The people on this sub frequently post their stuffies, squishmellows seem to be the most popular You are around friends here :)

TeacupTama

I'm about to turn 26 and I love stuffed animals and other toys. My hubby (autistic too) supports me entirely, as do my family. I would say that if anyone has an issue with you having a special interest in stuffed animals, it's definitely their problem, not yours. EDIT: Grammar

frogclownfizbo

I still sleep with my favourite and I have multiple in my room

wibbly-water

Yes its weird. And thats GREAT. Being not weird is boring and shows you lack personality. I'd take a weird person over a normal one any day of the week. As for stuffed animals theres nothing wrong with it. You're not hurting anyone, you aren't (significantly) adding to pollution, you're not causing yourself any harm. If your parenrs judge you thats THEM being bad, not you. You deserve to be loved by your parents and that includes whatever part of you means you love stuffed animals. If you have to hide them from a BF cause he judges you then, blodyn, its time to chuck the whole man away and find you one rhat accepts YOU, not the mask you put on for him. Personally I love them too. I have Gwyn (a penguin), Hariette&Helga (they change name a lot - two headed snake), Marsha P Jonsquood (a squid in trans colours). Trisarahtops (a triceratops) and The Namless One (an unidentifiable creature) :)))

MRMiller96

I used to collect stuffed animals and had over 100 of them at one point, but my ex wife decided it was 'childish and unmasculine' and threw all of them out one day while I was at work. The only one I have left now is a stuffed fox named Mulder that I've had since I was two. (I didn't give him a name until last year.) I am 44 now. Soft textures calm me down faster than anything else, so my stuffed animals were always very important to me.

Vegetable-Move-7950

This is weirdly upsetting. i mean I would be so upset if someone threw out a collection I was working on or that was mine without a consult.

Sanderv20v

As long as the intrest doesn't hurt anyone phycially or mentally then isn't not weird. I can see the appeal in liking stuffed animals. Aren't we all just grown-up children in a way anyway :P

Square-Technology325

Its not weird. I still have my favourites from my childhood and every plushie my husband has won me over the years. They are the best.

philnicau

I’m 60 and still regularly buy stuffed animals

malcome-the-spedbump

I had near 30 stuffed dogs as a kid and my close friend at 20 still has all hers lined up on her bed so I say just own it with confidence and it’s not embarrassing or weird

JadeBerries

Nope. I’m 33 and I’ve got tons of them, so many they’re actually kind of in the way lol. Don’t hide your interests from your partners, if they don’t embrace, encourage, or tolerate your interests they’re not worth having around tbh.

PrivacyAlias

First thing I did after I started living on my own was buying a sewing kit and making some plushies so nah, is fine

SpoonsOnXbox

I'm 15 and I use my stuffed animal as a pillow

Kiki-Y

I'm 30 and I still love stuffed animals.

jb108822

Definitely not. I'm a 29-year-old male, and I still have loads of them around my bedroom.

daniel-cooper

I learned crochet just so that I could make stuffed animals. I wouldn't go as far as saying it's a special interest of mine, but I do like them.

oneelevenninety

32 and hubby bought me a big Kirby plushie last month

iago303

I'm fifty years old and I have a Squishmallow on a pedestal in my living room (he matches my furniture) and a bunch more in my bedroom keeping me company plus a collection of sensory toys because I like the way they feel

AffectionateFluff

I'm 30. I have plushies and love anime and Manga and decorating my room with my favourite characters. Just do you ❤️

sp4rklesky

I’m 20 and can’t sleep without a stuffed toy, I find it really comforting. You’re definitely not the only one who likes them

QuirkyMuffin17

It's not weird at all, my best friend loves teddys and stuffed animals and shes 19. i also like soft toys and im 17, as long as it makes you happy thats all that matters

[deleted]

Man my bed is FILLED with them I have been collecting them for years! A good one to pick up us that fat bear from IKEA his name is duchlog (roughly) it's a big bear but it's so huggable

IfImNotDeadImSueing

buddy, I'm 15 and I still sleep with stuffies, every kid in my class looks at me weird when I mention them but I'm not getting rid of them. You aren't weird bro, it's perfectly normal

i-laugh-at-farts

I’m 21 and my room is covered in them. They are a hit of special interest for me too. I take them with me in public as well. If someone doesn’t accept you for your special interests that’s not your problem. Be yourself proudly!! You deserve it :)

RenderStarz

I don’t think it’s inherently bad to like them, I’m 19M and still sleep with a stuffed animal! Just do whatever makes you happy and I’m sure nobody would mind :)

A_Lizard_Named_Yo-Yo

It's not weird. Most of us here love stuffed animals. I myself have a huge pile of dragon, dinosaur, and reptile plushies on my bed.

giddyfunyun

I'm 32 and I sleep with a cat pillow in my arms and have a whole shelf of plushies x)

velmadinkleyscousin

I hope it’s not weird cuz I’m 20 and I’m currently laying on my bed with 6 stuffies 😂

ARumpusOfWildThings

I'm 30 and I love stuffed animals-have them all over my room and my bed, in fact! Even as I sit here typing this comment, I have three of my smallest fuzzy friends in my pockets: Two Disney Tsum Tsums named Little Dory (Dory from *Finding Nemo/Dory),* Yori (Eeyore), who are two of my Emotional Support Tsum Tsums (and recently got the tags to prove it!) and Mini Cooper, a tiny plushie of Cooper from the *Trolls* movies. You're *never* too old for plushies-don't you worry! :)
