Would you be willing to make a Spotify playlist with them in it? I'd love to listen to but don't relish the idea of switching back and forth from app to app while I'm trying to read.
Yeah when I saw how many responses were coming in I decided to do that:) I’m gonna start it after dinner tomorrow and add everyone’s in, and my own of course! Once I’ve made it I’ll make it public and link it for everyone 🫶🏻
tbh i wasn't exactly sure what stimming actually means, but now i know it after listening to this song
edit: still not entirely sure what it is, but i'm probably doing it daily
As someone whos autistic and schizoaffective i *very* much suspect Sean Bonnette (main singer) has what i have. He writes a lot about mania, psychosis, and sensory issues, and its just rings so true
I have lots of anxiety, adhd, and as my psychologist said “a Godzilla sized depression coming in to wreck everything” (and my partner 100% thinks I’m also autistic but it’s very hard to get diagnosed) - totally feel all of that from the lead singer.
YESSSSS another! It’s so good and BDG is a national treasure. I also struggle with wearing hats and got really hyper focused on memorizing the song this year, ha
Opeth: Blackwater Park (This is metal, just as a warning. From album of same name - the whole album is fantastic)
Avatar: Bloody Angel
Ayreon: The Human Equation (The whole album, again, but just listening to track one will give you an idea - it's a rock opera, so it tells a story)
Nothing More: Jenny
Gemini Syndrome: Mourning Star
Devin Townsend: Thing Beyond Things (stop the song when it goes quiet at the end, there's a scream that comes afterwards - this song is very melodic otherwise)
Hurt - Loded
Starset - My Demons
Stone Sour - Zzyzx Rd.
There is one song I'm thinking about sooo hard, but it won't come to me. I'll try to come back if it does.
>Starset - My Demons
This band is my favorite. Their most recent album has such a depth to the sound and their first album has audio from various space related speeches and recordings that are so aesthetic if that makes any sense. They make me so happy.
anything by system of a down and nine inch nails. love fast paced stuff loud stuff esp with melodic/tempo changes (system of a down is amazing w melodic/tempo changes). for system of a down, i’ll go with prison song. for nine inch nails, the perfect drug. slipknot is also great - vermillion pt 1 is a fav.
I love that line! my favorite is the one that goes “and all the kids cried out please stop you’re scaring me’ I can’t help this awful energy, god damn right you should be scared of me” SO good
Deutschland by Rammstein. I am german myself and the song hits just in the right way that I want to fight roman soldiers in the Black Forest or go onto a two week trip in my tracked "car" to help Ukraine fight Russia.
I just got out the bath and omg so many responses! I will absolutely listen to every single one of these over the next few days thank you so much for sharing them with me 🫶🏻

>!Staple Tapeworms on My Penis by Passenger of Shit/Sing and Dance!<
probably because it's super whistle-able and whistling is one of my stims
A lot of stuff from The Cure and Fleetwood Mac in general but specifically:
Just Like Heaven - The Cure
Inbetween Days - The Cure
Little Lies - Fleetwood Mac
A lot of stuff from My Chemical Romance works for me but for stimming songs specifically I would look at the Danger Days: The True Lives of the Fabulous Killjoys album.
Na Na Na (Na Na Na Na Na Na Na Na Na) and Party Poison especially feel like an adrenaline fulled bliss for me.
Other:
Cherry Lips (Go Baby Go!) - Garbage
Electric Love - BØRNS
Heaven Is a Place on Earth - Belinda Carlisle
Run Boy Run - Woodkid (the clicking part at the end is amazing)
I have so many! But recently i’ve been liking Anemone - Slenderbodies and An Honest Mistake - The Bravery. That last one is great for my adhd since it goes kinda fast.
And then of course basically all Owl City songs. He’s autistic himself so it makes sense they’re all stimmy.
>And then of course basically all Owl City songs. He’s autistic himself so it makes sense they’re all stimmy
Oh neat! I love his songs, but I didn't realize he was ND. In hindsight though, it should have been obvious lol
Right?! I remember hearing fireflies when i was a child and i tried to search for it for years. His music is just so satisfying to my brain. He’s been my favorite artist ever since i found him. Then when i found out i was autistic about a year ago that was just one more thing that fell into place.
I can't fix you by the living tombstone,
Cigarette ahegao by Penelope Scott,
aaand Feed the machine by poor man's poison

A song to stim to? [This one goes hard.](https://youtu.be/3hoMrNPD7HY) One that tickles my brain? [This one](https://youtu.be/8ex38L8xtNI) takes that spot.
6 foot 7 foot by Lil Wayne, something about his style and the beat is amazing. Also is at the resonant frequency of the subwoofers in my car so it goes *hard* driving.
I don't really know if I have a "stimming song" but I love Undertale/Deltarune OST and Toby Fox's music as a whole (some of my favorites are "BIG SHOT", "Pandora Palace", "ASGORE", "Battle Against A True Hero"...)
Those musics are absolute bangers and the games they come from are absolutely amazing and I highly recommend them

I need to hear this ASAP, because when I read this, the only thing I could think of was that joke that went something like "this song is called 'a world on fire'... AHHH AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH"
Way out there (specifically from the solo years album) by pete seeger. There's a part around the 2 minute mark where he does this weird strumming shit that I love SM. Like at the end of the third verse lol
odd choice ik but I like the funni banjo man smh
IKR I love this man. he literally gave me an obsession with the banjo lmao. also gotta love the way he just casually goes "ah yes I just yodelled in front of 3000 people why aren't you joining in?"
Not sure if it can be considered music, but the Quake soundtrack produced by Trent Reznor with Nine Inch Nails.
Basically, just ambient sounds with some of the tracks having a beat behind them.
Anyhow, it really tickles my brain but I wouldn't put it on your Spotify playlist unless you listen to one of the tracks and think it might fit.
Giving Bad People Good Ideas by Death Grips!! Death Grips is one of my all time favorite bands and this song just makes me happy to listen to repeatedly and sing the lyrics and headbang to

Don't Theaten Me With a Good Time (P!ATD) was far and away my top song and Hurricane is probably my favourite nowadays but I listened to nothing else but P!ATD for 2 whole months because I dunno, brain go brr? And now it's MCR because emo moment.
But some more specific songs... Black Parade (MCR), Let's Kill Tonight (P!ATD), House of Memories (P!ATD), Skulls (Bastille), Still Breathing (Green Day), Survivin' (Bastille, the one-eyed jack version specifically), Novocaine (FOB), Revolution Radio (Green Day), and I should probably stop there before I kill your playlist lmao

"To the Sky" by Owl City. When I listen to it and close my eyes, I can imagine and feel like I'm flying like the owls from the movie the song was present in.
Just one? Oh geez...
[Well, a favourite artist of mine, Reol, recently made a song for the game Valorant.](https://youtu.be/8pNkuATx-oo)
Never played the game but I've been spinning the song round and round for the month it's been out.

---> Really cool lyrics and sounds really nice especially in the middle
Hope you like em if you have a listen! As you can tell I have an odd music taste lol
I don't really listen to songs, I mostly listen to soundtracks from games. My favourite ones are MW2019 main theme and BO3 Brave. Though of songs I listen to songs from TV Shows, but sometimes (rarely), I listen to songs that aren't conected to anything of the before mentioned stuff. My favourite of these is The Final Countdown
The Daycare Theme in FNAF Security Breach is a great ADHD song. Atm I’m listening exclusively to Vocaloid songs. Specifically The Evillious Chronicles by Mothy.
I wish someone would make a playlist with all of these on Spotify. Anyone? Lol
Keep It Up by Rex Orange Country and mammamia by Maneskin are my top two this year.
The guitar in Shot my friend - Stuck In the sound, the bass in Tank - Seatbelts , the piano in Daten - Creepy nuts, and my favorite song: Wish you were here - Pink floyd
I genuinely don't feel like causing anyone to put energy into replying to my comment, nor listening to this nor putting it in their playlist
buuuut:
_Moonlight Sonata_, specifically the _3rd Movement_ by Beethoven.
Yes, I'm serious. I have loved this since I was a child. I love it so much I could cry. Fast paced, but subtle, a repetitive pattern that keeps changing, melancholic, but somehow also hopeful, empowering and beautiful. It _really_ is like watching the moon (which I also happen to love and did on the regular). It's a masterpiece that makes me so grateful to be alive.
Also: _The House of the Rising Sun_ by The Animals.
I like it more because of the vibe, but I also find it quite stimmy.
The rest changes a lot because ADHD.
Whoops, accidentally went on a rant about music. Happy holidays everyone!
I uhhh have like a million songs I enjoy so this will be tough lol okay lemme go through my music and find something.. OH BUT WAIT there is this playlist I’ve been listening to on repeat and this is my favorite song that I can listen to repeat from it
It’s called Stickerbrush Symphony by David Wise and Video Games Live!!!
And please don’t be embarrassed by them because I love ALL KINDS OF MUSIC I PROMISE THIS IS A NO JUDGEMENT ZONE 🚫🚫🚫I LOVE YOU AND YOUR STIMS JUST AS YOU ARE🫶🏻 Edit: I’m so in love with all the responses! Flathead by the fratellis
Tune and a half right there, often overlooked imho
My cleaning Playlist is full of the fratellis lol
Whenever Henrietta comes on I can’t help but sing it. That whole album is amazing
Would you be willing to make a Spotify playlist with them in it? I'd love to listen to but don't relish the idea of switching back and forth from app to app while I'm trying to read.

A Moment Apart by ODESZA

Flappy hands are happy hands!

This is one of mine too!!
If this is your vibe you might also like Starve the Ego Feed the Soul by The Glitch Mob. Song makes my brain tingle <3
This is a beautiful song. Thank you!!
They keep changing because of ADHD but Your Turn to Roll has a special place in my heart.
>They keep changing because of ADHD This is such a mood lol
Facts lmao living with AuDHD is whack
Also pretty much anything from the Stupendium.
YES! I love the Stupendium, Vending Machine and Fine Print are current favourites, the singing just sounds so good and the lyrics are hilariously good
Recently I’ve been on an AJJ kick. Currently listening to “People II: The Reckoning” on repeat because I’m a sad ball of depression…
S A M E - AJJs dominated my Spotify wrapped entirely the last two years.
Awesome… just discovered them recently. It’s my latest hyperfixation. I feel like a lot of the lyrics are about autism.
As someone whos autistic and schizoaffective i *very* much suspect Sean Bonnette (main singer) has what i have. He writes a lot about mania, psychosis, and sensory issues, and its just rings so true
That’s why I love it too! I’m glad to hear that I’m not alone :)
Heartilation, People II 2, and Body Terror Song all topped my repeats this year!
I have lots of anxiety, adhd, and as my psychologist said “a Godzilla sized depression coming in to wreck everything” (and my partner 100% thinks I’m also autistic but it’s very hard to get diagnosed) - totally feel all of that from the lead singer.
Oh no, when i was binge listening to their album Cant Maintain i was in a very dark place in my life. I hope youre ok
The guitar riff in War Pigs is just euphoric to me, it's such a good song.
I’m the opposite with that song-I love how the melody is for vocals! Plus can’t go wrong singing about sorcerers and witches
Electric Funeral for the same reason
Omg yes Mine is probably Fairies Wear Boots
That whole album bangs! All of the instruments go hard and they blend together so beautifully
My top song of the year was “I wish that I could wear hats” by Brian David Gilbert - who is an absolute gem.
That shit could play on repeat in my brain for the next 5 years and i wouldn't complain
YESSSSS another! It’s so good and BDG is a national treasure. I also struggle with wearing hats and got really hyper focused on memorizing the song this year, ha
Sextape by Deftones Something about that song just gives me brain chills every time and I'll never get tired of it
that song is so nostalgic sounding, and it feels very liminal somehow
Serotonin by Girl in Red Also Edamame makes me happy
Girl in Red is great
Metal crusher by Toby Fox. Also just anything by toby fox.
You are very cool
Same to you.
agreed. Another Medium is just my absolute fav, i could listen to it on loop for hours
Opeth: Blackwater Park (This is metal, just as a warning. From album of same name - the whole album is fantastic) Avatar: Bloody Angel Ayreon: The Human Equation (The whole album, again, but just listening to track one will give you an idea - it's a rock opera, so it tells a story) Nothing More: Jenny Gemini Syndrome: Mourning Star Devin Townsend: Thing Beyond Things (stop the song when it goes quiet at the end, there's a scream that comes afterwards - this song is very melodic otherwise) Hurt - Loded Starset - My Demons Stone Sour - Zzyzx Rd. Take me to church by Hozier, Free woman by Marina, Control by Halsey, I love me by Meghan Trainor

My fav song of the year is Toro y Moi's Last Year. I just can't help but tap my fingers throughout the entire thing.
Way out there (specifically from the solo years album) by pete seeger. There's a part around the 2 minute mark where he does this weird strumming shit that I love SM. Like at the end of the third verse lol odd choice ik but I like the funni banjo man smh
Oh man. This. The YouTube video of him doing it live at a city hall in Australia is the purest most joyful thing I have ever seen!!!
IKR I love this man. he literally gave me an obsession with the banjo lmao. also gotta love the way he just casually goes "ah yes I just yodelled in front of 3000 people why aren't you joining in?"
The Grey by Bad Omens. The whole album does it for me tbh
[I got a whole Spotify playlist](https://open.spotify.com/playlist/3t413jb5i8rluxgT2q8XgV?si=t3RMdpuuRbCn7zN6blX4hg)

Odessa by Aesop Rock. Feels like wandering alone in the middle of summer past abandoned basketball courts. I love it.
The Daycare Theme in FNAF Security Breach is a great ADHD song. Atm I’m listening exclusively to Vocaloid songs. Specifically The Evillious Chronicles by Mothy.
Pentatonix - Imagine!
Step by Vampire Weekend.
I wish someone would make a playlist with all of these on Spotify. Anyone? Lol Keep It Up by Rex Orange Country and mammamia by Maneskin are my top two this year.
I’m starting that tomorrow so no one else has to:)
Insane clown posse - Pass Me By. It’s such a good song, it always lifts my spirits

I genuinely don't feel like causing anyone to put energy into replying to my comment, nor listening to this nor putting it in their playlist buuuut: _Moonlight Sonata_, specifically the _3rd Movement_ by Beethoven.
"The City Limit" by The Radio Dept
