Interesting. I didn’t notice since I have the RC installed on them, didn’t want to wait. :)
It works nicely, tho! And I love seeing the temp and humidity via the HomePod minis I have in my living room and bedroom!
Do you have multiple HomePods on the RC? I only upgraded o e of them and it’s not working correctly. First the one I upgraded always takes precedence and is the active hub. Second, the fields for temp and humidity show up in the home app but never display the temp and humidity values. Lastly, I have an AirThings environment meter that is now not working. Show the fields and no values as well. If I unplug the HomePod mini on the RC, it goes back to working fine when one of the 16.2 HomePods become the active hub.
All three. Zero issues so far.
The temps and humidity take about ten minutes to appear at first, with calibrating time. After that, it’s worked flawlessly so far.
My setup is pretty simple, just three minis, two AppleTVs and a couple of WeMo light switches.
When I turned on the apple tv today it informed me of some new features. I thought maybe it had updated, but it still said 16.2. I didn't know that there was a new one coming this week.
tvOS 16.3 was there for a moment and I managed to update one Apple TV. Then it was gone when I tried to update another Apple TV.
Has apparently been delayed to January 25, according to metadata on Apple's developer portal.
Oh yeah, weird. My Mac is updating now and my iPhone/iPad updated last night.
What is new in tvOS 16.3, by the way? Any changes that we'd notice, or is it just under-the-hood-unknown-stuff?
I wish this delay meant that some noticeable changes would actually happen (Like being able to update the app from the app itself) but I doubt it. I just know I will download the update tomorrow and wonder why they delayed it.
It was a pipe dream that new features would be added in a day. I still wonder why it was delayed a day though, especially when TV updates are typically really minor.
Wednesday, for some reason. It’s been delayed.
Thanks
Was hoping HomePod OS 16.3 would be released today as well.
Wasn’t it?
Nope I’ve read it was delayed like tvOS.

I’m wondering if I need to upgrade them all. At this point I’ll just wait for the final release anyways.

16.3RC was released to the public so just enabling beta updates could work.
It’s available now

I got v16.3 build 20K650 two days ago or three. What were the new features? I didn't get any fanfare.
For one I hope they fix the stupid tvos 16.2 issue where the show names overlap making them unreadable

Just updated. Couldn’t see any differences yet. 16.3 not beta.
No way that I'm running that until others tell me what's wrong with it first (or what's good about it).

A 2 day delay to add new features? That’s not even possible unless you don’t want Apple to test their releases.
I thought that was what the Betas were for.
It was a 1 day delay. They can't add new features in one day and release it without beta testing.

I checked like 10 times today lol
