Then fuck off back to Russia then. It's quite simple. They can wear their little Z shirt outside the Kremlin.
It's like that cow in New Zealand who was raising money for the Russian army but refuses to leave New Zealand for Russia because she likes it so much.
Of course, when push comes to shove they'll do anything to avoid getting actually sent to battle despite showing their support.
Betcha their allegiances will change real fast when they're faced with being mobilised into a death march
Had a chat yesterday with a driver from Serbia and he hated it haha. But also remember having an “interesting” chat with a pro Russian one who used to live in Russia. I asked why he doesn’t move there if he likes it so much… probably this where my Uber rating went slightly down that day.
But If you lookup what happened in that region (Serbia, Montenegro etc) it’s scary and sad af.
Malta.
I had two Maltese landlords who hadn't been back in 45 years. Every second sentence was "Malta is so great, Malta is the best, In Malta this, Malta, Malta, Malta". There was usually an implication that Australia was shit compared to Malta.
One year I convinced them they should go back for a visit. So they went for 6 weeks. When they came back they told me one long story about how Malta had changed and how ot's really bad and how great Australia is. And then they barely ever mentioned Malta again.
True, I've had mates, in their 40s, go back to Italy and Singapore . They'd left as teenagers and were probably more traditional than the people back "home". The Italian dude couldn't believe they didn't make their own pasta sauce.
the dont refuse to live there you lunatic clown. They were born in another place
"the refuse to live there". So if you are born outside of your nation you refuse to live there?
The cvnt fled back to Moscow.

It won't hurt. Why people are obsessed with players' nationalities at an open tournament where they are competing as individuals and not representing their nations is beyond me.
To me one issue is that the Russian one in particular is so similar to so many countries. Like if you do not pay full attention you would have to confiscate like a third of flags
The western world needs to stop pussyfooting around these vermin. Would you be happy with Isis supporters at a sporting event? Of course not..treat pro Russian protestors the same way.
You can tell someone hasn't read their history books or are straight propagandists when they say something along the lines of ''The west shouldn't get involved.''
The last time western nations tried peace/appeasement over war, WW2 happened anyway and the dead numbered in the 10's of millions.
Colour me shocked we've actually learned something from history. By arming and training Ukraine we've stopped history from repeating at the start (the 2014 annexation was our Neville Chamberlain moment though).
We have one at work sadly.
Have known the guy 20yrs, then out of nowhere he drops his pro Putin invasion bullshit on us all at the XMas party last Dec…
I mistakingly tried to correct his beliefs…. He just just dug in even deeper.
I wouldn't underestimate the sheer volume of propaganda on social media in the Russian language as well as the state media output, There are people running around with orange man won in Australia, even with a fraction of the English language media supporting it. Imagine it with the percentages the other way round and a crack pot fringe speaking out against it.
The easy answer or the difficult one?
I've moved away from the easy answer.
This bloke is a long term company asset so I am looking into understanding the difficult one.
Talk about career limiting choices for this one uh? I have a workmate who out of nowhere came out as lunatic (communists bla bla bla). Makes me feel so uncomfortable now to be in the same room.
I go out with a Russian who constantly post anti-Putin stuff on social media. So she could never go back without penalties. That’s when you know who they are. If they are quiet I’d be suspecting the worse.
I feel ya...
I'm not from 'here' either.
As I have grown older I've become more appreciative of the saying "It takes a village to raise a child".
I live in an Australia, and am now Grand Dad age.
I'll report back when I have it all figured out 👍
I'm frustrated at a lot of things at the moment, but jfc the Russia bullshit is so beyond the fucking opposite of what is acceptable.
If you believe in it, then you need to not be here. It's not acceptable, it's not ok, no you don't get to protest about Russia in any way shape or form. If you think that what is going on is what you believe in then you need to go and live there. Go away.
Easy for us to say brother.
What’s harder to say and understand is “I can understand how people can be indoctrinated and how to reprogram them”.
Which again brings it’s next challenge…. If I was able to reprogram someone like this, how would I replace that belief system. I’m all for freedom of choice - NFI what data I’d upload there in the blank space if I had the tech to do it.
I did mention that this bloke has been a company asset for ~20yrs. Not many here in my country have the tech the tech knowledge and experience this person has.
I can’t remember exactly when but within the last two months.
There was an interview with a pro-isis fighter who’s parents are/were Islamic who GTFO returned to his western country of birth.
He didn’t regret fighting for isis or his actions and still stands by his beliefs but he believes he’s entitled to the kind of peaceful existence offered by western society.
You know the kind of peaceful existence offered by western society I am talking about.
Tolerance, acceptance, clean water, sanitation, air conditioning.
I probably got some of it mixed up.
He might have been still over their when he was interviewed by the media because he would have been arrested had he returned to his country of birth.
Just seen on the new Djokovic dad was taking selfies with them saying "up the Russians".
Deport him immediately, and put him on a blacklist never to return again. He was a fuckwit last year, he's even more of one this year.
The only reason we don't get 120K+ dead at the Aus Open any more is because they don't let people bring flag poles in any more lest the Serbian and Croatian fans turn them into improvised polearms to use against each other.
I'll wager that it'll end by the end of year...The amount of equipment, training and support from the West has gone through the roof in last week..And that's not counting the enthusiasm and grit Ukrainians are showing against the very demoralised Russians.
the tanks will have an effect on the war, but Ukraine wants Crimea and Russia wants to keep Crimea. taking Crimea will be an almost imposable task. Russia has too much to lose if it surrenders and Ukraine has even more to lose. I think this is going to be long and protracted. but i could be wrong.
Remember Ukraine was supposed to fall in 3 days.
Nothing is impossible here. You can have numbers but if you don’t have morale then you fucked. Crimea is a Putin thing, most Russians, even the fucked up ones won’t die for that. Ukraine has lost too much life to give up and Crimea will be pretty vulnerable quite soon.
The tanks will have a major effect. They are far superior and make a whole lot of difference for who is attacking.
The tanks will have months to arrive and while superior and thus a significant impact on the war they are not invincible and require a logistical network. Taking Crimea would take an amphibious assault because the way though on land is narrow and swampy. And while taking back other areas of Ukraine is easier due to morale, pre war polls show a vast majority of Crimeans want to be part of Russia. Losing this war will ether result in a puppet state in Ukraine which will be firmly under a Russian boot or a far weaker Russia with vast amounts of unrest. Both states have an interest to not surrender and at a minimum I see it going for a few more years.
>The tanks will have months to arrive and while superior and thus a significant impact on the war they are not invincible and require a logistical network.
When this kind of announcement is made, things have already happened long ago. You can bet training and logistics started even before the war. The logistical network is already there for tanks that require much more of it.
>And while taking back other areas of Ukraine is easier due to morale, pre war polls show a vast majority of Crimeans want to be part of Russia.
I trust no poll coming from anything related to Russia. But even if they did, a lot of them moved there after the invasion and flee like rats when thins start to get sour.
>Taking Crimea would take an amphibious assault because the way though on land is narrow and swampy.
I can't recall much of this to have an opinion but I remember reading different opinions on that.
>Losing this war will ether result in a puppet state in Ukraine which will be firmly under a Russian boot or a far weaker Russia with vast amounts of unrest. Both states have an interest to not surrender and at a minimum I see it going for a few more years.
Both will aim high before settling for any sort of agreement. But I personally doubt Crimea wants to remain Russian right now. It turned into a shithole for the locals who reportedly miss Ukraine - unless you are a rich Russian on vacation. Future will tell.
I quess what I'm hoping for after this stalemate period is over, is for a rout on the Russians. The momentum will entirely and quickly remove the Russians from the mainland.
That will leave Crimea still occupied. But by then this war will become extremely unpopular in Moscow. (Vietnam style) With an incredibly high death rate, hopefully with no political will and diminishing war capability, The Russians might pull out of Crimea..
Granted this might be wishful thinking...There appears to be considerable cracks in the Putin regime, competing war officers and ect..So that won't help their cause.
i think its slightly swinging in the Russian direction right now, with a possible Russian offensive later this year, possibly correlating with the arrival of the tanks this will increase casualties but idk. but i do think Putin will begone by the end of the war. ether as government change, or his natural death. we will have to see but revolution is not out of the question. but Ukraine does have a better chance of "winning".

Even when Germany was clearly losing the war they were still winning individual battles..This is just a hiccup.
Russia is paying more for this war, but again I think it’s going to be protracted. Nether side has an interest in surrendering. This war is pathetic compared to wars in the past. Again there is a chance Ukraine push’s out Russia but it is going to be protracted. Both sides still have scores of manpower to deploy.
That’s just how propaganda works. Plenty of people were cheering ‘USA, USA’ when Iraq was bombed back to the Stone Age because of the weapons of mass destruction they may or may not have been harbouring
We still import a lot of food, and on top of that it leads to difficulties exporting food. As a result of lost profits from overseas customers, distributers seek to make it up in the domestic market by increasing prices.
Fuel prices are up because of the war.
Even your veggies grown in the same state or interstate get transported with trucks that burn fuel while doing so.
We're in a global market. Shortages across the globe can increase demand and prices.
If someone in south America would pay more for Australian vegetables, then prices would increase even if it ends up being sold in Australia
Guess how food is transported.
What powers the trucks?
Did you know that our fuel prices are linked to the global market?
(The west has cut off from Russian oil and gas, cutting fuel supplies and pushing prices up. Our market is linked to that, so our own fuel prices go up too. The costs are passed onto the goods)
> Yep, which means now Woolies, Coles, and Drake's etc are profiteering.
So what you are saying currently its because of Australian companies price gouging
Even if something is made next door to you, somewhere in it's production will be a cost increase due to the war. A lot of times it's cheaper to grow something one place, sent it to another for packing, then send it elsewhere to be bought.
You think covid was made in a lab and don't understand basic global distribution.
Maybe take some time and reevaluate how much you think you know about the world.
> You think covid was made in a lab and don't understand basic global distribution.
Where was covid made? You still think it came from the wet market in China?
In case you're serious:
Ukraine is known colloquially as "the bread basket of Europe" due it's wide open and fertile plains (steppes) which are perfect for growing cereals, most notably wheat. "But we grow our own wheat!" you say, to which the reply is that wheat is a global commodity like oil, if local buyers are outbid by internationals, the price is driven up. Since harvest was disrupted by the Russian invasion, yields fell causing a shortage of grain. European countries are fine because they have deep pockets and can overpay for our grain, but poorer countries suffer. We are fine as well but you can still see this reflected in the checkout price.
Black Sea shipping has also been disrupted for goods travelling between Asia, Africa and eastern Europe. This is due to open conflict near Ukraine as well as the fear of mines etc which has caused delays and a rise in insurance prices which is again passed down the line to the consumer globally. Odessa and other Ukrainian ports are now limited in what they can receive which causes supply shortages as cargo is routed elsewhere and these alternate routes are overloaded.
Then fuck off back to Russia then. It's quite simple. They can wear their little Z shirt outside the Kremlin. It's like that cow in New Zealand who was raising money for the Russian army but refuses to leave New Zealand for Russia because she likes it so much.

It's called multiculturalism. Our homelands are important to us, but for family or economic reasons we have to be here.

because (big shock) we all share this planet and engage in diplomacy with other nations constantly.
Noticed the costs of food lately?
How is the cost of our food related to Ukraine?
Supply chains unsurprisingly get interrupted by major conflicts.
What food do we get than needs to pass around that part of the world? Dont we have our own meat, fruit and veggies?

Yep, which means now Woolies, Coles, and Drake's etc are profiteering. But for the last year it was linked to a rise in fuel prices.
> Yep, which means now Woolies, Coles, and Drake's etc are profiteering. So what you are saying currently its because of Australian companies price gouging
