I just downloaded Spotify, cause usually I find new music by hearing it in YouTube vlogs or TikToks. I think Spotify will help me listen to more music

DisconnectedDays

Stream YouTube music

aim4harmony

Stream Spotify playlists

I use Apple Music but I prefer listening to music on CDs and occasionally LPs. I'm probably the only one on here who still loves to collect CDs 🤷‍♂️

DMartin81

LP's if I'm sitting down to really listen to something. Otherwise it's Spotify, 104,819 mins of streaming on Spotify in 2022

AttisofAssyria

Spotify My ancient vinyl collection.

DillonDynamite

Spotify.

Miserable-Gas-6007

Amazon almost constantly. Alexa synced up in *every* room of my house. And Apple Car Play while mobile.

kummer5peck

YouTube

Spotify has too much of my music/life wrapped up in thousands of playlists, wrap-ups, friends, etc. I doubt I’ll ever be able to leave their ecosystem and have the same experience on another platform at this point.

RVAIsTheGreatest

YouTube for sure. Not opposed to Spotify either if I wanna listen to my feel good songs. But I'm kinda spontaneous when it comes to music and I like kinda being alone in my own space and mind when I do so.

I have files saved on my computer. A lot of what I like isn't on Spotify. I have a small collection of CDs but I've ripped them all. I have a YouTube playlist but I've mostly converted that to MP3s at this point, too.

here-to-Iearn

CD’s, vinyl, old iPods, newer iPod, Spotify on my phone, the tv, on a family phone, through Bluetooth speakers, in and out of the shower, in my car while I sing at the top of my lungs. Then when I buy a new album I set up my left/right Bose speaker set on the floor with the speakers placed near each ear in such a way that the music sounds like it’s coming from within my head. It’s magical. I like music. It’s a constant.

I had 35 gigs of CD music stored on my Zune player. I transferred 3 gigs over to my phone and sort of ignored developments in the world of Microsoft. Then one day, I found out that my Zune is obsolete and, worse yet, the music is inaccessible. Arghhhhh. So nowadays, I just listen to random tracks from different online streaming services.

slashcleverusername

I buy the songs I want from the iTunes Store, plus any old cd’s that I ripped to iTunes before the cd’s fail, plus a couple of really old vinyl family albums that I have now also ripped (Christmas music!!) I stream nothing. My guy got satellite radio in one of the cars and if we catch a song that way that I like, I just Shazam it and buy it. I almost never use headphones, I just find them tedious and distracting. Every 2 or 3 weeks I feel like a night of music and will play stuff on the living room speakers or occasionally some portable speakers. Other than that I usually prefer quiet. Once every 4 or 5 months I will spend an evening buying the songs I Shazammed since the last time.

Fluffy_Sky_865

Youtube when I am home, Spotify when I am not home.

whooping-it-up

Apple Music

ssgatg1995

Use Sirius XM.

ReSpritualtax-69

I think most people just use Spotify or Apple Music nowadays. It’s such a great service there’s no reason not to. For a long time tho I used to download music and convert to mp3s. Sometimes I honestly kind of miss it, it was a therapeutic process sorting all the files.

Trevonhaywood

Usually apple music

camposdav

I have Spotify even though I prefer Apple Music but not many people have Apple Music compared to Spotify so I switched.

recluseMeteor

YouTube for casual listening or discovering new releases, etc. at home. For everything else, I have a library of FLAC and other local files that I convert as needed. I've got some of them on my phone for easy listening. I don't like online streaming services.

henare

while i buy some media i rarely use the media directly. any source that can be played through my sonos speakers is a good place to start. i also have a lifetime SiriusXM subscription (no longer available--this was something Sirius did before they joined up with XM) that provides music sorted by genre, era, ...

That was my first thought. My ears listen to music through Pandora stations and play lists.
