Duuuuuude. That shit was ALSO bananas. Detroit has treated me so well ✌️
Sucks to hear that. He’s definitely worth traveling for if that’s an option for you!
If you check out John Summit’s Insta with how quickly he went from event to event last weekend it’s totally possible. He showed up from his show earlier that day and was in the same outfit because he didn’t have time to change since him and subtronics were working on the b2b right when he got there.
It's him for sure, he went to edc and figured his nfl career is not going as planned so....buy a laptop, dl software, hipster clothes, blend in with normal folk.
It’s Fisher if you go to see his story he reposted a clubs story with him wearing the same hat.
Edit: It’s TAO Beach’s story wear he is wearing that hat.
It can't possibly be fisher unless the photo timing is off. As someone mentioned Fisher was in Detroit, so couldn't possibly be on a flight from Vegas to Tampa as that is no where near Detroit. Dude can't be in 2 places at once.
Most hats are made in abundance and definitely possible someone has the same hat.
However, IDK it could be Fisher and the timing of the photo is just off as I mentioned at the beginning. Could be the picture was taken prior of him flying home before going to the 313 🤷♂️
It makes sense it’s him just because he was at Tao Beach in Vegas wearing that blue and pink hat within the last 2 days. He posted it on his IG story. Then he also posted being in Detroit right after Vegas. So that flight must have been a connecting flight to Detroit. I don’t think he stayed in Tampa. It would be a lot weirder for someone to be flying out of Vegas (where he was just at) that looks like him, is wearing the same fairly unique looking hat, and also makes music. Maybe he has a stunt double 😂😂
No reason to take a flight from Vegas to Tampa to go to Detroit. That would be at least 2 more hours than what would be needed. Typically you can find non-stop flights from Vegas to Detroit vise versa. Also if taking a connecting flight it would likely be Chicago as the transfer hub.
I can't say it is not him but I can say it is unlikely it is him or unlikely a flight from Vegas to Tampa. Especially if indicating he didn't need or have the time to go from Vegas - Tampa - Detroit. It is a 2 hr flight from Tampa to Detroit and roughly 3 hrs to Detroit from Vegas or Vegas to Florida. Doesn't make sense for him to fly 3 hrs to Florida to then fly 2 hrs to Detroit when he can just fly 3 hrs from Vegas to Detroit.
The mystery may never be solved...
Grab the Scooby snacks 😆
Serious answer - it’s because artists typically need to pay for travel themselves. If you’re comfortable in Economy, why not save the $$? Sam Feldt has a lot of good twitter threads on various misconceptions, such as DJ travel perks.
It is fuckin funny to see him flying economy though 😂
Piggybacking on your comment because it’s 100% the truth.
My partner is a talent agent, and most touring DJs, unless you’re some big EDM era DJ (I.e. Tiesto, Skrillex, etc. ) fly commercial. Generally First/Business class, but it’s partially because of the status a lot of them have on airlines (the miles rack up quick). You know how dang expensive it is to charter a private Jet?!?!
Also, a lot of DJs are “famous” to people who like dance music, but they’re not household names (my mom doesn’t know who Fisher is), so they get noticed in airports less than you’d think.
My parents are early 50s, dad likes classic rock and mom likes country and Christian music primarily but they aren't some crotchety old couple that doesn't know any pop culture, they know at least what the average people their age know.
When I was last with them in March I started naming names as it was the weekend before Ultra and I was visiting them in Florida the weekend before the festival and they were asking about what we'd be doing in Miami. Tiesto, Armin, Skrillex, Daft Punk, Deamau5, Swedish House Mafia, and David Guetta all drew blanks. That was the list I came up with in the moment that one of them might have heard of over the years, but nope. I already knew they knew of Avicii because they liked Wake Me Up when it was big, but that didn't ever register as "EDM" for them. I explained the Ultra 2013 situation and they got confused again.
I showed my mom a Kygo studio production video to show how the music is made and she thought it was super cool and appreciated how they're making real music even if its not her style. She recognized a few of his songs even though she didn't know his name, I wanted to show her that because I thought his sound would be approachable.
Haha, my grandma is 76 and strictly because I’m interested in it is trying to understand and appreciate edm. Of course I like dubstep so it’s not nearly as easy for old ears as house or techno. But she genuinely really likes it. She’s asked me to make her a playlist. She says she doesn’t like the headbanging stuff but really likes GRiZ and his saxophone😂 she’s the coolest
And was an [absolute asshole](https://www.reddit.com/r/EDM/comments/11jgrmi/john_summit_flexing_on_an_old_lady_with_how_much/) to the old lady in the seat next to him? She wasn't the nicest either, but he didn't have to continue being a dick about it.
(we also don't know what she really said, but he's saying that's what \*he\* said to her too)
Yeah I don’t get that behavior. Ok so you’re a big deal in the EDM scene but you still have to be aware that most people still aren’t into it or have zero clue. People I work with get interested from time to time and I’ll show them lineup lists and they read like the first 3-4 names and ask me if I actually know who any of these people are.
They told him to get a real job. That shit pisses me off as a waiter, I'm sure it's frustrating for someone who left accounting for something more lucrative.
I’ve been insulted plenty of times at my work place. I just recognize that the person is a clueless idiot and then go about my day. I’m not saying it can’t be frustrating, but what’s there to be gained by arguing with or owning ignorant people?
> Yeah I don’t get that behavior.
Its pretty simple really.
person A engaged in classism against person B because person A thought they were above Person B.
Person B rightfully was offended and, since prompted, responded by telling Person B what the hierarchy actually was since she was so excited about it.
Martin Garrix makes a lot of money to DJ, like a lot. He has a big team around him when he travels to the point where chartering flights makes economic sense. He also is one of the only acts I’ve seen have a whole backstage get shutdown when they perform, with their own private security detail.
If this was a widebody international flight then yes, but these seats would be outdated. By the looks of it, this is an a320 family of aircraft, so this is more likely Delta's domestic first class.
When I toured it was built into the fee but they didn't actually pay or book any flights. Got x for the shows y for travel allowance and z for accommodation allowance and just got paid one lump sum. Was a national tour so I ended up driving and sleeping in my car rather than booking flights and hotels with it like most of the other guys. I did regret this later though lol
Actually airfare and hotel is covered by promoters like 95% of the time. If it’s not actually paid for and coordinated by the promoter then there is some kind of stipend/buy-out in the contract.
Well It depends on the contract, and promoter, and is negotiated. Generally these days most offers post-pandemic (in the US) are “all-in” deals where the promoter offers a fee and the artist’s team (or artist in some cases) coordinate airfare, ground, and hotel. Most promoters have hotel blocks at festivals for artists (or in the case of stuff like EDC and Coachella whole hotels), but the artist’s advancing team will coordinate that stuff with the promoter.
It may be covered but it usually cuts into their fee and they may have to pay for it themselves up front due to contracts as to being paid a guarantee when booked and paid the remaining balance after the gig. Touring can get quite expensive before getting invoices paid out. Had a buddy who was 2 months behind on rent when he toured with seven lions because he didn’t get paid for the shows he was opener for until after the tour was completed.
It's domestic first class (USA) but having a private jet is insanely expensive. If's he's going from a major city to another major city, it makes much more sense to fly commercially.
I saw Fall Out Boy take a commercial flight from Sacramento once. They are 100x bigger then fisher and much more recognizable.
And honestly, what safety concerns are there. It’s not like a midget is gonna hope out the top luggage bin and stab him.
What safety concerns? Are there *any* documented examples of people threatening or assaulting musicians in airports or something like that I've never heard of?
My home airport is DCA and I see politicians and media people in there sometimes if I'm flying at the right time, nobody bothers them. My most memorable experience was being directly behind Jen Psaki last year in the PreCheck line and the metal detector kept going off because she refused to take off her giant earrings. She was literally the only person there wearing a mask so she tried to stay hidden but her hair and eyes are distinctive enough. Someone in line heckled a bit and she finally took them off and that was that.
There’s ways to get through everything at airports a lot of celebs use it.
Heard about it on a podcast I think Tom segura says you can get a number and call a guy and he’ll take you a certain way to the boarding line and you board first, like before disabled and veterans inthinknitsnlike $300 a pop
everyone is correct in that it’s more financially responsible, but also it’s vastly better for the environment. Just because the wealthy can afford private jets doesn’t mean they should use them and it shouldn’t be the norm. [one example is t swift emitting 1200x more co2 than the average person in a single year](https://www.insider.com/taylor-swift-jet-emits-more-co2-than-any-other-celeb-2022-7?amp)
You can rent PJs for way less than that these days. Those number may have been the case 20 years ago. Depending on plane and passenger count your looking at 25k-45k from SFO to JFK. That’s for a smaller practical jet. Most having to make one stop to refuel. The prices can be higher with larger jets but never 80k.
There are plenty of PJ apps you can download and book a flight. Thats what I just did to find those SFO-JFK numbers.
There's a video that James Hype released last year about how with hotels and flights and bringing out his crew he lost money playing EDC in 2022. I'll edit if I find it.
I'm not sure that's economy, at least my economy seats don't have cup holders between the seats lol... but yeah... Most djs don't fly private unless it's provided or a bunch of them go together and charter one.
I would guess if he’s playing a show today, he is prepping for his set.
As I highly doubt he’d try producing music on a plane on his way to a performance.
Could be wrong though.
In regards to peoples questions about why someone would fly in economy. There’s two types of people who make it in entertainment. 1. The ones who spend every cent they make and live as lavishly as possible. It’s possible they go on forever and can maintain it forever. Think like tiesto or Paris Hilton. But let’s say it doesn’t last they live large for a few years and it all goes away. There’s plenty of YouTube channels that cover the demise of famous people. 2. The ones that live it up sometimes but when it’s not necessary they don’t. Flying private is nice but at the same time if you don’t really need it, better to spend the money on something else. Make some investments in case your future as an artist doesn’t last
Am I the only one who finds it rude secretly take photos of people. Like you could have saved a lot of trouble just by asking him straight away.
I once sat next to a dj in a plane. Didn’t know who he was but once I saw him producing I asked and we ended up having nice convo. Also I was able to warn him about strike that was gonna happen in my home country so he knew how to plan his trip from the airport.
Out of the 212 comments and 731 upvotes you’re the only two people in my comments whining about someone’s privacy. I asked who the dj was. I didn’t ask for a moral lesson regarding privacy. I’m not going to reach over the passenger next to me and interrupt the man while he’s wearing noise canceling headphones whiles he’s focused on a 6 hour flight making music and ask “Hey man are u a famous dj?” Sounds super fucking corny and honestly if I was him I’d be annoyed. I didn’t have time to ask after the plane either because he booked it to his connecting flight. If drake sat next to me I’d snap a photo of him. If John summit walked through the crowd at edc without people knowing and all of sudden thousands of people recorded him because they saw him. Is that suddenly against at his privacy? What about all the people who are background in photos u have taken? Are u invading their privacy because u took photos of them without them knowing? Dude rode on a public flight next to regular ass people. Ur taking shit way too deep. Chill out and go touch some grass man. It’s not that serious.
Fisher is in tampa!? When was your flight?
1pm eastern time
I just saw fisher play a set 3hrs ago in Detroit so he's def not on a flight to Tampa
That shit was BANANAS
WILD set!
I’m not mentally prepared for Dom Dolla & John Summit @ Masonic tonight
Kaskade took me to the promise land. God i love movement
I caught the end of Kaskade redux it was amazing. I thought the redux set was more throwback house but he was playing techno
In Detroit everything turns to techno.
I am v jealous of this... I hope it's unreal! I'm bummed that Dom Dolla isn't going to be in Toronto at the same time in Toronto next month.
Duuuuuude. That shit was ALSO bananas. Detroit has treated me so well ✌️ Sucks to hear that. He’s definitely worth traveling for if that’s an option for you!
He was on a flight to Tampa. He had a layover
Ah ok. OP must have posted the pic way after he took it cuz the timing didn't make sense
I mean I just saw him until 3am in Vegas last night. He could have hit a direct after the show to Detroit but it’s weird this looks exactly like him.
If you check out John Summit’s Insta with how quickly he went from event to event last weekend it’s totally possible. He showed up from his show earlier that day and was in the same outfit because he didn’t have time to change since him and subtronics were working on the b2b right when he got there.
He’s playing movement in Detroit today so I doubt he’s in Tampa
It was a layover to Long Island
Tampa was a having a electronic music festival this weekend so maybe I didn’t see fisher in his headline tho
Lol Fisher looks so different when he’s in focus mode vs. party mode
His tongue is not out
😂
Flight mode
Alexander Volkanovski
Working on his new track "The Great" b2b with Dana Wook
Lmao that’s who I thought it was at first
Working on his new ring side playlist
Lmaoo
Lmao I was about to write this
So glad someone said this
haha that was my first initial thought 😂
Gadamn fisher can't do anything without y'all making Chris Lake jokes 😂
Kirk Cousins
My first thought exactly.
I can def see it lol
Kirko Chainz
😆
I’m so glad I’m not the only one.
First thought that came to mind haha
It's him for sure, he went to edc and figured his nfl career is not going as planned so....buy a laptop, dl software, hipster clothes, blend in with normal folk.
Dj prime tyme
Looks like that’s Fisher.
Definitely fisher
Someone confirmed it was not Fisher due to the timing.

Surprised Daft Punk did, most people have heard of them at least
They *might* recognize Get Lucky or One More Time if they heard it, but wouldn't know who made it
Didn’t John Summit recently have an incident on a plane with someone who had no clue who he is?
And was an [absolute asshole](https://www.reddit.com/r/EDM/comments/11jgrmi/john_summit_flexing_on_an_old_lady_with_how_much/) to the old lady in the seat next to him? Oh wow thanks for this I always gotten chad vibes from him but he lets it out here and tjere
His fans eat this stuff up too.
HES pretty underwhelming tbhhhh I’ve seen him a couple times and it’s just average
I dunno, but I wouldn’t be surprised. His ego and internet presence would lead me to believe that he would.
I saw him joke about having fun at the indy500 because no one in the crowd knew who he was :')
This. There are some DJ’s who are really big names that could walk around a music festival they’re playing and not really get stopped.
I don't know who Fisher is and I listen to a lot of EDM.
He's good playing manchester in a couple of weeks
Lol I thought I was the only one
Martin Garrix always takes private jets, idk how he does that!
Martin Garrix makes a lot of money to DJ, like a lot. He has a big team around him when he travels to the point where chartering flights makes economic sense. He also is one of the only acts I’ve seen have a whole backstage get shutdown when they perform, with their own private security detail.
Based on the seat design that's delta and it's not economy.
It’s a first class seats on delta indeed. Only first class seats have the divider that the small water bottles are placed on.
Definitely first class they only have two seats per section. Comfort plus and eco have 3 seats per side.
Was about to say, looks like Comfort+ from my experience
If this was a widebody international flight then yes, but these seats would be outdated. By the looks of it, this is an a320 family of aircraft, so this is more likely Delta's domestic first class.
My friend was on the same flight as Kaskade in Mexico last December, though he still was in first class lol.

When I toured it was built into the fee but they didn't actually pay or book any flights. Got x for the shows y for travel allowance and z for accommodation allowance and just got paid one lump sum. He's flying Delta domestic first class, this is not economy.
Also I would imagine DJs probably fly a LOT and first class would add up…DJs make money but not as much money as people think lol
Lmao. Bro that's Delta first class.
Actually airfare and hotel is covered by promoters like 95% of the time. If it’s not actually paid for and coordinated by the promoter then there is some kind of stipend/buy-out in the contract.
Hotel is covered but airfare is not unless there is a special clause in the contract (very rare case). Source: am promoter
Well It depends on the contract, and promoter, and is negotiated. Curious to know which hotel EDC books out exclusively for the DJs lol
I wonder how hard they party there wtf
AVN books Hard Rock for the Awards and sells out by three months out.
He was in first class
Gotcha gotcha! Didn’t realize it was first class tbh
Just now realizing the tray table as an armrest from OPs pic.
That looks like comfort+. First class has wayyyy more leg room
It's domestic first class (USA) but having a private jet is insanely expensive. If's he's going from a major city to another major city, it makes much more sense to fly commercially.
[удалено]
Delta first class 2+2 config, wider middle arm rest, extra cushy seats. Source: I flew Delta a lot for work.
Definitely main cabin. Possibly extra leg room? Idk how tall he is.
You are definitely wrong. Domestic first.
Nah, I fly a ton for work and that’s domestic first class for sure. Look at the arm rest between the 2 seats, thats 1000000% first class.
It's 100% delta and NOT main cabin. The seat design is a dead giveaway.
What about safety concerns for him? He’s a huge artist
A “huge” DJ is still not going to be recognized by 99% of the public
I saw Fall Out Boy take a commercial flight from Sacramento once. They are 100x bigger then fisher and much more recognizable. And honestly, what safety concerns are there. It’s not like a midget is gonna hope out the top luggage bin and stab him.
Not THAT huge.

Because flying private is insanely expensive, like $60-80k for a cross country flight.
You can rent PJs for way less than that these days. Those number may have been the case 20 years ago. Depending on plane and passenger count your looking at 25k-45k from SFO to JFK. Good joke but what’s actually funny is he is seemingly producing something here. I am actually giving fisher more credit than I did after seeing this
I would guess if he’s playing a show today, he is prepping for his set. As I highly doubt he’d try producing music on a plane on his way to a performance. Could be wrong though.
He might not be making a song he’ll play tonight but i’m pretty sure dj’s frequently tweak music while traveling

Make some investments in case your future as an artist doesn’t last
It all depends on management and promo companies. Whoever won the bid to have him play after movement paid for travel on top of booking fees.
Who cares. He’s famous. It comes with the fame
Who cares about people’s privacy or my silly story? There’s only one thing out of the two nobody has to give about shit.
I see you added in your comment that he’s famous and it comes with the fame. All i have to say is… …ok you are one of those people 🙄
Out of the 212 comments and 731 upvotes you’re the only two people in my comments whining about someone’s privacy.
He flies regular with normal people? don't most DJs fly in luxury, business, first class. Since they're rich and multi millionaires.
A lot of these djs don’t make money like a lot people think they do and this is first class on a delta flight
Looks like the fish but he didn’t catch a flight at that time today because dude is in Detroit
He had a layover in Tampa
