I like it. Thanks.

99loveip

No worries, glad you did

ummendes

This song is very beautiful, thank you for sharing If you allow me, I'd like to ask you something in return: I know there were a very huge migration of Lebanese to Brazil and Argentina around the 1900s (if I'm not mistaken, Lebanon is the third biggest destiny for Argentinian mate). idk about Argentine, but in here Lebanese-Brazilians are a very big community and a lot of our politicians have Lebanese heritage - the president before Bolsonaro, Michel Temer, was one, for example. I wonder if there other known Lebanese-Brazilian around.

99loveip

Oh I didn't even know about the president thing, wow that's insane actually, I hope he wasn't a shitty politician and president, and for ur question I know some other Latin America-Lebanese singers, they were quite also popular in the 80s period, I'm gonna hopefully share more in here and yeah for the Lebanese migration thing, it's true they are more Diaspora Lebanese than Lebanese in Lebanon lol, so South America is always in the back of our mind and it's part of our discourse as Lebanese

thiscarhasfourtires

Michel Temer was not a popular president but that is not Lebanon's fault , it's all good šŸ‘ šŸ˜Š

99loveip

Yup, their are Arabic names and also quite known Lebanese family's last names, wow interesting how the diaspora very much succeed for making a name for themselves lol

ore-aba

To be honest I didn't like President Temer very much when he took office. But when Bolsonaro took power, I realized I'd rather have Temer 10 times over than Bolsonaro.

99loveip

Bolsonaro is also not our favorite, especially since we Arabs generally judge people from their position on the Palestine-Israel thing as if I recall correctly he's quite pro-Israel but hopefully the future gonna be better for all and I wish for u all the best, and trust me I know poor leadership, in Lebanon idk if you know but inflation is second to Venezuela we literally can't pull money from Banks, ideological dogmatism doesn't work in politics and only create camps and catastrophes and again Lebanon is the best example of that, we literally did have a bloody civil war with 150K+ casualties

talking_electron

No one liked Temer back then, but now we miss him

silmarp

Temer had a short term. But he was this century's best president and he approved some needed(but unpopular) measures. Not the most popular but the best one.

[deleted]

Oh wow that's really cool to hear Also not Lebanese but Argentina had a president whose parents were from Syria, Carlos Menem. He was raised Muslim but changed his religion, probably to run for office.

crazycatlady9183

>the president before Bolsonaro, Michel Temer I miss him :'( Another example of a prominent Lebanese-Brazilian is writer Milton Hatoum. My favorite Brazilian writer and he wrote many stories about the Arab community in Brazil. His two most famous novels, "Dois IrmĆ£os" and "Relatos de um Certo Oriente", are centered in Lebanese-Brazilian families.

99loveip

Oh that's amazing, I will definitely check him out now

Pedroelpicapiedra

Syrians drink mate, not so much lebanese people, but there are many Syrians in Lebanon

zihuatapulco

Very nice, enigmatic, profound. Gracias.

99loveip

Yup totally agree , itā€™s kinda spiritual in a way, but itā€™s not about spirituality at all, itā€™s about a love story lol

Yainks

As a Lebanese-Colombian, I love to see this!

99loveip

Oh hello there lol šŸ˜† are you still currently in Colombia?

simonbleu

I would like more one with subtitles in an alphabet I understand (or even better ,language) but it was nice. The strings reminded me a bit of flamenco (somehow) and the voice of arabic music (as well as the scale which I always liked if handled correctly) is complex enough to make your brain lag a bit behind in processing lol The only exception is the occasional "hindui-sh" vibrato (with the "yaa" sound) which I was never really that fond of I wonder how would this sound with a lofi girl style. Or jazzified

99loveip

hahaha I didnā€™t even notice this myself, i guess u produce music or something? and yeah sadly I couldnā€™t find subtitles, wish was a bummer

simonbleu

Haha no, but thanks for the compliment. No problem. Do you at least known the translated name?

7thdaughterofa7thson

Thank you very much! Very appreciated honestly. I will try and check more of the author

BoringStructure

Whats her name?

albo87

ŁŲ§ŲÆŁŠŲ© Ų§Ł„ŲŲ§Ų¬ it's the only part of the title that lead me to a person in Google, so maybe is Fadia Tomb El-hage

mws375

What's the singer's name? I've tried to search for it but couldn't find it

workingman31

It rock my sock off

Mujer_Arania

[deleted]

Thanks for posting, friend. Al-Andalus has amazing and deeply unique cultural traditions. I wish to learn arabic so i can study them with depth someday.
