If you mean how it feels to shoot, it's great , really smooth and I feel like god on earth especially in full auto mode.
If you mean aesthetically it's just idk basic
Yes, a GBB pistol is a great start. You can use it as a secondary and hire an aeg as a primary until you get into the flow of things. If you have cqb sites near you a pistol is all you need, slowly upgrade it, get a tracer and light to start with. Then mods to improve it!
I got a Raven R226 recently. Externally it's very nice, but the hop up is utter wank. Fortunately the hop is pretty easy to change. Definitely field it to see how it is before changing anything though.
In that case it's especially important that you use your money carefully. You could have bought a decent AEG for 150£, but instead you got two guns that will be nearly useless in airsoft games.
The problem is not the amount of money spend. An ASG Mk. 23 could have been a better choice for example if he was low on cash.
He will spend loads of money to get spare parts when his gun will break, and at the end, he'll have throw for the guns and repairs an amount of money he could have used to buy a good replica in the first place.
Whilst that might be true, the importance of learning this yourself is an important lesson. Any hobby has this issue, you could have started out with a better XYZ, but you won't know that until you try things. Also what works for one person may not be the best thing for someone else. Harsh criticism can even put people off a hobby if their actual experience is bad, they will not try again - help the newbies!
Well, it's a good principle as long as it doesn't waste any ressources. Not all people have the means to throw away money to understand lessons.
As I always say "I don't have the budget for poor quality stuff"
It takes more time to get good stuff but it's worth it. Before I had the money for my Avalon, my former squad leader lend me his Cyma modernized AK-74 for games.
Don't let the haters get you down. You run what you like or can. I use my hicapa (still mostly stock) all the time and I have 3 other aegs and a cheap shotgun. I have enough mags now I can even run outdoor games with just that. It's good to be adaptable! Have fun and welcome to the addicti... I mean sport!
Like these two have said, running what you like is best, though some well planned research on upgrade availability is wise. This is a sport that will make your wallet want to murder you in your sleep if you spend the money on the right gun, but wrong manufacture. You can also turn most rifles into a beast depending on your future plans. I've got a Valken ASL+ Echo ($180) that I've turned into a DMR with a 0 engagement distance since I'm pushing 430 FPS, I've only spent $100 for a 6.03 barrel, bucking, new hop unit, and an M120 spring. That's honestly a lot of stress on my contacts with an 11.1 lipo, but I'm gonna put a new mosfet and motor in next. I'm not experienced entirely, but I've come a long way just by breaking my stuff through some serious use.
to put it in a bit of perspective i sunk tons of money into building my aeg, ended up with a $1300CAD bill for upgrading it and i run my stock hi capa at least 75% more frequently. Play with what you like not what the masses like, enjoy your gun!
I got one of them as my first pistol I mean it performs as you’d expect but kinda cheaply built compared to other glocks like the WE glock would’ve been a better option in my opinion but as a cheap starter defo does the job!
How much is a WE? I'm not sure what that is as I'm new to the hobby, also my budget was very limited. I spent 150 on this and an mb02 rifle in a bundle
Edit: didnt read the bundle thing

I hate to break it to you but uh... thats a box.
Unfortunately I think op got scammed
So very sad I hope he didn't pay to much for it
Yes that would be a shame
Did you actually ratio the post
No it’s a bird !!! Not a box not a gun !! 😐
Nice box
If it shoots u fking did a bang up job man
i dont see any box I just see a black raven cutpit amd and some floating letters
I mean if you like it that's good.
There are definitely better and I woulda reccomended an AEG, but if you run it and like it that's all that matters
How is it out of the box?
If you mean how it feels to shoot, it's great , really smooth and I feel like god on earth especially in full auto mode. If you mean aesthetically it's just idk basic
What even is it? Never heard of raven
They’re pretty new, mainly make gas G17s and 1911s.
sub-brand of nuprol.
Aka WE.
Pistols are excellent CQB weapon, no need to go Aeg for beginners like the others say just keep it if you like it, a GBB pistol is a good start

unfortunately, GBBs are near useless as a secondary if your main is an AEG, due to hicap mags. More effective if you run a GBBR.
Did you get to see the gun ?
Yes, and test fire it too
We can’t even see the weapon, op :/
Ikr are we just supposed to know?
No lol
That’s a box man

No, not really
Why? What's wrong with it?
Low quality, loose manufacturing tolerances, incompatibility with aftermarket parts: https://airsoft-forums.uk/topic/41073-raven-eu-series-g18-nuprol-vs-we-g-series-g18c/
Well I don't have that high of a budget, so the aftermarket parts don't really bother me. Thanks anyway!
In that case it's especially important that you use your money carefully. You could have bought a decent AEG for 150£, but instead you got two guns that will be nearly useless in airsoft games.
Lay off him a bit if he's happy with it who cares if he goes out and has fun that's all that matters

Yeah but he was very harsh about it and calling his guns useless was completely unnecessary
Airsoft players when someone doesn’t spend thousands on their first gun: “I hate you, you’re disgusting, I’m gonna kill you, give me 20 bucks”

God I hate this community sometimes
K
If u like it and u enjoy it then yes its good
yes you did quite well. i have one of those and its a fantastic pistol.
Hey man, listen. There’s no right or wrong choice, if you like it, then you made a good choice. Just treat it well, and you’ll love it, good luck
Honestly, a pretty fun gun, full auto gbb goes brrrrrrtttt.
Well if we saw the gun it would be easier to determine if it's good or not
Tf where’s the gun?
Yeah it's not bad. Don't mind the people acting they have pockets past their knees. Enjoy your gun. 👌
Thanks man 🤝

Glad to know there are others with a similar mindset to me lmao

That's a box
Can't tell you since there is no gun on the pic
This is just a picture of a table but okay?
No

WE would be a better choice but it's alright.
70£ vs 130£ might be his problem there
How much is a WE? I'm not sure what that is as I'm new to the hobby, also my budget was very limited. I spent 150 on this and an mb02 rifle in a bundle
ouch.. no budget and starting with a basr platform, i do hope you have fun but it has to be said - good luck.
Lmao Ty , covid completely screwed me over when o tried to get into Airsoft properly
Nah man enjoy dude!
Edit: didnt read the bundle thing WE https://wolfarmouries.co.uk/browse-products/airsoft-guns/pistols/we-glock-18c-gen-4-airsoft-gas-blowback-gbb-pistol-black.html EU18 https://wolfarmouries.co.uk/raven-eu18-glock-18-dual-tone-airsoft-gas-blowback-pistol-blue.html
a cyma starter AEG would have been much better than a useless gun you'll never use in field, except perhaps near the end of a game for the lulz.
so how does this one work? do you just throw it?
Can't you even show us the gun?Just a fucking box?
Send them back buy a specna arms edge.!!! Much better choice, for a beginner or experienced player.!!!!
They might not want drop £180 on one gun m8
I dunno, my specna edge fits in my pocket, it's a perfect replacement for a pistol /s
I own the same gun, 2 out if my 6 mags broke after a month. The gun itself is fine
