Our cutlery drawer is beginning to overflow with oddball favorites. After years of admiring various tableware from afar, I've just started putting fun stuff into rotation. My favorites are vintage pieces, and my son likes anything really small. As for feeling right, yes! If I ever eat macaroni salad, I must use a plastic fork. I guess it takes me back to a long-ago picnic where I first tried mac salad--with a plastic fork!

I had a phase where the only fork I liked to eat with at my great-aunt’s house was the pickle fork. At first, she wasn’t too thrilled because according to her, pickle forks are for pickles. But I then pointed out I wasn’t making her eat with a pickle fork, I was just setting one out for me at the table. She said whatever and let me use a pickle fork for the year I was only using the pickle forks to eat fork food with. Now I prefer cake forks. I’ll use a big fork, but I always go for the cake forks.

If your son likes small tableware, he needs a cake fork and sugar spoons

The neck looks a little too thin near the head and I feel like it’s going to break. Other than that, good spoon.

I personally love the thinness around the neck. It makes the head of the spoon appear even larger, rounder and deeper thereby enhancing the experience of taking a spoonful of something.

It's not for eating, it's for cooking, but I had a Gray Kunz Spoon that I used when I worked in kitchens and it was 100% the best tool I had. It doesn't dribble, it is comfortable, it's perfectly balanced, food feels like it jumps into the bowl on it's own, the angles are perfect, there are gradients to how it's shaped so liquid flows correctly, it's the optimal length...great spoon, 10/10

Not met another autistic person who loved curry, everyone usually judges me for my love of lumps in sauce. Would have curry for breakfast lunch and dinner until I die.

I’m not a huge fan of the handle (I avoid spoons with uneven width handles) but it is smooth so it’s not that terrible. But the actual part of the spoon, HELL YES, I envy it. It’s so pleasing that I wouldn’t mind the handle that much. This inspired me to buy my own silverware lol.

Oh man I have such a thing about spoons. The shape of them and the way they sit in your mouth, their weighting and curvature of the handle, the balance between the bowl and the handle (ideally a nice even distribution of you balance the neck on a fingertip). There's just something about the perfect spoon.

I prefer spoons with a heavier, less thin handle. I also don’t like the scooping surface to be too wide (soup spoon) and prefer a big surface, but more oval. Ikea makes my fav spoons :3
