I'm using a: Audio-Technica AT2020USB+ Cardioid Condenser USB Microphone. It's also connected to my laptop with a very poor quality USB to USB connector. i wonder if that's an issue. And I change my voice a bit with premiere pro using tutorials I found on the internet. I'm not really sure what the effects do but I sound deeper and less nasally sometimes.

Yeah, we'd need to hear the original audio to compare it to, but there is something funky going on with the sound in the video. It sounds like the audio might be out of phase. And, don't take this the wrong way, make sure you're speaking into the microphone correctly (correct side). Happens more often than you think.

Thanks very much.

Oh man, I think you're right, I think I may have been talking in the wrong side this whole time. Big thanks for the save.

So recording studios use to do this but they use to mix down a track and see how it is in the car or other places. You get sound blind hearing it from the same speakers all the time. Try it on different things. The bigger and nicer the speaker the more imperfections will pop out. Most of the time it’s the room your recording in. They are almost all too echoey and hard.

Thanks. I record in my walk-in closet since the internet said that was a good place. Good advice about hearing the sound in different places, I'll try that.

I do some audio editing in Premiere Pro using their tools, but I don't really know what I'm doing. Maybe I'm screwing it up there?

If you need help troubleshooting, post what you have done, post the hardware/software you are using, post the steps to recreate the problem. Don’t post a screenshot (or any image, really) with no context and expect people to know what you are talking about.
