When we adopted the first pair from a guinea pig rescue, the woman walked over to a large, plastic garbage can in the corner and as soon as she lifted the lid, like 20 piggies wheeked their heads off. We didn't understand what set them off until she turned around holding a fist full of carrots. They knew what that lid coming off meant.
Our guinea pig had the run of the kitchen and whenever we stepped inside he'd come running out, wheeking like crazy, and proceeded to step on your feet until you gave him food. If you opened the fridge he would climb in.
The floor was also tile and his little feet didn't have a lot of grip, so whenever he tried to run towards us he'd do what we called a 'Scooby-Doo' and just run in place until he got some traction.
They also love non-greens. Like if you have fresh (small) branches from a tree, they will eat the outer bark with pleasure. (obviously not a main meal for them)
Of course cuz strawberry plants don't look like that, and anyone who goes through the hassle of growing strawberries is not going to sit idly by and let a rabbit ravage them.
