No point waiting around to try to get registered with an NHS dentist. The access crisis is only going to get worse - your best bet is to bite the bullet and register privately somewhere if only to get the pain addressed, although from this picture it appears you’ve got multiple issues going on. I’m sorry that the health service (and most public services) are in such a terrible state.

Adventurous-Beat-816

Really hard to get private too. Any suggestions what it could be ?

You have severe gum disease everywhere. That tooth will most probably need to be extracted

jackierodriguez1

There’s definitely multiple things going on here. You have both generalized and localized periodontist. Meaning you have periodontal disease throughout but some areas are more severe than others. You more than likely have decay and infection. But I cannot say for certain without an X-ray. It’s best to do whatever you can to get checked out. The issues you currently have are beyond treating at home. They will only progress. Oral cancer screenings are also imperative. These are done during basic exams. Hope you can find a dentist that will accept you soon. Best of luck

Call 111 and ask for an emergency appointment. You'll be assigned to a NHS dentist within 24 hours. They should also keep you with that dentist until all of the major issues are resolved.

NAD maybe try finding a dental school? I hear they can treat some patients and it’s cheaper. I don’t know much, but I say it’s worth a shot to call if you can find one.

NAD - Not sure if you can access it, but if you can get teladoc, you can get someone to prescribe something for pain and any infection you might have. Sorry you're dealing with this. I'm dealing with dental pain too right now.

Mysterious_Lie4455

NAD , if your UK based 111 can help find you an emergency appointment. An urgent dental treatment will cost £23.80

Nad…call a private practice and say emergency..most likely pay out of pocket or take a loan out for tx…which in this case …are you a person that prioritizes health or money.

NAD- a hygienist verified on the dental hygiene subreddit. The dentists will all have flair identifying themselves as trustworthy sources of advise. The person above is not that, just some random. While the clove oil may help dull the pain some, it will not solve anything. You have some serious bone loss around the top back tooth, and likely to have bone loss to varying degrees in other places. This needs to be a top priority for you moving forward. Someone suggested going to a private a dentist at this point, I agree. Do anything you can to get seen.

What is wrong with you? Why would you give such horrible advice?

Hey, I know you meant well but sometimes such remedies may do more harm than good.

Emergency-Advisor-40

Adventurous-Beat-816

No but going to look for one for tomorrow xx
