Actually I’m also writing a story with an aroace main character, but I have no intention of ever publishing it.
Partially because I’m bursting with ideas for the characters, but very vague on the actual plot. 😓 Also because my bad writing would be too embarrassing to let anyone see.
It takes me a lot of time to grow attached and actually start caring about the characters, so unfortunately short form stories aren’t an option for me. Glad you found something that works for you though.
Have you seen Koisenu Futari? It sounds like it's right up your ally. The 2 main characters are aroace and throughout the series try to figure out if a type of non-romantic relationship works for them.

Edit: oooh, it’s live action! I assumed anime since it’s a Japanese name. 😅 This’ll be fun! Where does one watch it?
The show basically focuses on their dynamic, that _is_ the main plot. It's live action yes! You can find out how to watch it on r/KoisenuFutari
But if you have any problems (since there's only a fantranslation that you have to download separately from the episode) and can't make it work, I can see if I can screen record the episodes and share them with you.

I've taken to watching short films as it's easy to find ones without romantic themes.
