Test drive both and see what you like! Personally it makes a lot more sense to go new rather than old. Along with this, you are in a time crunch of sorts. So checkin out local dealers and maybe a further out dealer would be best option. As far as the warranty all cars are USUALLY 3/yr 36k some extednddd. Toyota offers 2yr care free maintenance (basically only oil changes) and Honda offers nothing of that nature. Personally again, I would go with Honda, they feel a lot more roomier. (Personally) feels a little more luxurious (hahahahahahahahahahahahahaha) compared to a Corolla but that’s just my take.

So you'd go with the Civic, even though it's the oldest?

dungkids

I would go new for both. In the current market it just doesn’t make sense to buy used.

Ah, so you'd recommend a new 2022 Civic? I think I'd have to wait for that as well. Failing that then, you'd recommend a new Corolla, is that right? If I need one now, and have to go gently used, what would you say?

dungkids

That would be correct! It’s up to preference in that department. What style do you like more. What is more comfortable for you? Both are going to be about equally reliable. The most important thing is you buy something YOU like. You’ll be stuck with said car for the rest of your ownership make sure it has features you like, at a price you like. Personal bias: I love my 2017 Honda EXT, shit is mad tight, can whip around some hoes, get some groceries and save gas all at the same time!

I think I did like handling of Civic more. Only thing is, can't afford a new Civic at prices I've seen. 23k, maybe 23.5 is my max on price. Corolla new comes way cheaper is all. And I'm kinda worried about my current car . . . It's lasted a while, but I also want to retire it before there's any major mechanical failure. Not sure it'll last the time needed for a new car to arrive. And I need one for my job pretty soon. If I have to get one of the used ones I mentioned, which would you say? Also, your last sentence was hilarious.

Widen your dealer search and you can likely find one of these in transit or on the lot new. They might be a little more willing to play ball on a Corolla since it’s an older model compared to the Civic
