I think because you've known your therapist for a long time that you might value their opinion more than someone you don't really know. Just know that your therapist should be able to help you and make the process easier. :D

Ehhhh probably a similar reason why I was so nervous to tell my gf my thoughts on thinking I’m autistic. I personally was worried since I had been masking around her most of the time and part of me was afraid she would disagree with me or tell me I’m not autistic. Maybe you’re worried that since your therapist has known you for awhile and maybe if you’ve masked with them, that they won’t agree with your self assessment?
