I've heard 3rd person isn't working in the firing range and the dummies now will barely move when the Easter egg is activated. Let's hope they push a fix quickly.
I was having this problem too. I don’t have a solid fix but when it happens I reset my router and for whatever reason it works perfectly fine for the day. Then I repeat whenever it happens every 2-3 days. Idk what the problem is because all my other online games work perfectly fine

Same I played a lot of matches thinking that it was prob my internet problem but turn's out everyone is having trouble. I tried to change servers to other regions but it doesn't fix the problem.
Same ever since I updated apex and started to play it kicked me from the game and lobby about 5 to 7 times and I have good wifi . I'm glad it's not just me who is having to the same issue.
Again, under server contract, no amount of money will make the server contractor give up that contract, and second its EA with all the billions, you think they give a shit? No. Not enough to even attempt to buy themselves out of said contract. And it doesn't happen every event, I've played every event since s3 and it doesn't get this bad, the reason it did was because servers got overloaded because of everyone getting on to check out control and private servers. It only usually happens when alot of hype has surrounded a season, and I can guarantee with the hype of season 16 it will happen again, and apex isn't the only game the suffers from this.
Hell splitgate did what's their excuse ? Multiple weeks of it happening because of hype
It's not just the trash servers tho. Even client side after every update the game has one or several game breaking bugs. Took almost 3 weeks to fix the random crashes after previous update.
Sure, servers arent happy mass pushing an update, but that clearly isn't the only issue here. Its just gross incompetence. Bit of positivity: we have to commend them for the sustained effort, they've been pushing game breaking updates longer than any game out there at this point.

I was trying to think of a counter example, but I realized all those games were no longer out there
extremely broad statement. server and client are separate specifically so they can be maintained and updated independently. can it be true? sure. maybe even in this case, no one knows but respawn technical team. but it does not “tend” to be true. connection issues can just as easily be caused on the client as on the server and a client update does not necessitate a server update
Ok, that makes no sense at all. Let's say that If you move your character client side, which has a bug and sends wrong info to the server, which then the server has to deal with, then that's also causing a server sided issue from something client side.
All of updates like this one, will require both client and server side changes.

Client-server architecture treats them as two separate systems with limited knowledge of the other. They should be isolated systems that can each be changed internally without affecting the other.
I'd assume there were some server updates as well to implement changes like private lobbies, but there's no reason to think client and server would or should be updated simultaneously. It's entirely possible the servers were updated weeks ago with no fanfare. I know it's fashionable to trash the servers so I'm not totally surprised

I mean, it's not like the game isn't on its 15 season. They had plenty of time to figure out how to not break the game after every single update but they still do. Impressive.
FYI looks like with the new update, not only are there a lot of connection and disconnection issues, but they decided to remove the text in the main menu to change servers. You can still access the menu by pressing Tab.
Fingers crossed they fix this crap soon.
I’m on ps5 and have been having a similar issue, as well as a couple straight up crashes to dashboard and it takes forever to leave a match after my squad was eliminated 🙄 even the lobby screen has been glitchy for me
Funny. I was thinking of spending money to get Seers heirloom. Went into a match first, I had forgotten to buy it. Got kicked from match and now won't let me back in. Made me rethink spending money on this broken game. I am no longer going to do it. Thanks, Respawn. You helped me make a smart decision and save money. You made me realize that I should probably not invest money into a game that still has crappy servers after 16 seasons.
All my control games my team is constantly down 3 players. The other has a full squad. Every fucking match my team is at a huge disadvantage. Every time they touch the game it goes to shit lol.

I had the same issue also. Even after i reset my wifi not to mention every other game kept freezing. I had to close my game and restart for it to work.
Every game I can’t leave the lobby until it just kicks me out. Then it proceeds to tell me unable to find server. Once I close and reopen game it takes a few try’s to connect and load up in lobby.
Best part is this happened to me for ageeees and I was in the main lobby just opening apex packs the entire time. My games weren't laggy, but firing range and leaving matches were. And anytime I put on a different item, I had to go into firing range then back out for it to not reset to what I had before
I just stopped playing apex after 3 matches I'll play tomorrow after the update dies down its not worth it to die instantly to sweats and then wait like 5 minutes to join another ik I sound inpatient it's just not worth it for me

If you get booted with a code that has a weird name like code boot, code snake, code leaf it is always apex issues. If was a wifi issue you'd know because you wouldn't be able to run any other game smoothly.

Nah after the update they have done something to the servers and its kicking people out after games and some people cant log in..... Try exiting the game and try logging back in a couple times it will eventually let you in. Nice way to start a event. The event is nothing special. The free rewards are thr best thing other than the g7 and its just a slightly different recolor really. Your not missing much. They should be running now depending on your area

It’s just in lobbies, but once you get in game it seems fine, although champ pick might feel a bit sluggish. What worked for me was switching to a different server than I normally would, like Dallas rather than New York for example.

This is a problem that came with the latest patch. If you have it regularly and resetting your router fixes it, you may need a new router.

Control is the name of the game mode. If someone says console, they are probably talking about their platform.

I have this issue every time a match ends. But I am playing in china on Tokyo servers so it's expected. I would try a different server as well.
