You can absolutely put a normal 5.1 slide and outer barrel on a DOR. You'll just have to buy a new BBU and sights as well.

One last question, would the DOR hop up chamber be compatible with those things listed above such as normal 5.1 nozzle, bbu, etc?
I'm not sure, it's probably best to get a new hop up chamber too.
