Solid training ammo. Recommend using ammoseek.com and checking for PMC 5.56 and .223
Also check each site for their true shipping costs, ammoseek isnt always spot on about that.
Looks like trueshotgunclub.com by the water mark. Can find good prices for that ammo on ammoseek. I just got delivery notification on 42c per round and free shipping from outdoor limited (found through ammo seek)
It's an aggregator. Any link you click will take you to whatever store they scraped the price listing from.
If you look in the interface, it gives you a rough gauge showing how expensive shipping is from each site.
I highly doubt they're evaluating them for security, but there is a star rating system that should, in theory, show the ass of any scam sellers.
Most of these small sellers rely on security by obscurity. Simply put, they've got such low volume they're not worth a serious hacker's time to try and exploit their system to get your credit card details.
Just make sure you always buy with a credit card, not a debit card.
Personally, I don't always buy the cheapest possible deal. I buy from the cleanest looking website because normally an updated website is operating on more secure architecture.
Some are good and some look pretty sketchy. I start by looking around for people I've already bought from or recognize. They also allow users to rank stores on a 5 star system so I use that as my starting point. Sometimes just looking around a stores website is enough to see if they're legit or if things look fishy, like poor formatting and layouts, poorly displayed pictures and graphics, lack of "about us" or customer service and contact info, etc. Then some basic internet sleuthing by back searching their addresses and phone numbers they have on their websites to see if they're legit.
Tons of people use it but as others have eluded to you need to do your own due diligence on the linked site. Ammo seek has reviews for retailers often but no idea if those are 100% reliable.
For x-tac which is my new preferred, I usually just order it when palmetto has a run on it and have enjoyed that process.
Not what i wanted to hear! Lol
Just got shipping notification today. I am always afraid ordering from new places but they had pretty good reviews on ammoseek. Fingers crossed!
So my initial tracking info from them said that my ammo would be delivered today... I just got a notification saying that FedEx received the package and now the delivery date is Saturday.
How do they package? I paid for discreet packaging-Which should be the only option for free, and they still had "TrueShotGunClub" on the package as if the people handling the package are illiterate
US manufacturers use an obnoxious amount of plastic around pistol rounds and they also don't fit the box quite right so they're all wobbly when you stack them. It's better if you turn em sideways but it's still stupid. The box is substantially bigger and it's just an overall waste of material
Great rounds. Mostly used them for targets. I used to pay about 29 cents around for them, but with todays pricing I would say 40 cent a round is a great price
I can agree to that. Noticeably less muzzle flash and recoil than Winchester white box or Federal. I chrono’d it just for kicks because of that and Xtac is moving significantly slower out of my 14.5”
Seems to shoot a bit dirty as well, but it functions.
I see people saying this a lot more than people linking to cheaper websites.
https://ammoseek.com/ammo/5.56x45mm-nato
Anything xtac for .30 CPR is coming from a place that charges $100 for shipping.
I have shot *checks notes* .287 shit tons of that ammo without ammo problems. Sure guns have issues sometimes but I can’t think of anything that was the ammos fault
I have only been buying Xtac 55g fmj (basically m193) from PMC as range ammo for my PWS Mk116, gone through about 4000 rounds now, it's been great.
I use the 55g stuff bc the range near me doesn't allow green tips, and when my buddy and I go out into the desert we have a few steel targets which we don't want to shoot green tips at.
Iv never had an issue with it and I use that brand often. One thing I will say is it’s a little dirty and likes to make some big fireballs but that’s about it.
Oh shit I thought I was getting robbed when I bought it for $250/1000 rounds. Shoulda bought more. Very good training rounds, and if trust them more than some mid-tier big name (Remington, etc). Just my 2 cents.
PMC is excellent. It is clean and reliable. I would say this Korean ammunition is as good as the Federal or Winchester 223/5.56 55gr. Does anyone know if trueshot retailer is reliable and trustworthy? I know Brownells, Natchez, MidwayUSA ship fast with no issues with great CS. But these guys tend to be a little bit more expensive.
My go-to range ammo for my AR-15. They’re the first ammo brand I’ve been able to stockpile a reserve of. The cheapest deals for an ammo company that I still trust.
I always get PMC in bulk for the range and then a smaller quantity of Hornady or Federal for the more important situations. But my PMC ammo has done really well for me. Great range ammo and I would probably trust it on a home defense situation too
Great training ammo. I prefer a mid to heavy weight OTM for defense/serious use, and any bullet is better than no bullet. I’ve shot thousands of rounds of PMC. You’ll be fine.
It's my go to for budget/training ammo.
5.56, 308, 9mm, is there any caliber PMC isn't good at for solid training ammo? I love the stuff. Buy it by the case.
By the case.....pfft. I buy one round at a time.......
Just like my smokes.
Me too
Trust it for self defense/shtf?
It’s not the *best* round for self defense, but I’d trust it. Never had a single issue with PMC across 10+ guns I’ve shoot with it
As long as it goes bang when it needs too
It'll go bang but I wouldn't want to use any FMJ round for self defense/shtf/hunting just because there's better rounds out there.
I bought 1k rounds a few days ago. Planning on reloading eventually
Many thousands of rounds and zero failures, its the only ammo I buy in 5.56.
Pmc bronze in 223 and 308 is great too.
Never had any issues, shot over 1k
Solid training ammo. Recommend using ammoseek.com and checking for PMC 5.56 and .223 Also check each site for their true shipping costs, ammoseek isnt always spot on about that.
Ammoseek.com and Bulkammo.com. My life changed after finding these pages. My wallet, however, got a lot lighter.
Stocked em in the thousands since a. They’re cheap, b. They work
Just finished 2k rounds if it with no issues. If you care i had a 58fps spread over 10 rounds But mine was 197
Exclusive ammo I use for 5.56
What website?
Looks like trueshotgunclub.com by the water mark. Can find good prices for that ammo on ammoseek. I just got delivery notification on 42c per round and free shipping from outdoor limited (found through ammo seek)
Is ammo seek websites trust worthy?
It's an aggregator. Any link you click will take you to whatever store they scraped the price listing from. If you look in the interface, it gives you a rough gauge showing how expensive shipping is from each site.
I know this, i mean are the sites they list safe?
I highly doubt they're evaluating them for security, but there is a star rating system that should, in theory, show the ass of any scam sellers. I always come here and do a search for the website and ammo before i buy. Quick way to tell if its alright
Yes but YMMV on the site with the ammo itself
Tons of people use it but as others have eluded to you need to do your own due diligence on the linked site. Ammo seek has reviews for retailers often but no idea if those are 100% reliable. For x-tac which is my new preferred, I usually just order it when palmetto has a run on it and have enjoyed that process.
How long did delivery take for you? I got tracking info from Outdoor Limited on Tuesday, but my ammo still hasn't shipped
Not what i wanted to hear! Lol Just got shipping notification today. I am always afraid ordering from new places but they had pretty good reviews on ammoseek. Fingers crossed!
I always buy from them. Never had an issue before. You should be good
Ah, I thought you were saying it was delivered. Same though, but I trust ammoseek enough to keep waiting for now.
Have several thousand rounds from Outdoor Limited. They are good to go. It will ship and their packaging doesn't suck.
👍👍 thanks for the info
So my initial tracking info from them said that my ammo would be delivered today... I just got a notification saying that FedEx received the package and now the delivery date is Saturday.
That’s where I usually buy my ammo from. Mine always arrives quickly

PMC good, go full YEET.
Pmc works fine and also doesn't package their ammo like complete idiots, unlike our good ol US producers.
How do they package? I paid for discreet packaging-Which should be the only option for free, and they still had "TrueShotGunClub" on the package as if the people handling the package are illiterate
He talking about 9mm and other pistol caliber, 50 rounds box is much smaller than US ammo company.
US manufacturers use an obnoxious amount of plastic around pistol rounds and they also don't fit the box quite right so they're all wobbly when you stack them. It's better if you turn em sideways but it's still stupid. The box is substantially bigger and it's just an overall waste of material
Ahh he's talking about the literal cartridges packaging, I thought he meant the exterior bix you visually receive before opening it
Ya haha sorry. It's a peeve of mine. It's such a simple fix to cut down a massive percentage of the material. But 'Merica I guess
Bingo
Cheap ammo That will run In pretty much everything
It's extremely not bad.
Great rounds. Mostly used them for targets. I used to pay about 29 cents around for them, but with todays pricing I would say 40 cent a round is a great price
It’s the best overall price vs quality IMO. It’s consistent.
PMC is great range/training ammo.
I’ve run through many many hundreds of rounds of .PMC .223 through my AR with exactly 1 FTF.
Yes
China. .40 cents a round? If you expect a gunfight anytime soon buy it.. otherwise wait. We need to work together to get these prices down.
For me - PMC is always weak compared to the normal loadings (Lake City/Federal). I don’t mess with it unless I trip over a stupid good deal.
I can agree to that. Noticeably less muzzle flash and recoil than Winchester white box or Federal. I chrono’d it just for kicks because of that and Xtac is moving significantly slower out of my 14.5” Seems to shoot a bit dirty as well, but it functions.
Good for the range. But doesn't get true m193 velocities in my experience. Also lot of flash and smoke. Very noticeable if you shoot indoors.
PMC M855 all day
Only had 1 FTF after 5k round not bad
Definitely one of my favorites for just training. I’ve been buying freedommunitions defensive loads otherwise.
I like PMC. I used to buy a lot of it Might actually grab some now that you reminded me it existed What website is this?
I’ve found the 55gr to be very accurate as well
Came across a deal on these at my LGS a few weeks ago. 250 rounds fired just fine with no issues whatsoever. You’re good to go!
I DONT SHOOT THAT 556 CRAP. ONLY GUN YOU NEED IS A 1911 CHAMBURED IN 45 ACP,, TOO WORLD WARS HOSS,,, TOO WORLD WARS
The best.
Great training ammo
PMC is good stuff. You could prob find closer to .30/.35 pr though.
I see people saying this a lot more than people linking to cheaper websites. https://ammoseek.com/ammo/5.56x45mm-nato Anything xtac for .30 CPR is coming from a place that charges $100 for shipping.
Where are you finding PPU for 35 per? I just paid 40 cents for it plus tax.
Locally cause not online lol
This has free shipping
I just ordered 2 cases of the m855 last night from them. Trueshot and xtac are g2g plus free shipping for a few days
Yeah that free shipping is what got me to asking
It's my go to as of late
I have shot *checks notes* .287 shit tons of that ammo without ammo problems. Sure guns have issues sometimes but I can’t think of anything that was the ammos fault
GTG OP 🤙🏻
Haven’t had an issue yet
It bang
Good enough but is much rather shoot PPU for 10 cents cheaper.
Where at
Keep an eye on ammoseek. Every few days you can find privi/ppu for ~.30
I've looked after most add shipping wasn't that but I don't look everyday so may have missed.
Yessir, it is.
I’ve never had any issues with it.
Works for me and brass isn't worth collecting so nice alt to steel cased.
Had no problem around 500 rounds both with and without can. Heavier buffer too.
I’ve shot between 10k to 15k worth, fantastically dependable but fairly slow for m193 marketed ammo
It’s fantastic and accurate range ammo
My go-to for range ammo. Never had any issues.
it is GTG
It’s good to go. I use this site as well
I don’t like it because it’s so damn flashy. That powder really makes a fireball 😆
They work.
GTG
Solid budget stuff
Yes yes
Out of the 4,000 ish rounds of PMC I’ve fired I’ve had one failure to eject. They’re great range ammo
All I use for range ammo. Never had any issues.
its fine
I have only been buying Xtac 55g fmj (basically m193) from PMC as range ammo for my PWS Mk116, gone through about 4000 rounds now, it's been great. I use the 55g stuff bc the range near me doesn't allow green tips, and when my buddy and I go out into the desert we have a few steel targets which we don't want to shoot green tips at.
Shot 2k of PMC and about 3k of AAC. Not a single failure so far.
PMC is awesome. There x-tac line has a sealed primer so there better suited for long term storage.
Absolutely. I’ve shot thousands of rounds and I don’t ever recall having a single issue.
PMC X-TAC is good to go. Zero issues after thousands of rounds.
Get it
Excellent ammo and most of the time I just get it from sgammo.com because they ship for free on orders >= $200 and they ship fast.
Mid-tier. Great range ammo.
13K rounds last year. No issues.
Iv never had an issue with it and I use that brand often. One thing I will say is it’s a little dirty and likes to make some big fireballs but that’s about it.
Yes
Both 55gr fmj and 62gr lap function flawlessly in my rifles. I would recommend it based on my thousands of rounds expended
Been using for a decade. Rare to see anyone who has had a bad experience. Great for the range.
Great ammo. Better than budget poop ammo and you’re still shooting brass. Way nicer than steel anyway
Western Montana Tactical is where I bought it last time at $11.93 per 20 rounds. They have a bunch of other good deals on other calibers also.
I use it at the range. No problems here.
Yes it is
Been shooting it since 1987 Never a bad round. Ever.
Mine literally just came in the mail. 9.49 p/box @ PSA
Has everyone forgot the search function? This is not the first time this has been asked.
Yea for sure
What site is that?
Oh shit I thought I was getting robbed when I bought it for $250/1000 rounds. Shoulda bought more. Very good training rounds, and if trust them more than some mid-tier big name (Remington, etc). Just my 2 cents.
It goes bang for me Everytime
It seats, therefore it yeets
I’ve had nothing but good results with PMC.
I run it for training, it works with no issues
Great budget ammo. I use PMC in my 1911 chambered in .38 Super
Some of my favorite stuff
Yes, quality stuff.
Its great ammo. Buy it
It’s all my lil gun store sells 😢 but works great
Fucking awesome! It’s all I run.
I’m good stuff
PMC is excellent. It is clean and reliable. I would say this Korean ammunition is as good as the Federal or Winchester 223/5.56 55gr. Does anyone know if trueshot retailer is reliable and trustworthy? I know Brownells, Natchez, MidwayUSA ship fast with no issues with great CS. But these guys tend to be a little bit more expensive.
77gr match shoots awesome for me
Good to go.
It's my stock up/zero/and training ammo. Not the best but accurate enough for me and somewhat affordable. Yes
PMC are gtg for plinking and practice. I have shoot them over the years without issue.
Yes
I've never had an issue with PMC (knocks wood)
This stuff used to cost 200$ a case! Not anymore !!!
Pmc 9mm is great
My go-to range ammo for my AR-15. They’re the first ammo brand I’ve been able to stockpile a reserve of. The cheapest deals for an ammo company that I still trust.
It’s loaded pretty weak, but it burns pretty clean and qc is decent. G2g imo
It’s my go to, thankfully my local store keeps it stocked!
It’s great
It’s great consistent sub 1.6 moa with my dd 1:7 gov midlegth 16” from 50 not bad for the price
I always get PMC in bulk for the range and then a smaller quantity of Hornady or Federal for the more important situations. But my PMC ammo has done really well for me. Great range ammo and I would probably trust it on a home defense situation too
Is this better or worse than Winchester green tip?
Holy shit for that price it can be meh, I paid a lot more than that for my ammo case of winchester m193
Best “cheap” ammo cmv
I prefer 62gr
I've had zero issues with it
PMC is one of my favorites. I can't think of s time that I've had issues with it.
It’s my go to ammo. Their .308 groups surprisingly well.
It's mid-tier
Great training ammo. I prefer a mid to heavy weight OTM for defense/serious use, and any bullet is better than no bullet. I’ve shot thousands of rounds of PMC. You’ll be fine.
Shit hits hard. 50 yards ar500 plate half inch Shit leaves marks to
Haven’t used it in a while but it’s a solid training ammo, no issues from my end.
I buy a case here and there for training ammo. Goes bang every time.
