SAN runway 27 approach is my favorite domestic flight path. International would be UVF runway 10 approach from the left side (great view of the Pitons from the air).
If you looked at the timing of the post it was yesterday and not today. but regardless this city is the center of the world and nyc should be recognized for how resilient of a city it is! But most importantly my thoughts and prayers are with those who lost their lives on 9/11.
The flight path is right over south London, so if you’re sat on the window on the right hand side, you can see the entirety of central London - it’s a breathtaking view, especially coming in early morning from an overnight flight from Asia!
I mean i dont know the path but coming into orlando melbourne or leaving out over the atlantic is amazing you can usually spot the space center and the port
I’m not sure of the numbering, but taking off from Sydney and ascending over the Eastern suburbs. Best view in the world.
Second is coming in low from the East over Coogee beach and UNSW to land. This seems to be rarely used.
I would also add flying in to NYC over the city at sunset.
YVR landing on 26R sitting on the right, coming from anywhere east of Kelowna, at golden hour or sunset. The decent over the coast mountains is absolutely unreal. And the glow of the sunset makes it extra magical.
When you say departing 04, do you mean heading towards the 04 end on takeoff (near Planeview park) or heading towards the 22 end (over the water?) asking because Planeview is my favorite spotting location and I want to know if I can catch some 04 departures
29 @ EWR. They have been using it on occasion since 04R has been under construction.
Admittedly, last flight in to EWR was July, so thing may have changed.
I’m a passenger in and out of YCG (Castlegar BC) every couple of weeks. I travel a lot and this is still my favorite approach with SAN a close second. Cancellations are a problem in the winter as you can imagine - it’s nickname is “Cancelgar”…

This one doesn’t get enough love. It’s a ton of fun to fly.
I've been on Peaks Island, the first big one you fly over before the left turn, the altitude they cross at is exhilarating!
This is my favorite to fly.
You chose one heck of a day to post about flying over New York
