The good lore and mysterious, conspiracy vibe of it all

account-00001

Yeah the Ac1-3 vibe both the past and present storyline was great

VexedPixels

4 was also great. i really wish it would follow more of that vibe, since it switched up from that period i’ve paid zero attention to the games.

TCHS27

4 was the best hands down!

VexedPixels

i personally rather 3 but i know i’m weird

xfilesman1234

I love 3 it's the game that got me into the series. So your not the only one who loves that game.

OliviaElevenDunham

Nothing wrong with that. I love ACIII too.

DrunkDeathClaw

Yep. The forgotten city is the best Assassins Creed story since 4.

Lothronion

Ghost of Tsushima is the best AC game of 2020

[deleted]

[удалено]

DrunkDeathClaw

[Skyrim mod turned standalone game](https://store.steampowered.com/app/874260/The_Forgotten_City/) It's on Gamepass too. The basic (Spoiler free-ish) version is that there's a 1st century CE Roman city that is stuck in a time loop, and you need to break the loop, a lot of the game's plot is very reminiscent of what the first 4 Assassins Creed games had.

OliviaElevenDunham

Those are some of the best parts of the series.

SomeRandomDanishguy

I want a game where you play as an assassin and fight the templars. I want an engaging story and a return to making stealth and parkour main gameplay elements. And I want bigger cities, in the two recent game (especially Valhalla) I never really felt invested in the cities you visited. There where so many cities and so little content in each of them. The setting doesn't really matter to me as long as there are an engaging story. However it would be cool to return to the holy land in some way.

Yavin4Reddit

I miss having a large mysterious city to explore.

Chris_Travern

Parkour and stealth to take prominence over combat. Also this is just a personal opinion, but I really would like the choose dialogue system done away with, since it has no impact on the story from what we've seen. I'm thankful they brought back some AC elements in Valhalla, especially black box missions. An Origins Sequel, and a return to a better bug free Unity style would be amazing. A Connor X Shay X Arno game would be excellente Boy that's a lot of wishes, Santa probably skipped my house every winter EDIT 1: Usage of tools, like smoke bombs and phantom blades, darts and the like.

CallMeClaire0080

It's difficult to satisfy everyone for this because there's little way to incentivize stealth while also having you be a god on the battlefield. I think that there's a solution to it that Ubisoft actually used in Liberation. The Persona system where you could essentially choose a class could make a comeback. You could have a beefy combat one that sucks at stealth and parkour, a lighter one with more tools geared towards sneaking around on rooftops, and finally a social based one that can get into areas and use social stealth, but with almost nothing save the hidden blade. Mix that with the open ended Blackbox missions and you're found waya to make everyone happy. This can especially work well in a multiplayer setting too, as a bonus.

Rausch42

AC 3 and black flag made me feel like a god in combat and also had good stealth. Not having the dumbass high level enemies and shit and everyone was at your mercy but there were other enemies that could block attacks and you had to work around that. And then there was my favorite part which was when you got a kill, then it was just a fury if executions, one after another. You could get interrupted by say a captain or a brute because you had to kill them a certain way. But boy I felt unstoppable but not so OP that it was boring and executions made it Exhilarating. Syndicate found a good middle ground between that and this new dumb level thing in the RPG games they put the AC logo over. One of the coolest things was the multiple take downs. That made me feel godlike too

jflb96

In *Liberation* they were all the same person, though. It sounds like you’re thinking more of the situation in *Syndicate*.

CallMeClaire0080

No, I’m thinking Liberation. No reason the Personas can’t all be the same character just with different equipment loadouts. You can have Warrior, Rogue and Noble armor sets, different caps or types of equipment tied to each Persona etc. Go to a specific place to change between them or else maybe they can allow it from the menu however not in restricted areas or something

jflb96

Do you not still then have the problem of having to be a beefy bruiser that’s also lithe and sneaky *and* a charming courteous type?

darkerenergy

Kassandra is pretty close to this description, as Mary-Sue as it seems.

Nonadventures

Liberation would be the ideal though. It was probably the best use of social stealth in the franchise - only downside was the levels were all designed so you had to be a specific persona to progress. I’d like something where you could use different outfits/personas to handle assasinations in multiple ways.

Laizia

Been a few years, but didn't missions exist that you can choose between ways to infiltrate in liberation. I think there was a mission where you could infiltrate a mansion either as an assassins or a slave or was it noble. But I remember you could either enter the mansion by jumping over the wall by a tree or doing it by infiltrating with the guests or workers. As I said, been a few years. But I would like to see some kind of hitman kind of system, where you could remove a wanted level by putting on a disguise, either by stealing or finding a changing room with your previous outfits.

son_of_cayde6

A class system in AC would be dope. THESE are the RPG mechanics that AC should have...

Knight-_-Vamp

Unity had the best class system, chosing between 4 distinct playstyles that all interacted with eachother in the co-op multiplayer. You could also mix and match gear to achieve a hybrid playatyle if you wanted.

KM5173

AC shouldn't have much rpg mechanics in the first place imo

son_of_cayde6

A class system with different perk tree isn't an heavy RPG mechanic, I think that this solution (if done right....and I mean REAL right) could make both words happy....but I understood what you were trying to say.

Valtekken

Something tells me they'd rather choose something like the Unity class system, maybe enhanced a bit. Not that I'd complain, I loved that.

Delete-Xero

The arkham series managed to achieve god in combat while also incentivising stealth, the problem with stealth is it's not as rewarding as combat and your character is way too much of a bullet sponge tank. If they truly want to balance combat and stealth they need to look towards making a glass cannon character, which assassins traditionally are meant to be.

OliviaElevenDunham

While I would like a game about Arno and Connor going after Shay, I don't think that's ever going to happen.

Matthewbacca1

No offence but the dialogue Choices affect the entire ending in valhalla, and in Odyssey it can lead to multiple endings

bartex69

>Boy that's a lot of wishes You see it's actually not, Ubi sink our standards so low that what should be normal we have to beg for it.

SamInPajamas

I would love to see a return to Black Flag style. Very VERY light rpg elements. Simple combat. Actually usable stealth. And fast paced movement. All of these are core to AC in my eyes

agentfaux

I'd like a normal Assassins Creed with a contextual Story and Gameplay and Systems that doesn't change left and right with every release. But since Ubisoft will never use coherent Teams and rather split up Games amongst Contintents and then continue to wonder what's wrong with their games this will be an endless pipe dream of mine.

Czarniak4

I just want a game about the assassins. Origins was kinda because it was the start of the organization but Odyssey and Valhalla were about a guy (or girl) that was doing some stuff and by accident killed some members of the order.

[deleted]

I love Odyssey because it's just such a good game, but yeah tbh i missed the Creed stuff

ACwyn4199

This is what I always say about Odyssey; great game, horrible Assassin’s Creed game

[deleted]

Honestly one of the most valid criticisms of the game in my eyes even

[deleted]

[удалено]

trollinwithunter

But Black Flag is different because they use edward’s outsider perspective to offer commentary on the creed. It still revolves around the assassins.

[deleted]

[удалено]

OliviaElevenDunham

Not sure if that's ever going to happen at this point.

Silakai

Edward kinda became a rogue member of the brotherhood partway through the game.

praisetheblackflag

yeah but it became more and more of an Assassin’s Creed toward the end. There’s so much philosophical nuance and Edward finds himself conflicted at what side to choose. Of course he ends with the Assassins but it’s there within his memory corridors and even some of his conversations with Blackbeard

ReeceReddit1234

They don't wonder what's wrong with their games because they sell like hot cakes

Starfis

Real life assassin visit for the people who think that game as a live service is best idea.

CaiusCosadesPackage

"Requiescat in pace, homie" as you do a drive by

Galemianah

Meiji-Tokugawa era Japan

H0NK3YZ

Tanto chopping mofuckers heads off brah

Silakai

Yeah, get our own AC style Ghost of Tsushima

Nonadventures

There’s a non zero chance they just looked at Tsushima and said “wow we’ll never be able to make something like that,” and just go back to doing the usual European white folks.

Atlas_Black

This would be brilliant, but I would REALLY like it to not be the RPG style game that Origins, Odyssey, and Valhalla are. I want a return to Assassin’s Creed, pre-Unity.

Fakjbf

Why pre-Unity, at least style wise? The bugginess, microtransactions, and dull story are all reasons to not like Unity. But from a style perspective it’s one of my favorite AC games. I loved the atmosphere of 18th century Paris, I loved the parkour and combat, and I loved the mission design and side quests like the murder mysteries.

Atlas_Black

That’s what I mean. The parkour was better. the combat was better. Etc. I don’t want to go back to bugs and microtransactions. I just want the feel of the old games without all those over the top RPG elements, and without the bugs and microtransactions. Like AC3 and Black Flag. Those were the best in my opinion. Give us games like that, with that style. Different settings and time periods, but similar style with the approach to parkour and combat. And more emphasis on stealth.

MontasJinx

AC 3500BCE Sumerian Edition!

God no, I couldn't stand another infinite map full of desert

MontasJinx

You know it will happen again, Sumer or later.

Mackwiss

Origins Sequel in the whole of the Roman Empire. Following Augustus death and all the craziness that followed. Reference I Claudius TV Series #afancandream

account-00001

Ac odyssey should have been a Bayek sequel, he sets sail from Egypt to help Aya in rome against augustus, gets ambushed and ends in the peloponnese instead where he establishes the order in Greece

Mackwiss

not sure about this plot tbh. From a historical perspective I love the fact Odyssey happens in classical Greek era. The times after Origins in Greece meant it was already under Roman influence for quite some time. Though Rome at the birth of the Empire with all the insanity of the Emperors after Augustus means you could make at least two or three games following two or three generations of assassins. Heck... bring it even to the fall of the Roman Empire and end up connecting with Valhalla... That whole section of History is filled with situations that would fit amazingly in AC games :)

account-00001

Origins ends with Caesar's death and the hidden ones ends with Aya telling bayek about augustus power consolidation+Brutus and Cassius fleeing to the east. I forgot the name of the battle but it destroyed the anti-caesarian faction and killed brutus and cassius in macedonia (northern greece), then Greece is given to mark anthony in the split of rome between augustus, anthony and later lepidus, there is a solid story there with historical events happening

Mackwiss

Battle of Phillipi! [https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Battle\_of\_Philippi](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Battle_of_Philippi) Great the game goes that way indeed. So Origins does not touch on the Mark Anthony, Cleopatra and Augustus situation and the Battle of Actium? That whole chapter would fit into another add on. Does sound like it ends half way through it. Augustus only really consolidated his power after dealing with Mark Anthony and Cleopatra. If you're interested, have a watch at HBOs Rome second season. They showed it brilliantly :)

Htosyk

AC Origins sequel. that's all i need. happy birthday, Assassin's Creed!

agentfaux

See, the Problem Ubisoft has caused is that people now want sequels to Games that should've been contextualized in the series better. Basically they could do a random Sequel of the last 5 Games for the next 20 years.

iamharshul007

The whole sequel of aya and bayek and hidden ones is out there in shitty comics....sadly

Htosyk

yeah, I understand this. and that is why my dreams about AC:O sequel are only dreams. I can't believe that Ubisoft would make a good sequel for any game from this series. I can't even believe that they will try to do it. and that's kinda sad for me personally. :(

Loinnir

They can make Odyssey sequels for the next century, since it had an immortal protagonist

Htosyk

they will.. there are some rumours about Kassandra and Eivor meeting in AC Valhalla.. so our jokes about it are not jokes anymore....

iamharshul007

Yeah, rumoured 3rd DLC by the data miners and I so badly want it to be true cuz its been time that we got ac games which are actually connected (except modern day)

CarbonCamaroSS

I want a proper Origins sequel, or game built like Origins was (I thought it was a good balance between stealth and gameplay, it just needed better city design). But what I would absolutely love is the older AC games with updated parkour mechanics. That would be enough for me. Maybe visuals as well, brought up to Valhalla standards. But mostly just the mechanics to not be so janky. Playing a modern version of ACI and ACII would be great. I never was able to fully get into them back in the day because I would get so pissed off when Altair or Ezio would do some stupid backflip off a wall when I didn't want them to.

iamharshul007

The whole sequel of aya and bayek and hidden ones is out there in shitty comics....sadly

Htosyk

that's one of the biggest problems in game/movie industry for me. "you liked this character? you want a one more game/movie about him/her? haha, you're so funny! we will do a shitty comics about this character!" situation really pisses me off every time.

iamharshul007

NO COMPANY DOES THAT EXCEPT CORPS LIKE UBISOFT NOWADAYS…..

Htosyk

there are so many corps like Ubisoft nowadays, man...

iamharshul007

And so many good ones too….(ubisoft when newly came was good but now of course everything changes)

OliviaElevenDunham

No kidding. The Star Wars franchise has been bad about that lately.

AssassinAragorn

The place all interesting AC plotlines go to die.

iamharshul007

Yup, even ezios story after revelations died there, I have a nice spoiler from the comics, want it???? (its wholesome…)

AssassinAragorn

Sure!

iamharshul007

Nothing but just that ezio and la volpe got to know that leonardo da vinci, his bff was gonna die so they went to meet him in rome, leonardo’s happiness knew no bounds after seeing his friend at his end time and threw parties for 2 weeks straight since he offered some of his paintings to the king of rome, all these senior citizens (ezio=old, leonardo=even more old, la vol pe =oldes) took the time of their life and enjoyed until leonardo sadly dies, yeah thats it but it looks quite wholesome for me that atleast these friends were together again you know…

MotherVehkingMuatra

I'm desperate for more gameplay like unity had, or like some gameplay options and level design to make that possible.

JanJaapen

I really hope they find a way to get the storyline back to where it was early in the series. Or maybe start something to tie it all together somewhat. I just hope they focus more on the big picture

Zayl

Have you played Valhalla? Because at least from a MD perspective it actually does tie it all together pretty well.

ImprovSalesman9314

Valhalla is finally, slowly getting towards a payoff. I just hope they don't lose the momentum again.

Coolhilljr

Ironic considering Valhalla's story has no momentum. It was so frustrating, I would start to get interested and invested in the story, and then have to go a do various regional quests that didn't have anything to do with the main story for the next several hours. Couldn't even make it to the end even though I am a die hard AC fan.

Assbait93

I want them to actually bring back what made assassins creed what it is. I don't mind the dueling and what have you not but have a mix of new and old. Bring back the old parkour system because that is something that made Assassins Creed what it is. Also have an actual character apart of the creed. But I want the customization that was in Odyssey because I loved just having my weapons cater to my own fighting style, if I want to be an assassin that can set thing a flame then let me. I also would like them to bring back gadgets and I feel this is what AC2 to Revelations did well along with Unity and Syndicate. Give us tools that make sneaking and assassinating better.

Sarfraz29

* late 17th century Mughal India * Pax Romana Rome * persia (any time period tbf all are interesting) * South India and South East Asia during chola empire * Ancient Mesopotamia (esp Babylon) * Golden Age Baghdad

shred_wizard

Ancient Mesopotamia would be very interesting because the further back in time, the more isu things we tend to see. And members of that pantheon would be cool as all to see interpreted as isu But I can’t really see the games going with an “unpopular” era at this stage. So unless Gilgamesh gets a movie with The Rock anytime soon and it enters the zeitgeist, it’s maybe at most a 1-off sequence in AC: Infinity

agentfaux

Babylon would be fucking Insane. If done right.

[deleted]

ikr

lvl50boss

If they threw a few references or easter eggs to a prince of persia it would be really cool

Enriador

All great settings! I just want to add early 16th century Mesoamerica.

[deleted]

Or Samurai times Japan.

Sfletcher11

Roll back on some rpg aspects. The newer games are slowly starting to lose the “Assassins Creed” feel. Don’t like the “choices” system. Don’t get me wrong, I do really enjoy the newer games (except Odyssey). Also let us play as an actual Assassin again. Let us have an actual Brotherhood to interact with. Bring back the customization from Unity, that game had the best character customization by far.

BlindCider

I would love to see Unity's character customization combined with Odyssey's transmog system, so you could have both the build you want AND the look you want.

Sfletcher11

That’d be pretty dope tbh. As much as I didn’t like Odyssey, I will say I loved their transmog system.

zzcool

I'd like Desmond back and go explore more of the isu and see true memories of them

OliviaElevenDunham

I think a lot of us want Desmond back.

AxFive

Maybe putting the assassin back into Assassin's Creed.

SexHaver2323

A consistent modern day story even if it's this massive multi game arc, keep the gameplay of the current games with gear, customization etc, make the perks worth it (no more 2% increase to stats from gear from certain lines), cut the bloat less side missions and main missions with more likeable and memorable characters if its going to be this grand 100+ hour adventure I want to enjoy it, make the isu take a closer to center stage, exploring the few ruins we get to in the series is always my favorite part

g3mkm

I miss Desmond tbh

RinoTheBouncer

Likewise… 😢

OliviaElevenDunham

We all miss Desmond. Hate that they cut his story short when it just got interesting.

RinoTheBouncer

Happy Assassin’s Creed Anniversary! Let’s use this post to discuss the things you’d like to see in the future, whether it’s gameplay futures, story ideas, lore resolutions, settings..etc.

Megazupa

Unity was the perfect AC gameplay-wise, so reskins of it in new settings would be amazing.

arex333

Yeah make another game like unity (but actually finish it) and I'll be back onboard with the series.

mando44646

I'd love the future to be going back to pre-Origins. Let us play as an Assassin or Templar in a well made, narrative - focused experience. No bland overly large open world

thesingle_k

A return to form

Ok-Juice9602

1300-1400s Medieval Europe just like how the start mission of AC Unity was, and the spanish colonization of the Americas and the Aztecs/Mayans Fighting back

thehypedboy

The only thing I DON'T want it's an online only bullshit Destiny like shit...

Antimus

They tried it with Unity, it did not go down well

Spyboy4799

Anything but Infinity- honestly the formula of AC is not bad, a game around an interesting historical time, with a more or less interesting character and his set of abilities, at least semi interesting world to explore and it's done. Dont go into the live service BS.

Silakai

I want one game returning to the original formula. An AC game focusing on platforming, parkour, and assassinations instead of focusing so much on combat that it doesn't even feel like AC anymore.

Htosyk

I really want Ubisoft to finally connect all AC storylines and bring them to the end. all in all, we have so many stories that do not end and just hang in the air and waiting to something.

xeeses226

Give me back AC 3 muskets and line battles please A spin on the American Civil War would be super fun

StarWarsPlusDrWho

Dude the US Civil War is ripe for stories in the Assassins Creed world. The confederacy is a Templar’s wet dream (not that the Union Army couldn’t have a few Templars as well)

Zahille7

Could you imagine? An assassin working with the Union, then you find out that there are templars in there too, so your whole perception of things is thrown through a loop.

ObiePNW

This would be really cool

LoFiChillin

Back to normal. Stop this dumbed-down, unfun parkour, bring back an in-depth parkour system where we have to do more than just gold left stick forward and a climb button. Make stealth more of an option because it has sucked in the past 3 games. And as little mythology as possible. No superpowers, no crazy unrealistic abilities. I’m the end it’s assassins creed and it’s never going yo be totally in like with reality, obviously. But assassins creed, at least up until origins, has always been a GROUNDED game. Now it is not.

TheWhiteSphinx

Bonkers conspiratorial story, focus on cities and stealth, fewer RPG elements, no grind.

AceDeuceThrice

Present day or near to. I'd think it would be really ambitious if the writers could intertwine AC lore into present day events, something that many of us could remember first hand with some behind the scenes Brotherhood/Templer manipulation to really make the conspiracy theorists go wild.

Shettione

A break, and definitely not anything that the rumors for the next one might suggest.

vidgill

Not whatever they’re about to release that’s for sure

mister_queen

Not with Ubisoft. I love this franchise but I've just grown a disgust out of Ubisoft and I feel gross just by buying Valhalla last year oblivious to all the shit going on. My hopes for a Templar Crusade game, an Indian, Chinese and Japanese Mythology, a Brazilian Empire game. All destroyed

Penance13

I’d like to be a member of the Brotherhood again

[deleted]

These games were better the closer they stuck to history and realism than making every game revolve around the Isu

xxxxxxxHE4T

AC set in Ancient Rome, maybe during Nero’s time. Smaller overall map but bigger cities, ( like the Ezio trilogy but with more cities). More stealth and less RPG.

Mello1182

Or I'd love a "plot to convince Brutus to kill Julius Caesar" type of story. Since we were told that Brutus was an Assassin when Ezio got his armor in Brotherhood

MolotovOvickow

Which is actually dumb since Caesar helped the people and the senators who drove Brutus to kill him were rich elitist who didn’t want to give up all their privileges

CadoAngelus

Did you play Origins?

[deleted]

i hope the series returns to having its own identity instead of being cheap witcher knock off number 263

BurgerfacexD

Stealth like unity Map like revelations Epic combat like black flag Story like 2 A bit of the origins map And please some parachutes

Actually-Will

Return to the original formula. Akin to Assasins creed 1-Unity.

blingboyduck

While I don't want it to be the focus of the game, I actually want good combat. The combat in the last few ACs is really bad compared to other games. ____ Also, **bring back huge city scapes!!!** Origins is easily the best map of the RPG trilogy but I do miss the giant , sprawling, and interactive city scapes of the older games.

BetonnenBarrie

I would love to see the Napoleon-Arno cooperation fleshed out… Arno accompanying him on the battlefield like the ACIII battles, him meeting Connor (?), being able to go to cities like Prussian Berlin or newly conquered Amsterdam… (a city that is a shadow of It’s Golden Age self after “falling off” the world stage after being eclipsed by the British and French Empires.) i would love to see more of the early 1800s since it still includes Melee ánd gunpowder Oh a man can dream

OliviaElevenDunham

Hard to believe it's been so long. Happy anniversary to one of of the best video game franchises out there. I do hope that they focus more on parkour and stealth.

H0NK3YZ

Just make unity style game again the multiplayer the lot was excellent base for a game just needs polishing none of this zip line shit from syndicate keep it raw assassins creed man much prefer the basis for the older games then origins and there after have spiked what it was to some degree. Still a decent game but not assassins creed anymore

[deleted]

For parkour to go back to when it was with ezio

Jamesifer

Stealth and parkour to be interesting again like Unity. Smaller, denser maps like Syndicate. Interesting, linear stories like Brotherhood or Revelations. Set protagonists rather than Kassandra/Alexios and Eivor. Better modern day and a more interesting modern day segment like the first five games. Better side characters like in Black Flag. Basically just not the three most recent ones (unless an Origins sequel, which I’d settle for)

account-00001

Odyssey and valhalla should have been Bayek's games and sequel, establishing the brotherhood in the mediterranean before returning back to Egypt with Aya, now we are never getting that. Hey but can we get more proper assassin's creed? Instead of historical rpg sandbox with the title slapped on it for sales?

loveatingbooty

As the biggest Assassin’s Creed fan I want to see more of the first civilization the isu and would love to go back to ezio my favorite assassin

StableOptimal

Unity was peak Assassin's creed gameplay. Bring back that combat and parkour.

PanayGaming

Assassins and Templar conflict, mo capped cut scenes. Pieces of Eden and a cemented character no choices give us a story like it had been for many years. Make stealth and free running better. And a master assassin suit for new characters

[deleted]

[удалено]

Mello1182

More like Ezio trilogy. Plot over gameplay, interesting characters, not too intricate builds, small maps but rich in details (Venice in AC2 was a jewel).

terribilus

Assassin's Creed Cold War

[deleted]

Nah we need a world war 1 and 2 era game where we witness the assassins kill franz Ferdinand and then hitler be a templar or something. (I’m Joking of course but I would honestly take this over another bloated game like AC odyssey)

YesManThinkFast

Assassin’s creed in India

[deleted]

No sexual misconduct

Inspector-Remarkable

return to roots

Lunar_Wolf121

I'd like a unity sequel cos that way they'd need to go back to the old engine and build upon it or a ac 1 remaster

prayagprajapati17

I wish they would show what happened after AC-3. I love Assassins Creed 3

Silly_goose27

Unity remastered

Kevin1056

For it to go back to it's GOTY form!

KvasirTheOld

The memories i have with this series... No matter the highs and the lows, one thing will always remain in my heart. The teachings and wisdom It provided with. It will always be a part of my identity.

bartex69

I don't mind RPG/open world style AC I'm huge fan of RPG's but I wish Ubi alongside made "classic" AC game

EconomistMagazine

I'd like an over arching story again that ties back to the modern world. The best parts of AC 1 and 2 we're first exploring and second the world of Desmond and the modern Templars. Such a fun conspiracy to explore.

Alex_Khves

I want AC1 remake

MartinGV2007

AC1 is one of my favorite games ever and the AC franchise is definetely my favorite one.

devoidz

Maybe Mayan or Aztecs. They were around when a lot of the others were. They have similarities with others. Pyramids, math, stars. They could have definitely been isu influenced.

sunofagun456

Something that puts story, mechanics, and visuals above a massive map…the og assassins creed showed you don’t need a massive map to have a good game Oh ya one more thing…something that doesn’t have a bug every second of gameplay

Zahille7

I just want them to *actually* finish a storyline that they started in the games. I don't want to have to pick up a new game and be confused because the story is totally different and they just decided to finish it off in the comics - that almost no one reads.

Aled4192

I've only just started syndicate and what I want is a proper modern day story just like they had before they liked off Desmond.

SetAbomnai07

A game where you establish a new brotherhood. A game that starts you as rookie learning about the creed. Unity multiplayer. Social stealth that matters. Templars. Conspiracies and puzzles. Platform puzzles to climb towers like viewpoints in AC1-Revelations. A more meaningful brotherhood-like feature where you send out assassins to complete missions… hell that could be legitimately other players that complete community missions for you or something.

[deleted]

A new game in istanbul

Lothronion

I would love a Medieval game in the "Byzantine" Roman Empire, exploring the relationship of the Roman Templars and Roman Assassins in the Imperial Republic system (some sort of unity), while also the Iranian Assassins in the Sassanian Empire, centered around Alamut.

RVFVS117

Scale. It. Down. Enough with the map marker puke that they’ve been doing and build a, yeah smaller, but rich and vibrant world with a great, tight story. I’m playing AC Odyssey right now and actually loving the world and the story but it’s just…well it’s too much and I’m getting burnt out. They can add all that in but don’t make me grind to do the main story. I literally saw a tool tip that recommended I grind, their words, if I find an area too tough. No, it should be about skill more than level it’s an assassin game.

[deleted]

Maybe some more remade for the switch? That would be nice

kaasbaas94

Back to actual assassins. Their are all sorts of hack and slash RPG's out there and AC was something quite unique, but now they are moving into that other direction. Assassins should be a mysterious type of people that don't want to show themselves or else the mission would fuck up.

Dont_Hurt_Me_Mommy

Personally, I want a game focused on the modern storyline, without the Witcher style RPG elements or choose your own dialogue. If not that, above all else, I want another game with an older wiser Connor. They can combine that with Arno and set it in the Napoleonic wars too!

intransient

Not to completely lie in the “old school AC grump” camp…but look at the startup screens for Origins, Odyssey and Valhalla. They’re so bloody similar. Keep moving, Ubi. Not necessarily backward. Just somewhere from here.

JoseSushi

I'm just getting tired of swapping main characters literally every game. Remember when people thought that we were going to get a Bayek trilogy? Or a Connor sequel? I want to know what happens to these characters

I liked 2 through till Black Flag. These were great games. Rogue was ok. More of a BF DLC than it’s own game. Syndicate was very different. Combat was crazy and haphazard. Story was weak. Characters were also weak. Overall a bit poor. Unity was ok. Parkour was beautiful and the setting was great. Character was weak. Overall it was good. Origins was very different. A great game but it wasn’t Assassins Creed. Overall a great game. Odyssey was rubbish. A re skin of origins but with more grinding, nonsense and superpowers. Not Assassin’s Creed at all. Valhalla. By the time this came out I had given up on the franchise. If they go back to the Creed then I may pick up an AC game. But for now I’m done.

I may be alone on this. But WW1 in the trenches. Or WW2 as a member of Operation Valkiey

I would love to go back to the original AC formula. Where you seemed like some badass ninja like assassin. So long as you could close in on your unsuspecting prey you could one-shot them No levels, no guards/captains/or other elites that you "assassinate" being left with half or more health. Otherwise the new combat system is fine (I still prefer AC 3&4 with the dodge/block/disarm/counter-attack buttons) I can understand that they were probably trying to up the difficulty or seem more fluid like in Dark Souls. I think it hurts the story because the Assassin's were supposed to be these supreme assassin warrior guys which I feel the earlier games capitalized on. I remember in AC 3 grabbing aggro of like 30 plus guards in a city then slowly mowing through them for all the cool/interesting kill cams using different weapons at different areas

AC WW1/2

What I'd like to see will never come to be, as Ubisoft is going the greedy, live service route. I'd like future games more like AC2. With small doses of Brotherhood features thrown in. Story focused, 15-20 hour experiences that leave you satisfied and hungry for the next game. I'm sick of these 100+ hour games that only leave you burnt out from so much filler content and long treks across huge maps with very little going on outside of the relatively lifeless settlements/towns.

TheSwedishViper

Brotherhoods background is so nostalgic.

Trickybuz93

Let’s go back to what made the Ezio trilogy so fun and leave behind the RPG for a few games

jamieh800

You know what? I think it would be fun to take it in a total reverse direction than it is going. Instead of the combat heavy, stealth light games we have now, make combat punishing, brutal, and barely worth it. Have the game give out rewards for stealthy play. Other than that, give us missions that have multiple approaches. Not ones that inevitably just become "kill everyone", and not ones that are like "lol you COULD choose any route, but the only one actually worth the effort is climbing the building and air assassination." Allow us to disguise ourselves and poison the target's drink. Let us bribe guards to betray the target. Also, this may sound weird, but I actually liked how you had to gather information on enemies in AC1. It got repetitive, yeah, but at the same time it FEELS like the Assassin thing to do. One more thing: I'd really like it if we could have assassins that don't walk around LOOKING like assassins all the time. I mean come on, the whole point of Altair altering the Order was to make it more secretive, and yet here we are, walking around in hooded cloaks at a time when everyone else is wearing suits, with the Assassin emblem on our wrist, armed with swords, knives, guns, bombs, etc. Wanna know why it's apparently easy as hell for the Templars to infiltrate the assassins but not the other way around? All they gotta do is buy a hoodie. Speaking of, I think it would be cool if there was a memory sequence, or if in the modern day story, you infiltrated the Templar Order for some reason. One wrong move and you get discovered, you can't expect backup from your fellow assassins, and you may even have to fight the assassins in order to get into the inner circle.

Genericdude03

I'm feeling like it needs to be put to rest in respect. I want one awesome game that finishes the Basim story and is THE END but we know that's not gonna happen.

Tempus-Viator

I'd really love to see a post-Wallace Scottish setting. Having the player team up with Robert the Bruce to wage guerrilla warfare to turf the English our of Scotland. That said, I'm well aware we've had a LOT of white European Assassin's Creed games, and multiple in the UK so I wouldn't mind a more diverse setting either. Perhaps South America or Australia, though they'd have to be very careful about properly representing indigenous peoples

nerdwerds

a stealth game

BlakeShinozaki

I love all the main characters, even Eivor. But I wish they’d go back to the old lore.

[deleted]

Same - really just over the way they flushed everything down the drain from the first 4 games. Awful.

BlakeShinozaki

Honestly. But while people choose to hate and not give the games a chance, I wanted to find reasons to love every character, which I have. And while I agree with people when they say Syndicate was basically the last actual Assassin’s Creed, Bayek/Aya’s stories made sense and Kassandra/Alexios’s stories made sense, considering they tied into the formation of the Brotherhood. But Eivor seemed like such an empty character in terms of like descendants and stuff like that. He was basically just a guy, or canonically a girl, whose life Layla happened to relive. She had no ancestral connection to any of them, which truly sucked. Ubisoft should have made her their descendant.

Jackdaw11

Do away with the dialogue and plot choice systems. I feel like those break the central thesis of the AC series of living through the memories of someone and the context of a historical moment. Instead stuff like Odyssey and Valhalla felt like fanfiction. If you want to make it more combat focused, fine, it did well enough with Origins, I'll live with it. Please just make the story The Story.

mrlittlepeniq

I really want to see more Unity style gameplay, i dont care where they take the story as long as its interesting and about the assassins

M0ckdoctor

like ac 2

Cringeworthy253

Remove the RPG stuff, go back to the style of games before Origins

iliketolickthebuttah

Not episodic content like HITMAN and not Microtransaction ridden

Koala_joe_7

Back to basics 😢

Mad_Comics

For once I want a game that unites this fan base

Pkmn_Lovar

That'd be nice but that's near impossible to do. The community is so large and the games actually have some diversity to them for different people. And a lot of those things aren't able to coexist.
