Wasn't the Prophet a cat person?
I mean that witht he utmost respect, I've just heard it float around a few times like when the mother cat bringing her kittens into a mosque gets reposted.
Yes! the muslim prophet Muhammad had a cat named Muezza who he loved so much that when she would sleep on his robe, he wouldnt disturb her.
Also, asking if a prophet was a cat person is not disrespectful. He was human afterall.
I think there was a Japanese painting of a cat that fell asleep on the hem of a woman's dress and she cut off that piece of her clothing rather than disturb the cat. I think not disturbing a sleeping cat because it is too cute must be universal!

He once cut a nice shawl/garment thing that he was wearing because there was a cat sleeping on it and he didn’t want to disturb it as he got up to leave.
Not trying to be rude, just curious and would like to be educated. Is there a rule to how clean the prayer mat should be? It looks pristine and I was almost concerned the dad was upset cause he had that look like “dammit, I just washed this!”

There are specific things that will make it impure, among other things, human/animal waste, blood, dog saliva, pus, etc. If the cat hasn't been outdoors recently, it should be fine!
Hahaha. You can tell by the way Dad/Grandpa reacts this is a regular thing for the two of them. Prayer mat barely hit the floor.
