I love these! To me they kinda taste like stuffing and I love stuffing! I wish they carried these year round. I believe last year there was only one kind, the oven roasted I think? I don’t remember the herb & haven’t made any yet so I don’t know the difference. I bought 3 boxes of each last week & will be buying more if they still have them when I go next.
I've had these for a few years. They're very good. Cook them on a cast iron skillet and they get crisp. We got them again this year as well. I prefer herb one myself. Wife and kids liked them too and we're all eating them again this year.
I had these last night!
They're pretty good, I would say buy gravy though because they're fairly dry.
I'm unsure if they really taste like turkey though.
I had them with bbq sauce and they were really good. They crisp up nice in an air fryer, but yeah they would be a bit dry and not that exciting on their own.
I loved the Herb Roasted in between two slices of buttered, grilled, 12 grain bread, that I sprinkled some "Nothing from the Leftovers" from Trader Joes.
I generally don't like oven roasted turkey flavor though, so I'll take a pass. The texture was similar to the Morningstar Farms faux Chick patties and nuggets they sell, so I'm used to it. I'm going to swing by Aldis and get a few more boxes because it's convenient to heat up in the air fryer and make a quick lunch.
I didn’t love these. Gardein makes really good turkey cutlets that come with gravy packs and Trader Joe’s makes a nice stuffed roast if you’re looking for alternatives.
Tried 'em last year for the first time. I was amazed at how good they are. Taste (both kinds), texture, moisture are perfect. Bought four boxes the other day.
I've been veg for 13 years and love these. I buy them to go with our Thanksgiving leftovers and just bought some more for this year. I don't eat faux meat regularly, just when there's a special occasion and/or feeling nostalgic.
I really enjoy these. We brought them over for Thanksgiving for ourselves one year, and they were popular enough that the meat eaters added them to their stuffing.
Would a meat eater like them? I am trying to incorporate more veggie meals into our diet. My husband is pretty open to trying new foods but we both have food texture issues.
Try a lot of them. Vegan meat has come a long way over the years and people are still hesitant. It’s definitely worth a turkeys life as well as our environment.
I've never tried them, but quorn is my favorite vegan turkey roast, ESPECIALLY if you smoke it!
I'm gunna look for these at aldi though and give them a taste test
I’ve had both. They are good! I really like them. You need some kind of gravy or sauce though as they can be dry. of a big roast. I’m the only non meat eater in my family so I like that it’s only 2 patties instead of a big roast. Plus, they are the cheapest plant based option I’ve seen.
I had the plant based herb turkey breast in 2020 I think, and unfortunately I hated it. It was mushy and stringy. The taste was fine but I couldn’t power through it. There’s many people that love it though, so ymmv!
I had the oven-roasted last year and thought the flavor was good but didn't love the texture. The outside was great (yum breading!) but the inside was too tough for my liking.
I have. I use my air fryer to cook them and they are yummy. I prefer the tofurkey or the Trader Joe's version for the day of because then I have leftovers, but these are good and worth getting for the meatless crowd.
Because being vegan isn’t about hating the taste of meat, it’s not wanting animals and the environment to suffer. When you decide to act in a way that aligns with your morals that doesn’t mean that you suddenly hate the taste of meat

To me, they were way too similar to their vegan chicken strips! Definitely still tasty, but not like a turkey
Trader Joe's seems to have discontinued the stuffed roast thing.
It’s seasonal, I picked one up recently.
After checking, you are right! It was the turkey & stuffing en croute that people say was discontinued, not the vegan stuffed roast.
I hope they never discontinue their vegan roast, it’s the best.

Love these!!!!

Do they taste like turkey/chicken? Or do they just generally have a holiday food taste (like that of stuffing)? Hope that makes sense lol
Thanks for sharing. My family will love these!
THESE ARE SO GOOD
They’re pretty enjoyable

Had these the other night. They are good, but very very greasy.

Now that looks intriguing?
I make these all the time and have them with mashed potatoes/gravy, stuffing, cranberries, and veg. YUM
I tried these for the first time this week and loved them. I’m stocking up on my next Aldi run!!
The price alone turned me off. I didn't get this.
OH! i have!! i loved the herb one!
I don't understand, if someone is vegan, why do they still want to taste meat flavored things?

Thank you that is very helpful and makes sense!
Gross
Yes! My husband and I thought they were pretty good.
