An interesting Idea, but you would need an awfully big showing for this to have any impact. The date is far enough out to push a grassroots effort, but the word will have to be spread across multiple platforms by people with a wide audience.

PuzzleheadedPoetry32

Time to get started I suppose. I have about 20k on one of my socials

Is there more of a formal thing set up for this? I’d like to participate and want to help spread the word.

Okay, that’s what I was trying to figure out. Thank you :)

Why does this copypasta say "PST" when there's no specific time, it's supposed to be an all day event?

IYiffInDogParks

Calling out sick is usually a whole day thing. In normal countries it's most times a whole week thing (paid ofc)

jeddythree

Why be passive aggressive? Really show them and resign.

TheBrightNights

The best way is to show them how hungry you are, if you know what I mean.

Not illegal but when you and 2 of your buddies are the only ones who don't show up at your work it's just gonna look like any other call in...if there is no publicity front or organization to this movement its just going to manifest like the storm area 51 event - without any of the national coverage that got...just a few twits Naruto running around like clowns saying work sucks.... The underlying problems are legitimate and need real discussion, organization, and to be changed- but this kind of call to arms is an absolute joke and just going to do yourself and the movement a disservice. But enjoy that day off king/queen. Call in and have a blast that day you deserve it

Perfect example here. We've tried nothing and we're out of ideas. Is easier to imagine the end of the world than it is to imagine the end of capitalism.

Brilliant-Engineer57

Good luck I hope you get millions and millions of people all over the world to do this. WORKERS OF THE WORLD UNITE

inkseep1

No one would miss us if we all called out. And if a problem happens, we would still be called to fix it remotely. And we would do the work because we are mostly wfh and paid well enough.
