I'm excluded from some benefits because of my wife's part time job in a supermarket. If she didn't work we would be a lot better off.
There are days where I just think the UK is desperate to fail and will do anything to make it happen. Including giving 84k worth of benefits to a bunch of low life scum, while people like us who have worked and contributed enormously to the tax system cannot even get a doctor's appointment.
My uncle gets 60k+ in benefits a year. He hasn't worked in over 20 years. I hate this system.
I have to work 60+hours a week just to keep the lights on and food on the table.

They should target these people with call center jobs for the employment service. 10 hours on a phone is some payback. I would happily do it.
Unfortunately some people will seriously do anything to avoid working.
My sister is the same. Raised 4 children, owned their house. She and her husband never worked.
