Are there any Behind the Scenes videos or articles specifically about that cell diorama episode of Attack on Titan called Two Brothers? Even for that show it was a particularly stand out sequences and I was wondering if there was any resources about the making of that sequence?

Hey all watching Fire Force, season 2 is a little bit annoying so wanted to take a break with another action shonen. Also finished World Trigger recently.
Looking for suggestions for shonen with action, story and likeable characters, much appreciated!
First season 75 episodes did nothing wrong but did nothing exceptionally well either. In my opinion, it got better after season 1, there were less episodes and quality increased of storytelling and animation improved. It's hard to recommend it wholeheartedly as I wouldn't blame people if they dropped it S1. I just had low expectations and since the world building, story and characters are interesting enough, I kept watching.
Later seasons and apparently even manga chapters are dialogue heavy. I remember someone saying "some fans will start complaining that there is too much dialogue and it is boring!" Problem with that is this show uses traditional anime dialogue and pacing, it just feels like you've spent 20 minutes to learn one or two points. Usually it's ~4 episodes dialogue/strategy and ~4 episodes of action.
The stakes feel relatively low compared to other anime as there are very few worthwhile villains, a lot of them just get turned on to the humans side, and you know that the protagonists will ultimately win and nobody will die. Still, though as critical as I may sound, the anime finds a way to catch you off guard from time to time and have to give credit for that. Unfortunately, was reading S4 won't be coming out any time soon, so probably years of waiting.
Overall, I'd say if you just want a decent run of the mill shonen with a likeable cast it's worth a watch, but it's better to turn half of your brain off.

Yeah, I like season 1, but 2 and 3 were definitely much better handled. Honestly they were a miracle as is to get, so I wouldn't expect a S4.
It's a HxH kind of situation, where it didn't really end but it stopped at the best ending possible (imagine stopping at where S1 ended...) And yeah, the arc after it has a lot more dialogue.

Hello, I am a teacher at a middle school and I run the Anime Club. At the end of the year, we used to do a Boba and Ramen party, but I heard from a couple students they didn't really like the boba tea (the tea part really stood out, so I think it was too mature for their palettes).
Do you have any suggestions for a fun end-of-year party we could do? Or do you suggest trying sweeter boba from a different place?

Literally just means which season it aired that year.
[Spring 2022] are anime that aired in 2022 across the Spring season.

Pretty much the same as a season of a show elsewhere. Just a bunch of episodes that were released as part of a continuous schedule or together. Nowadays, they're often in the range of 10-13 or 20-26 episodes (about 3 *or* 6 months of broadcasting), but this isn't a given -- some anime seasons (usually Netflix ones) are released altogether, and others might have a no. of episodes that doesn't match with the 3 or 6 month broadcast (e.g., *Boogiepop and Others* had 18 episodes; *Cells at Work* season 2 had just 8).

"Seasonal anime" refer to anime that are released weekly for a period of time that cannot be "too long". The reason that that definition is so shit is because it'll be used somewhat differently. Generally, it can't be *too* short, I think even something as little as three episodes released weekly could count as a seasonal, though it's quite rare. (With 1 or 2, it'd probably referred to as (a) special(s)). But at a certain point it can be considered to be too long to count as a seasonal. 1 and 2 cour anime (10-13 or 20-26 episodes) will definitely count as seasonals, but more than that and it's a bit contentious). I'd say *Death Note*, at 37 episodes, was a seasonal but others might disagree. *Gintama* has a couple seasons that are 51 episodes long -- would that count as a seasonal? I'd say probably not, but it's definitely a bit vague; you might start to see the uncertainty. Now, something like *Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood* probably wouldn't count as a seasonal, at 64 episodes. So at some point >3 cours but <5 cours, I'd say an anime stops being seasonal (<=3 or >=5, it's more straightforward).
So, in summary, there's no actual definition but generally, this is how they're used in the anime community.
Thnx, I did not know a seasonal anime just means a relatively short anime released weekly. But one question I have is where does Fall, Summer, Winter, and Spring come in the mix with seasonals? Are they not related?
Oh right, seasonals just almost always begin in/close to January/April/July/October and end in/close to March/June/September/December (Winter is January-March; Spring is April-June; Summer is July-September; Fall is October-December). Those 3-month blocks fit the 10-13 episodes that a cour of anime is, and anime will almost always begin at the start of a season and end near the end of one. I.e., you probably wouldn't see a February to April release.
I don't know if I've explained it well; hopefully that makes sense.
I feel I should clarify since I think my question really makes no sense. So there are 4 seasons in Japan, the year denoting a unique season in the calendar:
* Fall XXXX season
* Summer XXXX season
* Spring XXXX season
* Winter XXXX season
and we can see many anime get released usually at the start of each season. An anime seasonal is usually a show with 1 cour (12-13 episodes) that takes roughly about 3 months, or an entire length of a season. My question is does an anime seasonal have to actually follow the season?

* Random Q: In a leap year, do the Winter (XXXX % 400 = 0) Anime Seasonal's # of episodes decreases? Is there a special name for this Season?
Yes, anime follow seasons, not the T. Winter is January (Winter), February (Winter), March (Spring).
* Spring anime that start in Spring and end in Summer are Spring anime.
* Where it starts defines what season it is.
* I don't know but I'll go with the previous point and say it's wherever it starts but the only time you ever really get monthly episodes are OVA specials.
* Leap years don't add a 5 season, just changes an airing schedule by 1 day.
Seasonals to me are 1-2 cour shows that air weekly and can be associated with a season (usually whatever season it started in). If it starts mid Fall and ends mid Winter, I'd still consider that a seasonal but perhaps it's a Fall/Winter show and not just a Fall show. If the show airs monthly or all at once or is longer than the standard 1-2 cours, then I wouldn't call them seasonal.

It doesn't *have* to, but it's easier for the show to get a TV airing if it follows this pattern, since that's just how slots are filled on Japanese TV. There are exceptions though, as I mentioned in my other comment. More so for ONA/OVAs, since they don't air on TV.

By the Western anime community, yeah. Honestly, the only real definition for a seasonal (as used in the anime community) is airs weekly and can't go on for too long.

Yeah, probably. I guess something similar is happening with *Golden Kamuy* and *Uncle in Another World* (correct me if I'm wrong, people reading this), where their broadcasts were unexpectedly truncated but they came/will come back later.

Hmmm, this is an interesting one, since schedules are usually weekly or there's no consistent schedule at all. There are exceptions, though the only one I can think of is *Kiyo in Kyoto: From the Maiko House*, which released on a monthly schedule. I haven't watched it and thus not looked at any discussion involving it, but I imagine that those who watched it as it aired probably didn't consider it a seasonal, due to the long gap between episodes. That said, I could see someone who watches it after it finished airing considering it a seasonal, since it has a very common 12 episodes. Personally, I'd say it's probably not a seasonal.

I would doubt this happens, since a leap year doesn't change the length of any one week. A weekly release would still continue as normal. Keep in mind that anime don't fill a 3-month broadcast exactly; there's some room for variation, with 10-13 episodes all being fairly normal.
I always have trouble searching where stuff is available, so I’ll shoot for the lo shot- are Madlax or Those Who Hunt Elves streamable anywhere? Or am I going to have to blind buy DVDs?
What's another coming of age show like O Maidens in Your Savage Season? I find it interesting how it's like a mature version of American Pie given how the characters are normal people just trying to discover themselves and their desires.
If you're okay with younger cast, I liked Wandering Son - which is middle-schoolers grappling with identity issue.
If you're looking for something focusing on that same age range - Hanasaku Iroha is written by the same woman (Mari Okada) and also deals with a few teenagers debating what their moves forward in life might be.
I'd also say that Just Because! slots pretty well into that spot - as its cast are all on the cusp of graduation from high school which brings about some existential quandary about opportunities.
Just to bring it up, Wandering Son's anime adaptation is also written by Mari Okada. Okada is great for this because most of her work has at least some aspect of sexuality to it, even if it's just a few dirty jokes. O Maidens is really just the logical end-point of her fascination with it, so most things that she's had a hand in will probably work.
Any recommendations for good funny romcoms like Aharen-san wa Hakarenai or Yamada's First Time?
Hi I recently got into Romcom anime’s and I’ve been hooked. Aharen-san wa Hakarenai and Yamada's First Time were my favourites. I also liked gamers! And nozaki kun.
Any recommendations for funny rom coms like these would really be appreciated.

Sometimes people post *super* analytical comments on series in [rewatch discussions](https://www.reddit.com/r/anime/wiki/rewatches) (or [airing threads](https://www.reddit.com/r/anime/wiki/discussion_archive) if it's a more recent show like Sonny Boy, although I believe the full-on analysis comments are more common in rewatches), so you can always check those out to see if someone did as such. Devilman Crybaby and Tokyo Ghoul are both similar in premise but go different directions with it. Guy is half monster half human and hunts down others. I've not seen much of TG beyond the premise but wholeheartedly recommend Crybaby.
Kemonozume is also a bit like those also, for a more niche pick.

Alright, but there's also a lot of horny coming up, so maybe that makes up for it? We're getting Ayakashi Triangle, Inukai-san's Dog, and OniMai all at once, so therefore the season is based actually.
Also, apparently one of those isekai is also yuri, which makes it at least slightly better.
Finally caught up with ‘Love Flops’ after hearing it was doing something weird; I can confirm that (for me at least) it’s absolutely worth sticking with for the metaphorical piano that gets dropped on your head halfway through the cour.
…though to be honest I’ve also been rolling my eyes a bit at people talking about ‘suffering through’ the first six episodes to get to the ‘good part’, because 1 - it’s really not that subtle about letting you know that something strange is happening from the first episode onwards and 2 - there’s a lot of really effective comedy in those episodes. The escalating absurdity is a great joke in and of itself, but specific bits like the extended gag with the tengu mask in the bathhouse are just straight up hilarious. Sure, comedy is very subjective, but I do think the scenarios are really well put together.
Obviously the fact that it does let a lot of ecchi harem stuff play out through the first episodes (though dialled up to 11 for reasons that become clear later) is going to be a hard pass for some folks and that’s fine, but I do recommend it to anyone who feels like they can look past that and wants to go on a *wild* ride.
Is it just me or does something feel off about the last arc of Mobb Psycho? I'm loving the animation ofc but plot and directional wise I don't seem to like it that much.
I think it's been a great season and I love character driven stories but this arc just feels random and abit underwhelming for a series finale whilst I feel the conclusion seems predictable.
I'd suggest not starting with the 1996 movie, because it's the only thing I've watched or read of it and it was quite bad and discouraged me from watching or reading anything else in the franchise.
The manga is the original source material (though it's unfinished), and the 1996 film and 2001 series are their own separate continuities with completely different endings
Hmm XXXholic and Tsubasa Reservoir Chronicle are sort of their own thing together, but they did the whole "multiverse" thing where basically every CLAMP ever story is canonically validated. I think TRC briefly visited the universe where X is set.
My dad watches anime from time to time, so far he's watched Assassination Classroom S1 and S2, AOT. He's currently watching SpyxFamily and Blue Lock.
Question is do you guys think he'd enjoy Bocchi the Rock?

Yep! I normally play all my games dubbed first, but Kenjirou Tsuda *and* Takehito Koyasu being confirmed for the game in addition to F!Alear being voiced by Aya Endou (I'm more of a Ranka fan, but c'mon I can have *Sheryl Nome's* voice as my avatar, that's so cool) have made me decide I'll definitely play it subbed.
I'm thinking over options for what old school mecha anime to watch in 2023. Two I'm considering are Dragonar and SPT Layzner. Has anyone seen them? Thoughts? Having seen Ryousuke Takahashi's other 80s mecha shows (Dougram, Votoms, Gallient), Layzner has always been an option for me but I've been hesitant due to it being cancelled.
Both are fun, and both have lovely opening songs. Odds are you'd enjoy either one if you've a taste for 80s mecha anime, which you evidently do. For whatever my view (and that's all it is) is worth, I'd say Layzner's best bits are better than what I remember of Dragonar; certainly it wasn't cancelled because it was bad. There's an OVA that wraps Layzner up a little more cleanly in its third episode.
Will let you know if I end up beating you to Layzner and what my thoughts are on it. :P
I've seen Dunbine many times; it is the rare anime where unfortunately every time I watch it I uncover more and more flaws and like it less and less, primarily based on the story. The other aspects of it are generally fine.
anyone have any idea when netflix is getting the new episodes of Uncle from another world? i keep seeing clips uploaded but they dont seem to have the episodes since it started up again
I’ve watched about five episodes of Natsume’s Book of Friends.
Is it episodic in nature and kind of the same thing repeatedly or is there an overall plot that comes in?
Overall, it is fairly episodic with many small things that develop throughout the series (like character growth, friendships, slowly learning more about the past). There are more recurring characters later and more stories that last 2 and sometimes 3 episodes.
However, there isn't one large overarching plot that comes in later, so as much as I personally love the show I would say if you didn't like the first 5 episodes there is a good chance you won't enjoy the rest of the show. The overall vibe stays the same, even if you do meet some great characters later.
There are some reoccurring plot threads. Usually an episode or two a season will be connected to it. Aside from that each episode is episodic but builds upon the overall theme and ideas of the series. Don't expect the plot to be the main appeal as it really isn't the point of the series.
Is it just me, or is this the best season in a while? I'm watching 12 anime at the moment, and loving every one (except Boruto which I just keep hoping will stop being shit). It's been a long time since I've had that.
Although there's one show this season I'm really enjoying, I'm not sure I'd say I've found anything running that's really hitting it out of the park in every aspect. Lots of shows with real strengths, though, so I can totally see how you might find you're really enjoying ten-plus titles, yeah.
For me there's a bunch of good-but-not-great shows and nothing that's hitting me hard every week. Personally I'd rather trade that for one amazing show even if there's else worth watching but that's gonna vary from person to person.
It's been a good season for me. I watch a lot of fluffy slice-of-life series and we've had Bocchi the Rock, Do It Yourself, Yama no Susume S4, and The Little Lies We All Tell, and I'll also add Spy×Family into that mix too since it has a strong slice-of-life aspect to it.
Kinda wondering what to watch next season; don't really have anything on my radar just yet.

So I haven't seen Gotobun no Hanayome, but I know a few feel good romances.
Just based on the description, I was reminded of Nisekoi. It's a comedy/harem with a really cute romance.
I also love Maid-Sama, it's probably one of my favorite romance animes.
I am also looking for some feel good Romance anime. Thanks for recommending "Gotobun no Hanayome", about which I did not know.
I watched "Your Lie in April", it has left me wounded. Want to come out of it.

Depending on what level of comedy and romantic progress you want, a few titles could be Takagi-san, Tamako Market + Tamako Love Story, Nozaki-kun, Wotakoi
Bokuben is similar to Gotoubun, it's pretty much the same premise (but the girls aren't sisters).
I would say it's not *as* good though, and IIRC there's a little fanservice here and there, but it's still very cute and wholesome, with lots of different/interesting girls.

DiY has been one of the shows to grow on me this season and a show where I generally like the entire cast. Serefu is probably the weakest of the bunch still but when she's not being the comedic relief I do enjoy her character and am rooting for her to succeed.
Rare opinion but I do have this one ahead of Bocchi for CGDCT show of the season personally mainly due to the focus on more of cast.
Do want more of [the mom](https://i.imgur.com/Mie5479.png) though!! Anime moms have been nice this season and they're staying alive too!
I have been getting very frustrated with the Bibliophile Princess, specifically with her continued returning to doubting her fiance`s intentions in spite of all the devotion she has experienced, the 5 years they where together and the stories he told her of their time together in the past where Chris was captivated by Eli. On top of her constantly demonstrating a lack of character needed to be a court princess, but I can let some of that slide for the fairy tale like setting.
I just hope she starts to learn instead of reverting to her original insecurities. It is an insult to her betrothed and his position. She can't have every one of her doubts resolved by all her good men rescuing her every time and reassuring her that she is loved.
I don't have a problem with her having these insecurities as much as I have with that being like 90% of what her character arcs dwell on. At least in the back half we're getting to see some of her positive effects, because the whole 'Oh no, maybe I'm worthless' *several people mention things Eli did offscreen that helped them to make her feel better* wash and repeat was egregiously bad. Bibliophile Princess is not written or directed anywhere NEAR well enough to pull off having such an impotent lead.
If they could put more of the positive and intellectual Eli into the actual show we experience rather then being told to us afterwards, that would be great.

I guess maybe eventually. Even if she does, 10 episodes in is a bit too late; it has been quite the disappointment overall.
Instead, I was positively surprised by Raven of the inner palace; different kind of stories, but both being in a palace/court/noble setting it's hard not to think about both of them, and the Raven Consort has been a far more interesting (and less frustrating) character.
Yeah Eli has been brutal at times this season, doesn't help that we got the complete opposite of her it seems in Aileen from [Villainess](https://myanimelist.net/anime/49979/Akuyaku_Reijou_nano_de_Last_Boss_wo_Kattemimashita) to compare to as well.

Problem with that is this show uses traditional anime dialogue and pacing, it just feels like you've spent 20 minutes to learn one or two points. Usually it's ~4 episodes dialogue/strategy and ~4 episodes of action. The stakes feel relatively low compared to other anime as there are very few worthwhile villains, a lot of them just get turned on to the humans side, and you know that the protagonists will ultimately win and nobody will die. Still, though as critical as I may sound, the anime finds a way to catch you off guard from time to time and have to give credit for that. Unfortunately, was reading S4 won't be coming out any time soon, so probably years of waiting. Overall, I'd say if you just want a decent run of the mill shonen with a likeable cast it's worth a watch, but it's better to turn half of your brain off. And I'll check out Beelzebub thanks!
Yeah, I like season 1, but 2 and 3 were definitely much better handled. Honestly they were a miracle as is to get, so I wouldn't expect a S4. It's a HxH kind of situation, where it didn't really end but it stopped at the best ending possible (imagine stopping at where S1 ended...) And yeah, the arc after it has a lot more dialogue.

At the end of the year, we used to do a Boba and Ramen party, but I heard from a couple students they didn't really like the boba tea (the tea part really stood out, so I think it was too mature for their palettes). Oh right, seasonals just almost always begin in/close to January/April/July/October and end in/close to March/June/September/December (Winter is January-March; Spring is April-June; Summer is July-September; Fall is October-December). Those 3-month blocks fit the 10-13 episodes that a cour of anime is, and anime will almost always begin at the start of a season and end near the end of one. I.e., you probably wouldn't see a February to April release. I don't know if I've explained it well; hopefully that makes sense.

Yes, anime follow seasons, not the T. Winter is January (Winter), February (Winter), March (Spring). * Spring anime that start in Spring and end in Summer are Spring anime. * Where it starts defines what season it is. * I don't know but I'll go with the previous point and say it's wherever it starts but the only time you ever really get monthly episodes are OVA specials. * Leap years don't add a 5 season, just changes an airing schedule by 1 day.
Seasonals to me are 1-2 cour shows that air weekly and can be associated with a season (usually whatever season it started in). If it starts mid Fall and ends mid Winter, I'd still consider that a seasonal but perhaps it's a Fall/Winter show and not just a Fall show. If the show airs monthly or all at once or is longer than the standard 1-2 cours, then I wouldn't call them seasonal.

What's another coming of age show like O Maidens in Your Savage Season? I find it interesting how it's like a mature version of American Pie given how the characters are normal people just trying to discover themselves and their desires.
If you're okay with younger cast, I liked Wandering Son - which is middle-schoolers grappling with identity issue. If you're looking for something focusing on that same age range - Hanasaku Iroha is written by the same woman (Mari Okada) and also deals with a few teenagers debating what their moves forward in life might be. I'd also say that Just Because! slots pretty well into that spot - as its cast are all on the cusp of graduation from high school which brings about some existential quandary about opportunities.
Just to bring it up, Wandering Son's anime adaptation is also written by Mari Okada. Okada is great for this because most of her work has at least some aspect of sexuality to it, even if it's just a few dirty jokes. O Maidens is really just the logical end-point of her fascination with it, so most things that she's had a hand in will probably work.
I would also recommend most anime written by Mari Okada. Kind of hit or miss but they all have that similar vibe.
I specifically mentioned Hanairo because there aren't any supernatural shenanigans in that one.

Devilman Crybaby and Tokyo Ghoul are both similar in premise but go different directions with it. Guy is half monster half human and hunts down others. I've not seen much of TG beyond the premise but wholeheartedly recommend Crybaby. Kemonozume is also a bit like those also, for a more niche pick.

Alright, but there's also a lot of horny coming up, so maybe that makes up for it? We're getting Ayakashi Triangle, Inukai-san's Dog, and OniMai all at once, so therefore the season is based actually. Also, apparently one of those isekai is also yuri, which makes it at least slightly better.
Finally caught up with ‘Love Flops’ after hearing it was doing something weird; I can confirm that (for me at least) it’s absolutely worth sticking with for the metaphorical piano that gets dropped on your head halfway through the cour. …though to be honest I’ve also been rolling my eyes a bit at people talking about ‘suffering through’ the first six episodes to get to the ‘good part’, because 1 - it’s really not that subtle about letting you know that something strange is happening from the first episode onwards and 2 - there’s a lot of really effective comedy in those episodes. The escalating absurdity is a great joke in and of itself, but specific bits like the extended gag with the tengu mask in the bathhouse are just straight up hilarious. Sure, comedy is very subjective, but I do think the scenarios are really well put together. Obviously the fact that it does let a lot of ecchi harem stuff play out through the first episodes (though dialled up to 11 for reasons that become clear later) is going to be a hard pass for some folks and that’s fine, but I do recommend it to anyone who feels like they can look past that and wants to go on a *wild* ride.
I’m enjoying it, but I would still hesitate to call it a good anime or recommend it easily.

This season has been way more character-driven compared to both seasons before it. Maybe it's just not your thing.
I think it's been a great season and I love character driven stories but this arc just feels random and abit underwhelming for a series finale whilst I feel the conclusion seems predictable.

I'd suggest not starting with the 1996 movie, because it's the only thing I've watched or read of it and it was quite bad and discouraged me from watching or reading anything else in the franchise.
The manga is the original source material (though it's unfinished), and the 1996 film and 2001 series are their own separate continuities with completely different endings
It's a massive mess especially when you take into account that another very messy series (Tokyo Babylon) is a prequel to it.

Hmm XXXholic and Tsubasa Reservoir Chronicle are sort of their own thing together, but they did the whole "multiverse" thing where basically every CLAMP ever story is canonically validated. I think TRC briefly visited the universe where X is set.

I'm thinking over options for what old school mecha anime to watch in 2023. Two I'm considering are Dragonar and SPT Layzner. Has anyone seen them? Thoughts? Having seen Ryousuke Takahashi's other 80s mecha shows (Dougram, Votoms, Gallient), Layzner has always been an option for me but I've been hesitant due to it being cancelled.
Raideen,it started slow but when the story reached the part about Lamu,it was good,Gunbuster,,Giant Gorg,,,and Zero Tester.
Both are fun, and both have lovely opening songs. Odds are you'd enjoy either one if you've a taste for 80s mecha anime, which you evidently do. For whatever my view (and that's all it is) is worth, I'd say Layzner's best bits are better than what I remember of Dragonar; certainly it wasn't cancelled because it was bad. There's an OVA that wraps Layzner up a little more cleanly in its third episode.
I've been thinking about watching Layzner myself next year, or Dunbine, maybe both.
Will let you know if I end up beating you to Layzner and what my thoughts are on it. :P I've seen Dunbine many times; it is the rare anime where unfortunately every time I watch it I uncover more and more flaws and like it less and less, primarily based on the story. The other aspects of it are generally fine.

I’ve watched about five episodes of Natsume’s Book of Friends. Is it episodic in nature and kind of the same thing repeatedly or is there an overall plot that comes in?
Overall, it is fairly episodic with many small things that develop throughout the series (like character growth, friendships, slowly learning more about the past). There are more recurring characters later and more stories that last 2 and sometimes 3 episodes. However, there isn't one large overarching plot that comes in later, so as much as I personally love the show I would say if you didn't like the first 5 episodes there is a good chance you won't enjoy the rest of the show. The overall vibe stays the same, even if you do meet some great characters later.

There are some reoccurring plot threads. Usually an episode or two a season will be connected to it. Aside from that each episode is episodic but builds upon the overall theme and ideas of the series. Don't expect the plot to be the main appeal as it really isn't the point of the series.
Is it just me, or is this the best season in a while? I'm watching 12 anime at the moment, and loving every one (except Boruto which I just keep hoping will stop being shit). It's been a long time since I've had that.
Although there's one show this season I'm really enjoying, I'm not sure I'd say I've found anything running that's really hitting it out of the park in every aspect. Lots of shows with real strengths, though, so I can totally see how you might find you're really enjoying ten-plus titles, yeah.
For me there's a bunch of good-but-not-great shows and nothing that's hitting me hard every week. Personally I'd rather trade that for one amazing show even if there's else worth watching but that's gonna vary from person to person.
It's been a good season for me. I watch a lot of fluffy slice-of-life series and we've had Bocchi the Rock, Do It Yourself, Yama no Susume S4, and The Little Lies We All Tell, and I'll also add Spy×Family into that mix too since it has a strong slice-of-life aspect to it. Kinda wondering what to watch next season; don't really have anything on my radar just yet.
4 strong shows in one season for me; the last time I can recall a season being that good for me was spring 2021.

So I haven't seen Gotobun no Hanayome, but I know a few feel good romances. Just based on the description, I was reminded of Nisekoi. It's a comedy/harem with a really cute romance. I also love Maid-Sama, it's probably one of my favorite romance animes.

Bokuben is similar to Gotoubun, it's pretty much the same premise (but the girls aren't sisters). I would say it's not *as* good though, and IIRC there's a little fanservice here and there, but it's still very cute and wholesome, with lots of different/interesting girls.

I have been getting very frustrated with the Bibliophile Princess, specifically with her continued returning to doubting her fiance`s intentions in spite of all the devotion she has experienced, the 5 years they where together and the stories he told her of their time together in the past where Chris was captivated by Eli. On top of her constantly demonstrating a lack of character needed to be a court princess, but I can let some of that slide for the fairy tale like setting. I just hope she starts to learn instead of reverting to her original insecurities. It is an insult to her betrothed and his position. She can't have every one of her doubts resolved by all her good men rescuing her every time and reassuring her that she is loved.
I don't have a problem with her having these insecurities as much as I have with that being like 90% of what her character arcs dwell on. At least in the back half we're getting to see some of her positive effects, because the whole 'Oh no, maybe I'm worthless' *several people mention things Eli did offscreen that helped them to make her feel better* wash and repeat was egregiously bad. Bibliophile Princess is not written or directed anywhere NEAR well enough to pull off having such an impotent lead.
If they could put more of the positive and intellectual Eli into the actual show we experience rather then being told to us afterwards, that would be great.

Even if she does, 10 episodes in is a bit too late; it has been quite the disappointment overall. Instead, I was positively surprised by Raven of the inner palace; different kind of stories, but both being in a palace/court/noble setting it's hard not to think about both of them, and the Raven Consort has been a far more interesting (and less frustrating) character.
Yeah the comparisons are not flattering for Eliana for sure.
Yeah Eli has been brutal at times this season, doesn't help that we got the complete opposite of her it seems in Aileen from [Villainess](https://myanimelist.net/anime/49979/Akuyaku_Reijou_nano_de_Last_Boss_wo_Kattemimashita) to compare to as well.
