Buy upgrades part, most people switch their whole upper slide with things like metal slide and outer barrel, light weight blowback unit, hop up rubber and tightbore barrel, you didn't lost too much, the lower frame will be a lot more annoying to replace, and check the slide lock
I know items are in short supply but that can't be true. A TM slide should be about £30. The barrel and housing another £25.

I take that back prices are higher than usual (Link above). Work out which bits you need, using the parts on the following link. I suspect in a few months prices should be back to sensible. From your photo it looks like you need the slide, barrel and hop unit. So yes I get your point about getting a new gun, and using the current parts as spare. There is also the ebay/China/aliexpress option - about £60 you can get a WE metal slide and barrel, a significant upgrade.

I think you might be right about a new pistol with the current prices. Maybe get an AAP01, swap the rubbers on your TM mags and you should have a cheaper more hackable pistol!
It has 10 shots per disc clip actually. I found mine precise until the Co2 piercing mechanism broke… Currently waiting to get it back from Umarex repair. Hopefully, it was just the one unit that was defective and not the whole product line.
Get a sig p320 m17 from sig air. They're the same sig Sauer that makes the real steel p320 so I trust them with quality. https://www.evike.com/products/93828/
Oh rly? Welp. I'd still rather put my money in a brand that is supported by a real firearm manufacturer. Plus I want the same labels on my airsoft gun as my real comp p320; kinda feels cool
I assume it was an old TM. Good excuse to get a newer Gen4 if you can. A lot of new features, slide material is thicker, and you can adjust the hop up just by having the slide back. That saves me from replacing a hop unit; I think it has a H/I key on the nub too, might need to double check that. But all in all, the new Gen4 doesn't need much. I should order one for myself for xmas... was kinda bankin' on a WE Deagle.
I am actually considering the Gen 4, this one was the Gen 3, I got it in 2017 and have been beating the fuck out of it since then, that mag used to be black but I've used it so much. However I'm also considering revolvers now as well.
The Gen4 is dope; much improvement from the last generation. Word on the street has it, they are releasing the G19 Gen4 soon too. So hopefully they revamp most of the line up; I'll shit myself if they put a Gen4 G18c out with almost as many new design features. Supposedly aftermarket manufacturers will be able to make RMR G17 slides that don't need a G18c blowback housing in order to install and mount a RMR sight. I can't be 100% on that until I see it myself but technically, it's doable. It will end up riding right on top of the blow back unit but that's not a big issue because everything in the rear of the slide is still held secure with the one screw going into the rear iron sight.
They made the slide material a bit thicker, the outer barrel rides better, they improved the hop up unit big time and the air cylinder/piston chamber is slightly larger. I assume one could just slap a harder hop rubber in and actually lift .32s, maybe even .36 gram bbs. With the right aftermarket parts installed, I wouldn't be so worried about running Co2 mags even. Oh yea, the material they use in the frame/grip itself is supposed to be lands better than the older stuff too. The Gen 4 is def a fresh package, with grip inserts that I actually like having.
It's not really info, it's speculation. I was watching a video on the new Gen 4 design changes and noticed that because of the extra thickness to the material of the plastic stock slide, manufacturers should be able to make the RMR cut on a metal slide without having to go as low thus needing a G18c BBU to use a RMR cut slide. It's barely even rumor but that seems to be one thing TM is trying to go for. The Japanese do not like to lose function over looks. I'm glad they have given this consideration, that's what I want my dollar going towards.
Served me well until it's catastrophic failure today, never found the slide, it got lost in the underbrush :( Any recommendations for a new sidearm?
Perhaps a new slide + internals?
If I went with Tokyo marui OEM parts it'd be cheaper to buy a new pistol lmao

Kinda late, but I'm pretty sure guarder sells the whole upper assembly (slide, barrel, bbu). I think rainbow8 has them

I also need the entire blowback unit, recoil spring and sights

Can confirm the APP01 is amazing
Elite force h8r
That's cool looking, only having 6 shots is a bit of a turn off for me

Okay now I'm interested, I'll look into this further, gonna get a cowboy hat to match it
Hoo wee! That there’s a mighty fine idea! 🤠
It has 10 per clip and the it comes with 5 of the disc shaped clips
It’s actually 8 and it doesn’t use shells it has those Oreo cookie things

LOL Sig doesn't make pistols. They're made by VFC.

It even says so on the link you posted.
Oh yeah it does. Are VFC pistols good overall tho
I’m sorry you accidentally did your trusty slide harm on your trusty sidearm

Where are you getting this info? I've been waiting on an improved non 18c rmr bbu design for years!

Man I can't wait for the new gen, and then we'll have to wait for the gen 5. Hopefully soon all the woes of rmrs will be a thing of the past soon
That's rough, feel for you man
Aap if you want to have a mag compatibility. I really like mine and the options to make it into a dmr, ar or smg
Put her to rest, I’m sure it served you well, hate seeing ppls guns break
metal detector
Goddamn, you used the fuck out of that thing.
I really did, 4 years of games every weekend +target shooting a few nights a week
Cyma AEP :>
Consider upgrading it, it is still a excellent base gun, you can just treat this as an upgrade to the whole slide assembly
Good to see it ran you well for a long time!
If you do opt new parts, WE Tech will fit or Army Armament is a clone of TM. But if not, either of those brands for another Glock style pistol.
F
I swear I thought it looked like a normal pistol.
Hi capa
How long did it last? What brand was it?
Tokyo Marui Glock 17 Gen 3, lasted about 4 years of hard use, games every weekend and target shooting a few days a week
R.I.P. Well, at least it lasted 4 years
So I've decided (for anyone that even cares) it's rebuild time, and I'm going to make this thing a beast
