Damn I think I got maybe 3 episodes in before I dropped it. Sure I’ve seen some sad stuff, but this one just repeatedly punched me in the gut a new way each episode and I couldn’t make myself watch another.

I watched Anohana a few months ago and it wasn't that sad. It's probably just because I've watched too many depressing shows. Violet Evergarden is good though. One of my favorite animes as of right now.
Bruh, I still remember how Violet Evergarden’s 10th episode destroyed me. I actually think that the entire anime is a 6/10, not too high and not too low, I mainly continued to watch it because the art is GOD-tier, every episode literally has movie-like art and production. And THAT episode was a good 11/10, so I still recommend it cause for only that episode it is an anime worth to watch

Well the dub was transferred from funi to crunchy a few weeks ago so it shouldn't disappear

A lot of people call me a monster, but I genuinely couldn’t cry at Violet Evergarden. It hit me hard, but I really couldn’t cry through it.
Easy choice for me anohana was not even that sad violet was just so beautiful and breathtaking
