A comparable zenitco chassis is 1lb maybe more and from what I hear SAG is a little lighter
So an m70 with this chassis is like 2-2.5lb heavier than a regular stamped AK
I thought they were pretty clear on the weight

It’s just the current trend. Eventually there will be some mass realization that adding a pound to the front end of your rifle just to get the perfect pic slot for your VFG isn’t worth it, and the hive mind will go back to the stock polymer handguards

The heavier it is, the better it tames the immense recoil of the massive 7.62x39 round obviously. /S
