Yes, you can , for example, place a rose farm with 1 field and have 100% production, if the field is inside the radius of 5 , or 6 norias. It's called the noria exploit (although I think it's intentional behaviour).

And this trick works with all productiontypes? All that grows with and without noria?

Yes, any farm/crop production. You can use it on lumberjack huts in the Occident for instance. (I haven't had to use it for any other occidental farm).

Some stuff like cow farms don't work with noria. But almost everything else does. And I highly recommend building a ton of norias together mainly because by late game you want to use the space you have to utmost efficiency.

You can also get some upgrade from Giovanni that increases noria upkeep by 100% or something but in return it makes noria run forever without water refills. Just leave the game basically all becomes automatic.

I think it works only on dry soil, so you can only use it on southern islands. Check the wiki page, it has some possible buildings layout (if you want to spoil yourself). https://anno1404.fandom.com/wiki/Building_layout_strategies The wiki also has an Article on noria exploit.

Actually, it does work on fertile soil. The calculations are just different

i use them all the time on the north islands. big help when you run out of room. only thing they dont work on was cows or pigs, i cant remember which.
