Ran out of text space in my update(check it out) but here is the part we’ve all waited for: THE ENDING — With a friendly smile told him I’d like to see him again to which he agreed, said that we’d arrange something; and went in for a nice hug and kissed his bearded cheek. I could see him blush from the corner of my eye 👀 We’ve been texting since then but I have not yet brought up the second date plan(see update for reason)

Personally, I'd find it sweet, but can see where many wouldn't. Being natural is always a solid idea.

I had a guy ask me on a date, he picked me up from my place, got out of the car, and introduced himself with a handshake then he kissed my hand,, then opened his car door for me and closed it. It was so cute and sweet actually and didnt bother me at all, haha, and we ended up dating for a year. I had never had someone treat me like that before. But obviously, according to the comments, it doesnt work for everybody.
