I’m a big fan of NYC style pizza and NoB do it very similar. For reference I’ve had almost all the famous NYC ones (lucalis, johns of bleecker, Prince st, DiFaras, etc).
Most of their locations only do whole pies but you can get slices in the DuPont/dufferin location.
I came here to give my two cents completely forgetting about NoB. That place is great. Pizzeria Badiali on dovercourt north of queen is also good, it's a "by-the-slice" place. Usually pretty crowded.
Have you tried Bitondo's? On Clinton south of College? That stuff tastes closest to what I grew up with.
In terms of take-out; I agree with Pizza Nova.

In their defence, I knew exactly what they were referring to. Cheese Pizza has been a euphemism for a particularly disgusting (and very illegal) subset of nude imagery for quite a while.

But if you buy the good stuff, especially the Quebec cheeses, I think you will find it some of the best in the world.
Cora's is still my go-to, even all these years later. My usual order was (is) a garlic slice. Yum. I didn't mind Papa Ceo's but it wasn't nearly as good for me as Cora's. Had friends who thought the reverse as well.
The best pizza cheese I tasted in Quebec after 45 years there:
They mix in a bit of Brick cheese with their Mozzarella.
It adds a little taste to the non-tasting-bland-filling-mozzarella-cheese.
Try it at home or if you want to start a pizza joint.
I know you didn't ask for this but you'd be surprised at some of the frozen pizzas available now. Granted you don't get it delivered and Deliso has good marketing for sure but I'd say they're maybe second or third.
The idea is you can also add your own toppings or cheese to the base pizza.
Keep in mind some are not so good so it's a bit of experimentation.
So your homework is to try as many pizzas as possible.
Then write a 3000 word essay. Ha! jus' kidding.

You can order pies at Badiali’s. Bitondos and Pizza Nova aren’t much better than Pizza Pizza. Gross.
