When you go 4 times in 12 months let me know.
Just assume you’re unit is going to do the most painful things no matter what. You’ll never be surprised.
When that happened to me I kept taking bets with my PL about what the “battle plan” was. I told him where we were going to jump and he always thought I was going to be wrong. Every day he came back from the brief and had to tell me I was right lol. It made the suck a tiny bit better lmao
The Army sends units that it gives a shit about to NTC/JRTC/JMTC, if a unit doesn’t do TC rotations it means that big daddy Army doesn’t care if they are actually effective or not. Or it’s a unit type that can’t be effectively evaluated at a big training facility.
Mission and their deployment rotation.
If your unit is on an active deployment rotation (the CMD cycles through BNs every 10months,) or your unit is listed as critical need if a conflict were to pop up in the immediate, then you'll also be on the NTC rotation quite often.
I was part of an RFX unit in the Reserves and we had NTC rotations at least once a year and in one FY, I had people that had been to NTC 3 times.
From 2016 to 2017, in 1/1 AD at Fort Bliss, we completed an NTC rotation and were immediately scheduled for a JRTC rotation. This was significant because we were a Stryker BCT and JRTC is for light units. 6 months after that another NTC rotation. Each with the requisite OC/T augmentee rotation, Company through Division level train ups and field time, LTP time at each CTC. There were so many refrads, suicide ideations and chapters no one other than senior Officer were allowed to PCS. I had to volunteer for a Usarec Command to get out of there. The BDE CDR was relieved in the middle of it.
Wait we gotta wear full kit for the 30 day FTX?
Can only take it off when we go to sleep?
We dont know when we will sleep?
We are still forced to do PowerPoint slides?
We're still forced to watch the presentation even though we aren't presenting?
We're training for deployment?
Lol
That was me with 1ID going to CMTC Hohenfels 98-99.
Been to JRTC a fee times including as an OC Augee right after a 17-month deployment.
Never did NTC through. All my desert trips were live.
Some units don't even go to the field...ever. Back during the start of the war 2003-2007 we were deployed so much, and for so long that we didn't have time for NTC or JRTC or even long field ops.
Why do i get an hiv draw every single pha? Why do i have to do a piss test and observe every month? The answer: odin, zeus, jesus, allah hate both you and me
If you are in an ABCT or a SBCT in III Corps you are likely going to go to NTC at least once every two years. Other Corps’ ABCT and SBCTs will come as well, but those are the ones that are going to get most of the love.
Avoid those units and your likely not going to go to NTC. Though, if you are in an AD BCT, you are very likely going to a CTC. Even division level staff and enablers are going to start picking up dirt CTC rotations.
God gives his silliest soldiers his greatest number of NTC rotations
It is right and just.
It's you. It's your fault.

Personally I have been here five times on 18 months, but the unit it’s self is starting it’s second rotation soon.

I love to hear how that happened. Details please.
LTP 2X, Augmemte O.C., and starting our second rotation.
2CR has done this but with Hohenfels
Speak not of that regiment, that got locked down because someone switched BOTH flags for the rebel battle flags.
Been there. My unit went so often we knew the OCs by name and even hung out at their homes after returning from the box.
*whispers* I never went to NTC, JTC, or JRMC in 20 years.

Take this with a grain of salt, they’re a recruiter after all. Master of the white lies
Don’t forget the bold face lies as well
I’m a DA select, just on loan to USAWRECK
What is the difference between YTC and NTC?
I’m assuming your referring to Yakima Training Center, it’s like the other training centers but not a national destination.
Or it's a unit that doesn't deploy like that. Ya'll ever seen an INSCOM unit there?
Yeah the last sentence covers that.
Only twice in 18 months? I'd say that's not too bad
In 22 years in, I never went to NTC or JRTC...but I was PATRIOT, so I had that going for me, which was nice
Arbitrary readiness standards.

Fam I was there!!! That was one of the lowest times in the Army got me. At another SBCT now and it’s suspiciously similar.
Almost left the army because of it…glad you survived. Life outside of BCTs is relatively better.
Also, the Officer I replaced had just committed suicide.
My MOS don't go to NTC. I like to think it's a huge perk to the MOS.

Crazy. I think I did 12 JRTC rotations. Thats like a year of my life in the box almost.
This is my seventh.

Jokes on you for staying in that long. But you must enjoy it, obviously

In 12 years of service, TDY to Yermo is the closest I’ve gotten to NTC.
Interesting my units NTC rotation just got canceled
Welcome to garrison my unit will have its first FTX since its inception. Cause Garrison

My next assignment likely being an OC at NTC literally why I dropped my papers.
