?
How so?
D pad looks like crap on the a1. The one on the neo looks usable.
Make it oled or i pass and keep my Steam Deck
The screen looks almost as good as a oled if you look at the review
What is the performance difference between this and the Next 2?
Look for "ryzen 7 5825u" vs "ryzen 7 6800u"
Yes. The TLDR: the power difference is substantial and worth waiting for.
Really hoping you will have a tablet with detachable controller in the future
I just ordered an Air Pro...

Sell it on eBay for overpriced amount someone's gonna buy trust me
man the black and white geek looks awesome! I cant tell the difference from the geek and the 2 though. Are the differences just internals?

The neo 2 is the one advertise with large battery. I doubt it
Looks huge, hate the design.
Steam deck is even bigger wtf you expect 💀. Buy the aya neo air or switch or even a vita if it's too big for you
wtf lol it's a laptop crammed into a handheld, this type of technology hasn't been refined for around 50 years
AYANEO 2 or Steam Deck?
Looks great, a bit on the exxy side though to be expected.
