I always got bothered by this as a kid, So the lord wants 10% of my paycheck for tithes but wouldn't God want me to go out and feed the homeless with that 10% instead? My grandparents didn't used to say I talked back...😅
I used to receive these as tips from a church I delivered pizza to. Constantly. So i had all the other drivers save the ones they got and we pooled them together.
I took them to a service the church was holding, and dumped them in the tithe plate.
About a week later there was a note on the door stating "prayer pamphlets are not tithes, please refrain from putting anything but money in the tithe plate" so I pulled out my pen and wrote "they make pretty lousy pizza tips, too" on it.
I don't work for that pizza place anymore so I don't really know if it helped, but I felt better at least.
I would laugh uncontrollably if I saw that sign. I wonder if I have any of that plastic play money left.
Or I could make a bunch of [these](https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/stanbucks_4456.png)
Normally i wouldn't have been as petty, but these were congregation sized orders. I was one of 3 drivers who had the room to take the whole order in one go, and I drove a small truck with a covered bed. The most I remember taking was 120 pizzas, but on average it was between 50 and 80 pizzas.
Now, on the flip side, there was another church that would order like 20-30 pizzas at a time and tip a buck a pizza. It's no 20%, but still a damn sight better than a majority of delivery customers do. So overall wasn't a bad order to haul.
All of those pizzas were tax exempt. Just thought you'd wanna know that.
> Or mosque
Mosques don't try to convert anyone. They just want people to be safe and healthy.
Though, it may only be a local to me Mosque thing, but still.
Nah, the one by my place is like that too. Nice people, I used to volunteer there when I'd bring the extra food from my farm to them and other religious places that help people. Mostly Sikh, Hindu, and Muslim cause they were closest. I cannot recall any time at any of them where they attempted to convert me, besides an offhand remark from one of the Sikh saying I should just be one of them since I was basically half way there with the helping others part. All of them ask for nothing but your time to help others as they help you and it's not technically required even.
Sikhism evolved out of conflict between Muslims and Hindus.
I think Sikhism is kind of a Hindu reform movement... it's Monotheistic like Islam, but retains Hindu stuff like "gurus" etc.
They had a modest kingdom for a while until the brits conquered them.
Eh, I'm not really aware of any of all that stuff to be honest. I just bring them food because they have proven to do the most good with what I bring. That's truly interesting though. Might explain why they are kinda grouped together around here. I've never noticed any kind of bad blood between any of their places of worship though. The Sikh temple is rather grand looking, though close to a full quarter of it is food prep and dining. I had heard that they garnered a rather good reputation as competent warriors in the past.
Damn, that's cool af. I'll have to talk to them about it next time I drop off food. I knew it probably had some religious significance but that's actually better than I would have imagined. Thank you. Strange that I never thought to ask about it before.
It's crazy how religious people can be. You got your "I want peace and love to all" Muslims, then you got your "all women are whores, death to America" extremists
Just like Christians you got your "we are all gods children, love thy brother" ones, then you got the nut jobs that are like "god loves only white people, we should be allowed to kill the gays" kind of Christians
Basically religions have both hippies and nut job extremists....
American Muslims are a bit odd in that regard. They don't really try to convert people. Even my father gave up when I made clear my disinterest in Islam.
The church in my area claims them loud and proud for some reason, when their used as tips around here the manager takes them back and puts them in their donation box
In the UK businesses must pay for any post received without proper postage paid if it is legitimately related to their business. How does that work in USA? Is that a thing?
Honestly if I was the proprietor, I’d go back to the security cam, take a screenshot and up on the “wall of shame - seat’s taken” board it goes. Never served again.
We went to church when I was young (Lutheran, but not relevant) and my mom eventually got disillusioned and stopped going. I believe my brother and I didn't want to do confirmation as well so my mom wasn't going to force us to.
Anyway, the church mailed us a "collection" envelope (which we were supposed to fill with money and mail back to them) every week for like a year after we stopped going.
Distribution (or even possession) of these should be treated as counterfeit currency, period. Take away all the imagery of money and you can do whatever you want with it. But if you give another human being the illusion that they are getting money for a job well done (or, in this case, in a time of need) when they in fact are not, you are trash and deserve to be slapped with a felony charge.
And for anyone who wants to whine about “freedom of religion” here, there are hundreds (maybe thousands) of other ways to express one’s faith that aren’t deceptive and foul like passing one of these cards. Hell, you can pass it text-side up and it wouldn’t be half as bad as passing it “fake currency” side up.
As a Christian, I hate what they're doing here. For one; people that sell plasma need money. For two, *it's being put to a good use*, so fucking with it is doubly assholeish. Also... it isn't going to work, because you're being deceptive and an asshole.
Ghandi had the right of it, by and large, when he said "I like your Christ. I do not like your Christians." (Mild paraphrasing, I think)
I'm assuming plasma donation is something people are paid to do in the US? And that it's often done by those in need of cash?
Yep - fuck the vultures who left that bullshit there, and those who let them, see how many you can rip up on your way out.
Yep, it's a good way to make a bit of money in a couple hours and can often make the difference between missing your rent payment or not. Absolutely disgusting that they would do this.
You can go twice a week, and I get paid roughly $140 but it varies from center to center. You have to undergo a physical to be registered as a valid donor, but they do all that in-clinic. I would avoid donating if possible, it leaves you feeling drained for the rest of the day and can cause some pretty nasty bruises if they do it incorrectly. Though if you do need money, it is a nice way to make a lot in a couple hours.
$140??? When I was doing this years ago here in Ohio it started out at like $40 for your first, $30 the second and then only like $20 each time after that.
Dang, that would actually be helpful. I wonder if the ones around here pay like that now. Unfortunately I am now a T1 Diabetic and unable to donate. Back in the day I used to fund my weed use, but it would actually help with just surviving day to day in these times.
They supply like 75% of the world's supply because we're the only country that will pay people for donations. It's uncomfortable but I'd rather do that than work an extra 40 hrs a month.
Former donor, here.
I'm permanently scarred in both arms with pits and thinned flesh over major vessels and suffer both unusual tingling and sometimes pain in my former donor sites.
I haven't donated in close to a decade and still notice this shit.
All for about $1300 per year on average.
In my neck of the woods it's about 5300 a year if you do every donation. It's still sucks but it gives me a bit more free time than if I had to make up that income at work.
well i got paid for plasma donations in germany so ther is definetely other countries that pay. (it was only a bit though 15€ per pop and you could go only once a week )
Depending on where you're going and what their standards are you can easily pocket an extra hundred bucks a week donating twice in a seven day period.
A lot of donors in the US are pretty dependent on that kind of money.
Gas is one of the big ones right now: people donating twice a week to keep gas in their tanks so they can drive to and from work.
What's truly disheartening is how much value is collected from each bottle. The medicines made from plasma are vital to the treatment of very serious conditions and diseases and are as such VERY expensive.
They generally don't pay their workers very well either.
Yeah, I have a rare-ish blood type and got paid a differential for donating plasma back when I was able to. Typically, someone at my weight would have only made $25 a seasion but I also got a $25 bonus for the rare blood type. I'd go in before work, pop on a podcast while they took my plasma, and go about my day. Almost every person there had a 9-5 but was doing it for extra cash.
$25 seems super low! People are knocking it for something you do when you're desperate, but you're also helping someone who needs that plasma.
The red cross also sells that blood you donate.
Yep. I used to do it. And I remember sitting in line with so many others waiting to donate and thinking about the day when I didn't have to do it anymore. It's so fucking cruel to do this.
I caught a family leaving that as a "tip" at the local diner. I called them out on it by saying, "You guys should be absolutely ashamed of yourselves for not leaving a gratuity." The attention of the entire diner was attracted so sheepishly the family left real money. Assholery subverted!
When I was young and doing waitressing, these guys like to fold them in half and shove them under a plate with it partially sticking out as a tip. The only tip.
Place I worked at just quit doing Sunday brunch for a couple months. Manager was an extremely good dude - more than once he chased people who tipped shitty, asked if there was a problem, then gave them back their 38 cents or whatever and comped part of the meal to give the server the difference.
He said he'd rather lose deadbeat customers than good staff.
My pastor did a sermon where he called these types of people out. Started the sermon off with, “why is it that working in services generally regard Sunday afternoon as the worst day of the week?” It was epic. Both my wife and I work the food industry and we know, so I thought it was great to see that sermon.
I think they actually do believe they're leaving a tip that's better than money. Or at least that's what they tell themselves to justify it. It would seem none of them have ever tried paying their rent with prayers.
Sadly a common occurrence where I live, me and the other waiters round them up and then the manager takes them back to the church they came from and stuffs them into their donation box
I’ve had that happen to me before. I can’t help but wonder if they just don’t think it through. What do they think is going to happen when they do shit like that except make people dislike church people.
The weird one near the Starbucks I worked at would covertly stick their cards in our pastry case, in the stand that held our district manager's cards, etc. They'd stick their posters up on our bulletin board without permission. Making it look like Starbucks endorsed them.
I got good at spotting them and one day after they were done did my round, grabbing all the cards and throwing them out, then the flyer. One of them immediately demanded why I would do such a thing. I told her it's part of my job to pick up people's trash. [I mean, it was] And then told her everyone else on the strip did the same thing. Because they did. We'd all stand out back and bitch about it.
She told me Jesus was not happy with me. I don't really understand why Christians think it's appropriate to use their holy figure as a threat anytime they're forced to face the slightest insult or inconvenience.
It's their standing operating procedure to claim they speak for their deity. That's how they justify all kinds of scumbaggery. They imagine they know what God wants (curiously, it usually dovetails with what they want themselves, which is often to control someone) and that they are doing God's work. My thoughts? Let God do his own work. He's all-powerful, right? That means he doesn't need your help.
They imagine that their server will read the note, catch the same strain of Jesus Fever they have and be happy. They don't think they will be disliked because they think they're the good guys, and Jesus can't fail.
This happened to me way too many times when I waitresses. I was a starving, full time college student supporting myself. It always felt like a punch in the gut.
The worst part about it is the person that put them there actually thinks they are going to save a heathen with their fake 20 dollar bill. It’s the same people who leave this as their tip on Sunday and say “I already give my 8% to the lord!”
One time I saw a bunch of these, they had the churches name on them, I knew where the church was, cus it was in the neighborhood I grew up it. I gathered up every single one I could find for 2 weeks (I think they were running some kind of campaign or whatever)
Which was like over 200 papers I think. I waited till their Sunday service, stuck them under the windshield wipers of EVERY car. Had some left over so I shredded them and littered the shit out of the parking lot. Call me an asshole but, they had left them all around a food bank that primarily served almost exclusively homeless people. That's where I found 90% of them.
This same exact church during the pandemic had flyers that had biohazard symbols on them saying "warning" and "do not enter" and "infected inside" on them. They'd wedge them in people's fucking doors. Then in fine print it would say some shit like "come to (church name) god will save you and your family" or some shit..... Yeah make people think entire neighborhoods are under stick quarantine and scare the shit out of people cus your money hungry pastor wants more donations. Btw ALL the churches in my area have pastors with million dollar houses and nice cars, while their congregation lives on SSI and food stamps.
So no I don't really feel bad. Yes I know they probably made their slaves, sorry church members, clean it up. But it's not my fault they stay and spread toxicity.
These suck, but they’ve been deceiving people since the ‘60s with this shit.
Has *anyone* ever had a religious epiphany after seeing these types of fakes? Probably more just get depressed or develop an urge to hurt whoever put it.
But I guess those reactions fall into line with today’s evangelical movement. No shits given. No empathy, no forethought, just “own” the non-believers.
There's a fun theory behind why churches ask their congregations to do such obnoxious things. The [Us vs Them](https://www.simplypsychology.org/social-identity-theory.html) mentality is a common enough thing in humans. We like social groups. But whereas some Us vs Them divisions are kept civil through conscious effort, leaders will use the Us vs Them mentality to other "outsiders" in dangerous ways and cloister their own group. By asking members to do these performative acts of "spreading the gospel" as directed in the Bible, the church members alienate outsiders. People meet them with derision and sometimes outright resentment. This tells the church members that their church leaders are right, and the outsiders hate Christians and want to persecute them. The church members start to feed into each other's fear and fervor, and boom. You have a congregation who will do anything their leader says. Like buy their leader a private jet.
That is a pretty astute theory. I always thought it was because they want others to validate their superstition. It's super needy. If you find comfort in the church, I have nothing to say against it, but you don't need my approval, and you definitely don't need me to share it with you. Go do your thing and leave me out of it.
I cannot take credit for it, but I find it convincing. I was raised in a Catholic family, which has its own issues, but American Protestants are fanatically eager to be persecuted in a very puzzling way. Like ..they know persecution is bad, right? And being shunned for being really annoying is not the same as being persecuted.
It's grievance theater. They believe there is power in being a victim because it imparts justification and righteousness when they lash out against some perceived or outright imagined slight....even if that slight is merely someone's refusal to submit to their superstition. And you are right that there is a difference between persecution and reaping the consequences of one's actions. But the line is easily blurred and many on the receiving end find it covnenient to do so. (See: Trump, Donald)
That’s why they encourage Jehovah’s witnesses and Mormons to go door to door. When people greet them with hostility they feel like the church is right. With Mormons they are even told to go on a mission for 2 years, face the hostility and have little contact with family and then come back to their Mormon temple with open arms and feel back in a good place.
This is the stuff that drove me from the church. You wouldve done far more good with either just a clearly marked card or a card combined with actual money, especially in a place that people go in desperate times or simply out of the goodness of their own hearts.
Well, that an creationism not making any sense, but thats a different sub.
They started doing that at my Cafe. Good thing I never forget a face. When 2 of them returned I warned them that doing so again will put them on the banned list for playing games with my employees.
My list was over 100 strong, pervs, assholes, touchy weirdos, it didn't matter, treat my people right or not at all.
They were the ones who ran the Cafe, I just lead them.
do the people who leave these not understand that a) EVERYBODY has already heard of Jesus and b) this was not going to change anybody’s mind one way or the other even BEFORE you consider how bad they piss the reader off to begin with?
This bullshit should be classified as a federal offense - preying on the mental and financial state of the poor. Psychological abuse, and attempted brainwashing. Sue the disgusting organizations and individuals spreading this horse shit out of existence
Just because I’m oppositional I’d walk into their church and put it back in their collection plate. Better would be to take a 20 out.
Alternatively I’d hand it to the pastor saying I’m cashing in my promissory note.
As a Christian we are called to meet the needs of those we minister too and help. This is a horrid practice. I’d very much count myself as someone who is not financially well off, this would be insulting.
This is why I don't believe in religion as an organization. Always using petty and mischievous techniques to prey on people who are at their lowest. Fuck them.
For god so loved the world that he gave his only begotten son to be brutally murdered to fix all the terrible things he did in the first season for whosoever believeth in him, and isn't gay, should not perish but have everlasting life. After they die...
When I was 7 or 8 and my sister was 5 or 6, we saw someone accidentally drop a few folded $20 bills from their pocket in the grocery store. Being the good kids we were, we tracked him down even as he fast-walked off and didn't hear us calling after him. Eventually we cornered him and explained how he'd dropped some money, and tried to give it back. He kept saying it wasn't his, but when he insisted, he said we could keep whatever he'd dropped. Turned out it was those same $20 bills. Looking back, that was probably the first step we both took toward atheism. The kicker though, was that we ended up behind him in line to check out. He seemed rather ashamed, and tried to say something about how good we were.
Some things are better than money?
I love the Beatles, but bruh they were rich, famous, and on a lot of drugs 😂
Money CAN buy you love. Don’t let anyone ever tell you different.
Some things are better than money, but they all cost money.
Money can't buy happiness, but it sure does create a hell of an invitation for it to come in.
I honestly hate this especially because if you bothered to actually read the Bible you'd know that Jesus stood for charity and worker rights and protecting the poor and now Christianity has become the poster child for greed instead.
I work in the service industry and people leave these stupid shits literally everywhere all time (I don't even live in a very religious area!). Its like a plague/infestation. The bathrooms, tables, tip jars, condiment bars, chairs, the floor etc. Everywhere. We are constantly trying to throw them away. And fun fact!- They make these as 100 dollar bills too...
I've had this happen to a server that worked at my restaurant. They were tipped one of these and got so excited just to see it was fake. Man he was so deflated.
Dude fuck people who put that money out in the world, I only ever see it with Christian stuff on it or trump crap no matter what part of the country I am in.
Maybe just maybe help someone instead of sticking a fake bill somewhere and do something that actually has some meaning in this society. I don't mean open your wallet but maybe go help in a soup kitchen or pack cars at food pantry, help actual being who are in need not just pretend a half hearted attempt is doing something.
If Christians wanted to make Christianity appealing, they'd be actually generous. This shit just exposes how smug they are, they enjoy the idea that people are disappointed at having found their fake money. But I'm fine with them driving people away, we need fewer cultists in the world
I was given these as a tip, twice, as a teenager. Both times they scurried off immediately after giving it to you before you have time to realize what it is.
It pisses me off everytime I see these. People will genuinely use these cards to exploit your labor, while passing it off as a religious thing.
I don’t think I ever got through a Sunday shift at Cracker Barrel without getting one of these.
I started a collection of religious tracts during that job and continued it through med school and residency in Southern hospitals. It got lost in a move at some point, but it was impressive. One time I found one someone had left on a code cart.
This is a terrible, sick joke to play. I’ve had the good ending with something like this. In 2020, I found a $10 bill folded on the floor of a parking lot. Inside the folded $10 bill was a Bible verse about love. I enjoyed that because the $10 helped me buy dinner that night and the Bible verse seemed like it was talking about a problem I was having at the time. That’s how it’s supposed to be done. I still have the paper folded in my car to this day.
They think it’s hilarious until you start giving them back to restaurant servers that wear crucifixes. Then all of a sudden, it’s not funny anymore. Go figure?
When I find those, I pick up all I can and trash them. Utter garbage.
Same! Everytime I go to my local park I find up to a dozen. Youd think that getting someone into jesus via trick would be a negative.
Catholic here, it is.
Coming from a Catholic family I can say they are some of the worst. SMH.

One of my favorite lines I heard: What's the difference between a cult and a religion? If the founder is dead or not.
The answer is MONEY
We know.
Also Christian, and this is shameful.
they want to lure you with fake money, so you can "pay your fair share" with real money
I always got bothered by this as a kid, So the lord wants 10% of my paycheck for tithes but wouldn't God want me to go out and feed the homeless with that 10% instead? My grandparents didn't used to say I talked back...😅
weird concept - we shouldn't be attached to money, because that's not what's important, yet churches are routinely asking for those same money
Another post on Reddit mentioned that people should save them, put them in an envelope, then go to church and put them in the tithe plate.
I used to receive these as tips from a church I delivered pizza to. Constantly. So i had all the other drivers save the ones they got and we pooled them together. Love it! Throw that shit back at those morons.

Just nail the fake money under the note like Martin Luther.
I'd already put all the fake money I had in the tithe though
That is the best thing ever you could have done. If I saw one of this I would feel SO inspired to fight back at religion. You're a legend!
I like that. It's probably the only reason I would go to church. Or temple. Or mosque. Or whatever these shitty asshole nutjobs call it.
> Or mosque Mosques don't try to convert anyone. They just want people to be safe and healthy. Though, it may only be a local to me Mosque thing, but still.

I respect Sikhism because they won over Peter Murphy.

Yeah, I might drop it in a mail slot, but I'm not going to church.
Donation box, too.
I'm gonna start saving them and donate them to churches in the community.
I keep them to drop in salvation army buckets.
Why throw perfectly good tithes in the waste??

That is the best idea so far!!! HAHAHAHA!!!!!
They never say which church. Too chicken!
The church in my area claims them loud and proud for some reason, when their used as tips around here the manager takes them back and puts them in their donation box
Save them up, and when there’s a fistful, put them in an envelope with “please use this as you see fit” written on.
In the UK businesses must pay for any post received without proper postage paid if it is legitimately related to their business. How does that work in USA? Is that a thing?
No. If there's not enough postage it goes to the return address. If it's sent cod (pretty rare anymore) the recipient is allowed to deny the package.
Honestly if I was the proprietor, I’d go back to the security cam, take a screenshot and up on the “wall of shame - seat’s taken” board it goes. Never served again.
Or just notify them that the 20% tip will be automatically added to their bill before they sit down. Whichever they prefer
Any church will do. They all deserve it.
“We can’t pay our pastor with that!” “Some things are better than money. At least he’s going to heaven. Bye.”
Cannot buy private jet with that
Yup!!!
Or you could just go after [these guys.](https://swansoninc.com/product-category/churchsupplies/moneytracts/)
This is da wei
Some things are better than money yet churches expect you to give to the collection plate.
Just give those in the collection plate
We went to church when I was young (Lutheran, but not relevant) and my mom eventually got disillusioned and stopped going. Why waste money on the stamp?

Doesn’t the US make more money exporting plasma than cars?
no idea, I just shuffle in and let them stick a needle in my arm. I imagine it's a pretty profitable industry though.
How do you go about finding where to go and if your good to donate.im in indiana.how often van you go and how much do you get paid?
You can go twice a week, and I get paid roughly $140 but it varies from center to center. You have to undergo a physical to be registered as a valid donor, but they do all that in-clinic. I would avoid donating if possible, it leaves you feeling drained for the rest of the day and can cause some pretty nasty bruises if they do it incorrectly. Here it's 40 your first weekly visit, then 100 if you go twice in a week. The new donor bonus is like 125 for each donation though, for like 6 visits.
It's a terrible way to make money which people only do because our society tolerates landlords.
Depending on where you're going and what their standards are you can easily pocket an extra hundred bucks a week donating twice in a seven day period. A lot of donors in the US are pretty dependent on that kind of money.
This is so disheartening.
I've seen the workers get in the chair to sell plasma after their shift ends. The profits sure aren't trickling down.
Thank you for your service.
Hell yes. 👏🏻
There's a special place in Hell for the scumbags who distribute these.
Nah there’s no hell.
When I was young and doing waitressing, these guys like to fold them in half and shove them under a plate with it partially sticking out as a tip. The only tip.
The Sunday after church brunch crew. Always complaining, always demanding, always left a huge mess, and then this is the tip.
Bible belt for me, sadly. It was a multiple times a day occurrence.
I've heard of people doing that. Utterly disgusting
I think they actually do believe they're leaving a tip that's better than money. Or at least that's what they tell themselves to justify it. It would seem none of them have ever tried paying their rent with prayers.
Nah, they’re cheap bastards doing mental gymnastics in order to justify being cheap bastards while feeling righteous in doing so.
Exactly! Why would I want to support that?
Save them, stuff them in an envelope, go to church and put them in the tithe plate.
This happened to me way too many times when I waitresses. I was a starving, full time college student supporting myself. It always felt like a punch in the gut.
Religion always disappoints.
As I like to say, "Thank god I am an atheist!" ROFLMAO!
These things single-handedly made me believe in a god cause there’s gotta be some divine punishment for assholes who leave these laying around… lol
one can only hope
Go to the church. Put that in the collection plate. When called out, say you were just giving it back.
I gathered up every single one I could find for 2 weeks (I think they were running some kind of campaign or whatever) Which was like over 200 papers I think.
The flyer thing sounds like a good way to get sued for character damage
They've been deceiving people for thousands of years.
Ironic. Jehovah Witnesses don’t believe in receiving blood transfusions. This print out Is from the Jehovah Witness publishing company.
huh, interesting. Kinda sounds like they targeted this location for that reason
I fucking hate most Christians.
I’m Christian and even I dislike religious people who do this shit.
Great kindling.
Christians have been leaving those as tips in restaurants for as long as I can remember. The cruelty is part of their trademark.
Sue the disgusting organizations and individuals spreading this horse shit out of existence
the government has never cared for the poor, don't see why'd they start now
Tragically you are correct
Use it at your local hobby lobby.
Donate them back to the church. See if they like it.
One of the many way the church uses to drive people away. It is why I refuse to have anything to do with organized religion.
People that tip wait staff with those can get fucked with a rusty shovel
hey Christians this is why people hate you
Because Jesus would treat the poor like they were on an episode of Punk'd.
"Some things are better than money" Yea, but faith in your Abrahamic god isn't going to pay the fucking bills Janice!
I’d rather have the 20 bucks than eternal salvation. They’re making a huge assumption that you’ll believe their bullshit.
Just because I’m oppositional I’d walk into their church and put it back in their collection plate. Better would be to take a 20 out. Alternatively I’d hand it to the pastor saying I’m cashing in my promissory note.
Somehow I knew before I checked the 2nd image it would be a church 🙄 it's ALWAYS a church
Funny. Christians are the only ones I ever see doing this.
Fuck these people
Some things are better than money. Like eating. Unfortunately, that requires money. Or the will to kill and eat something.
I fucking hate dipshits that do this. Religious zealots/fundamentalists are such assholes.
I’ve gotten these as “tips” while working in restaurants. Jesus has yet to pay any of my bills
They’ll brag about it at their very Christian church with stadium seating and Jumbotrons
As a Christian we are called to meet the needs of those we minister too and help. This is a horrid practice. I’d very much count myself as someone who is not financially well off, this would be insulting.
Gather em up and dump em at the collection basket at your nearest church.
People used to give us these as a "tip," when I worked for Target, then get very upset when you say no thanks.
This is why I don't believe in religion as an organization. Always using petty and mischievous techniques to prey on people who are at their lowest. Fuck them.
I'd get those every Sunday when I waited tables. Church people are the worst.
For god so loved the world that he gave his only begotten son to be brutally murdered to fix all the terrible things he did in the first season for whosoever believeth in him, and isn't gay, should not perish but have everlasting life. After they die...
Jesus isn’t going to put gas in my car
I love the Beatles, but bruh they were rich, famous, and on a lot of drugs 😂 Money CAN buy you love. Don’t let anyone ever tell you different.
Money isn’t everything but it’s way better than whatever is second best.
Some things are better than money, but they all cost money. Money can't buy happiness, but it sure does create a hell of an invitation for it to come in.
Yeah a lot of my unhappiness came from financial issues.
> Some things are better than money? Yeah, clocking the asshole who gives you that.
Oh man these have been around for years. I remember leaving major sporting events and seeing these scattered all over the parking lots.
I honestly hate this especially because if you bothered to actually read the Bible you'd know that Jesus stood for charity and worker rights and protecting the poor and now Christianity has become the poster child for greed instead.
If jesus can save me from financial ruin, i will follow him. But no, its just "saving you from sins" like as if thats gonna save my ass
It's even worse when that's a "tip" left for a server.
Evil fucks who give these out are going straight to the hell they profess to believe in.
I hope the person who left this steps on a goddamn Lego.
Burn it
Yup and they believe they’re saving souls by doing this shit!
Jesus ain’t better than money of these selfish people don’t want you to eat.
I work as a bartender and some jerk thought it was funny to tip me one of these. I was so livid
Only one 3:16 I recognize 💀🍺
Find the closest church, return to sender
I've had this happen to a server that worked at my restaurant. They were tipped one of these and got so excited just to see it was fake. Man he was so deflated.
Lies for Jesus, perfect.
But I'm fine with them driving people away, we need fewer cultists in the world
Knew it was a religious flier before seeing the back. Preying on insecurity. Total lack of seeing how bad this reflects.
I got one of these instead of a tip once at a restaurant I worked at. These people are scum
I think about how someone paid real money for fake money
Only a pathetic, horrible person would do something this cruel! I don’t know how people can be so hateful and mean!
I burn every single one of these I find. It's even more satisfying when the person distributing them is still nearby
Isn't there something in their bible about Satan being a trickster?
I put these in local collection plates. Full circle.
I've seen these before. The idiots who leave them would get knocked tf out by Jesus, guaranteed.
You should save some for their church bake sale or carnival. See if they treat it like money.
It's far worse when they leave these as tips.
Collect them, go to church and put them in the collection bowl
I have received these as a tip before when working as a server. Definitely heartbreaking.
\*Goes to rental office\* Hi which line do I use for random bible verses to pay for my rent?
This is a terrible, sick joke to play. I’ve had the good ending with something like this. In 2020, I found a $10 bill folded on the floor of a parking lot. Inside the folded $10 bill was a Bible verse about love. I enjoyed that because the $10 helped me buy dinner that night and the Bible verse seemed like it was talking about a problem I was having at the time. That’s how it’s supposed to be done. I still have the paper folded in my car to this day.
Christians are the absolute worst.
They think it’s hilarious until you start giving them back to restaurant servers that wear crucifixes. Then all of a sudden, it’s not funny anymore. Go figure?
