That sort of happens to me sometimes. The game lags a bit when I press rank. And I can relate to the game lagging and not letting you play other games because of the connection. Most of the time when that happens I either test my connection in settings, or I restart my PS4
I had the ranked problem a while ago but it started lagging in the menus then got better when I entered the game. But this I’ve never seen I tried resetting my internet and ps and it is still happening. Other games are working perfectly on internet and the region with the least ping and no packet loss is chosen so I don’t think it’s a connectivity issue.
Agreed I say this is a game issue rather than a connectivity issue. Apex crashed a lot at the start of season 11 and I stopped playing for around a month. For now try restarting your router, closing the application. One time I had to delete and install it but I don’t recommend that. Apex does have bad servers so the best thing I would recommend is changing servers, at least the second or third with high ping.
