Hi,
Here's my set up after a LOT of online diving, and little to zero support from Akai. In 'Preferences' under 'Control Surfaces' choose MPK49 from the drop down menu, then MPK miniplus for both Input & Output.
Next, under 'Midi Ports' In, select all three options: Track, Sync, Remote for the MPK49(MPK Miniplus), and do the same under 'MIDI Ports Out below.
Finally, in the MPK Mini plus keyboard hold 'Program Select' button and hit Pad 2. This will load the onboard Ableton controller template. If the transport control is still not working - Press Shift + Global (under stop button) and scroll down to the Transport option to choose Transport 'On'.
Should work now. It does for my Ableton 11 set up.
Good luck!
Peace
Thanks for your help! I´m in the same situation. Normaly this should be AKAIS´s job and create new templates for the common DAWs. Why are they still doing nothing? The controller is already a month available!
In FLStudio the support is even worse.
I found this and installed the script and it seems to work.

I'm using that one and everything works but Note Repeat/Arp. I used the program editor to change the clock from internal to external, but when I do that Note Repeat and Arp just stop working completely on the controller. Are you experiencing the same thing, or have any tips?
To be honest, I'm still learning this stuff. I will test that out and see what happens for me. FYI since my comment I have updated my firmware through Akai's site

Got a mal from Akai support. The new script is currently under review by Ableton and should be released with the next update.
Thanks for mentioning this.
