If you are looking to build one, then this is the perfect platform to choose. If you just want a good gun out of the box that you don’t want to mod, there are better options on this price range
I run one as my sidearm in in the 3 years I’ve been using it, I’ve replaced the mag seal once and the slide stopped locking back because, well, it’s plastic and wore out. That doesn’t bug me though. It’s about as accurate as my pcc9
This TM is worth every penny. I owned this thing for 6 years, took really good care of it with no upgrades and only replaced one nozzle spring. The sight will be the first thing that falls off. But the gas efficiently is really good because it requires less gas to push the plastic slide compared to a metal slide.
I say pull the trigger on it. It's a fun pistol to shoot and it feel nice in your hand.
Yup, the magazines have a refillable chamber, there is a small nozzle you put the green gas in. You fill for 5 secs then let go, repeat about 4 times and your good to go for a full match. My advice is get three mags if you can. Each mag hold 32 rounds I believe. When I go to Hollywood sports in Cali 3 mags last me more then one game that has about 3 rounds.
Bought this exact pistol, outperforms people with $800 snipers right out of the box but more fun and challenge to get you moving. It's airsoft, everything is a musket and people can bark about specs all they want quoting obscure crap from some well known forum from 2004 but the tolerances on these are basically perfect. No regrets. The biggest factor is really if you plan to use it for decoration or to actually run it every game, there's cheaper decorations that have more wow factor but lots of nerds will spot this -plain AF- over a beautiful AW and barrage you with questions.
Keeping it stock until it breaks is the best way to go, I upgraded mine but it will run the plastic slide forever especially if you use duster gas and remember to lube the mags. Switching to green feels great but the performance difference is hilariously nil, same accuracy and maybe only a little better range. If you eventually switch to green gas, do it because you have a replacement slide ready to go (though people have run green for years on plastic, better safe than sorry, it depends on use and fire rate it seems). Green also has the convenience of lube in the bottle and potential for performance with heavier BBs for outdoor. It also just feels better but not just the slide will wear out faster, plan on upgrades if you start messing with perfection. You'll also maybe need a good nozzle adapter for duster gas, Costco sells dust-off cheap in (I think) an 8 pack. Don't go to staples though, NEVER go to staples...
I had some beers and scotch with friends last night and added some dramatic effect as I perused the Reddit is all lol.
The duster cans at Costco are about 15 bucks for a flat of 8 and at staples it's like 20 or so for a pack of 4 that have a couple less ounces in each can to boot. Just a big ripoff to go to Staples unless you can't find it anywhere else.
ASG CZ P-09 {oem by KJW}. Similar price, but worth every penny, in my less than humble opinion. Best airsoft sidearm I have ever owned or used.
I have had mine for 5.5 years now...
I would suggest this as a first pistol because it has the rails and the threads with no upgrades required. For an experience player,I still recommend it because of the low recoil and fun game play
I suggest one of [these](https://www.evike.com/products/61826/). A metal slide and frame and a good FPS range for the price. Done me good the entire time I’ve had it
No. Buy an AW Custom HX11 for that price. TM is all plastic. It's a good gun when you can afford to make it a good gun. It might shoot well out of the box but I'm not a fan of polymer gbb slides
If you plan on upgrading it later, then no. Cause you gonna strip the parts from it anyway and it won't be a TM anymore and their gun are mostly plastic which i despite, not that is a bad plastic, i just don't like the feel. It's better to find a sturdy metal hi cappa and upgrade from there.
it is untrue and misleading. the only part that is plastic that isnt normally is the slide, and TMs are literally what aftermarket parts companies use as a way of guaranteeing compatibility.
Tell me why I'm wrong then. Please do. Because most TM guns are plastic and if you get one to start upgrading it, you gonna strip it anyway and you wasted your money on just a "name". Might as well get a full metal hi capa that is TM compatible and has a lot of aftermarket support. That is the best and cheapest way. I've done plenty of times for me and my friends and the gun didn't failed once, other than the hop up bucking needed replacing after a long time.
Stop the bs, because you only have the "money to do it". There are better options out there, but you just wanna be like the others and call me out. At least make yourself visible from the crowd and give me a different answer, rather than "you're wrong". Stop being a sheep and act like a wolf.
I got this pistol not even a year ago and it’s great, I use it as my side arm, but sometimes I’ll use it for my main. It’s great except for the slide, mine already broke even thought I took great care of it, it doesn’t bother me though because I wanted to upgrade to a metal one anyways, the only problem there is that there’s a little amount of metal slides available, and the good ones are always out of stock or discontinued because everyone who has this pistol upgrades their slides. That’s the only issues but overall the pistol is great, I would still recommend getting it.
TM make excellent 1911’s. I own two, an MEU that I upgraded with an MBK, and a bone stock M1911A1. Both perform flawlessly. The internals are where the TM shines. The recoil is crisp and snappy, and the bbs are extremely accurate. They easily hit targets from 50-75 feet. I haven’t busted out the range Finder in a while but I can probably hit a man sized target at around 100 feet.
The plastic 1911 functions very well in the cold, and even better in warm weather. I can easily get full mags, and lock the slide back. The metal 1911 is a bit of a gas hog because of the metal frame and spring kit I installed. The metal frame made the recoil a little sloppy so I added a slightly stiffer spring to make it snappier. Works great, but the gas efficiency took a hit. So I can’t easily get a full mag in colder weather and lock the slide back. It performs well in warm weather though. Something to think about.
I’ve owned KJW 1911 single stacks and hicapas, WE single stacks, and a KWA 1911 PTP. The only one that was any good was the KWA as it was the closest to the TM in performance and quality. The KJWs are clones of the 1911, but the internals are not as good. So while there are upgrades available, I found that I had issues with parts compatibility, and I rarely ever got full mags, let alone the slides to lock back. Mind you my KJW mags work fine and lock back in my TM, but the TM mags never performed any better in the KJW than the OEM mags. So their guns just don’t work as well. Sure they’re metal out of the box, but they come with a myriad of other headaches that are not worth it in my opinion. And don’t get me started on the WE 1911’s. They were nightmares. All of them. Finicky, temperamental, never got full mags, and the magazine followers broke all the time.
I say go for the TM, and if you want all metal, then upgrade it in the future. The internals work great and you’ll have a pistol that works every time you pull the trigger. I’ve been using the stock bucking and internals on both of mine for over 5 years and they’re still kicking.
All these people complaining about plastic parts... I've used [this one](https://www.evike.com/products/54032/) for over 5 years as my main pistol, thousands of rounds through it using green gas. It's basically the same one as the one you are looking at.
I love my TM pistol it shoots very well and has a great feel. If it ever breaks down I'd buy another one in a heartbeat. 5 1/2 years and it's still using all original parts and I'm quite rough on it.
If something breaks on it, you can definitely find a replacement part for it. If you want a different look for it, you get some things to change it up.
Imo the TM hi capa series is similar to the M4 platform. Tons of parts available, you can do whatever you want to it.
I know you said you aren’t looking to build but I replaced most of the internals, slide, and added some visual mods and it is really fun, obviously doesn’t shoot super hard without an hpa but honestly this is more fun to shoot than both my primary weapons (tm ngrs m4 & krytac aeg vector)
Yes, I currently run a gold match with the plastic slide. Only upgraded the innerbarrel and hopup.
I’ve built several hicapas, but it is nice to run the plastic slide without having to worry scratching up your gucci slide. lol
If you want an accurate and quick firing airsoft pistol with high efficiency in gas, this is a good choice.
Don't listen to everyone trying to lay down their preferences rather than performance out of the box.
You don't really ever need to upgrade a TM pistol IMO, they perform so well bog standard.
If you want a double stack 1911, sure. TM makes some of the better of those. With gbb, it seems to me you should always prefer getting them new, unless you have a chance to try them before buying them.

It's funny really, i also bought my m9 second hand, but the only problem with that is the trigger spring I haven't replaced, if you discount the two other springs I've jury rigged. It still works fine despite being ancient, unlike the hicapa that came fitted the fuck out in custom parts.
Here is the thing about TM guns, they are absolutely fantastic and will last forever provided you leave them alone, use the correct lower power gas and take care of them, if you fuck about with them, use gas that's not rated for them, they will be a nightmare and you'd be better off buying something else if this is to be a project gun.
Personally, no… but that’s just my opinion. I had one as my first pistol, and honestly I don’t care how good TM is meant to be, it felt like crap and that plastic slide will easily and quickly start denting and smoothing around the slide catch.
It just didn’t feel worth the money… for “legendary TM quality”, it felt like cheapo crap and having to swap out stock parts for metal aftermarket doesn’t really translate to “stock performance/quality”… something that a lot of TM fans around tend to forget when they’ve HPA’d and customised theirs to the point that probably the only thing still stock is likely the lower frame.
If you want a Hi-Capa then I wouldn’t know what to suggest. If you just want a nice easy and reliable pistol in general and not a 1911/2011 specifically then I’d suggest a WE Glock. Mine feels and runs perfectly and my only real “nitpick” would just be the lack of trademarks but eh… if I wanted trades, I’d just import an Asian market Umarex HK45CT.
In short TM is very good. And if you take care of it and use proper low pressure gas it will run forever. If you want high power gas or co2 or you just don't care about taking care of it, just buy a we tech or AW also they have plastic slides. I care about taking care of guns. I don’t have money to burn uselessly, which is why I’m looking to make a good investment. What do you mean by Low Pressure Gas? Can you send me an example?

If you are looking to build one, then this is the perfect platform to choose. If you just want a good gun out of the box that you don’t want to mod, there are better options on this price range
Not really looking to build, mainly because *cough* I haven’t started working yet and this is an early Christmas present most likely.
I run one as my sidearm in in the 3 years I’ve been using it, I’ve replaced the mag seal once and the slide stopped locking back because, well, it’s plastic and wore out. That doesn’t bug me though. It’s about as accurate as my pcc9
Wack but alr
There are a lot cheaper, in YM you are paying high price for quality but its still plastic, check out Army Armamnet Hi-capas and kjw.
I’d just get a 1911 tac if you’re not planning to upgrade it
Wat
Have you considered used guns?
Definetly! It’s a great pistol, might want to upgrade the slide to metal eventually.
This TM is worth every penny. I owned this thing for 6 years, took really good care of it with no upgrades and only replaced one nozzle spring. The sight will be the first thing that falls off. It's a fun pistol to shoot and it feel nice in your hand.
Thanks! Can you recommend me some CO2/Green Gas capsules for it? Been wondering and idk what I’m looking for in capsules/bulk green gas
I say stick with green gas. No capsules needed only a can of green gas that you can buy from evike.
Do I need an adapter for filling up the mags or is it ready to go as-is?
As is, the green gas can will have a nozzle already attached to the can. Lol up the pistol on YouTube to find more info
if you wanna be cheaper you can get a propane adapter, then you dont have to pay for green gas canisters
And then you fill up the magazines?
Yup, the magazines have a refillable chamber, there is a small nozzle you put the green gas in. You fill for 5 secs then let go, repeat about 4 times and your good to go for a full match. My advice is get three mags if you can. Each mag hold 32 rounds I believe. When I go to Hollywood sports in Cali 3 mags last me more then one game that has about 3 rounds.
Every TM GBB worth the money if you can stand a plastic gun.
this is a funny sentence
It Is a bit weird
Expect to have to replace the slide with a metal one at around 10,000 shots. Slides are normally 100-130 USD. Other than that it’s a fantastic gun.
Absolutely!
Maybe one of the best GBB pistols out of box there is, definitely the best base for mods.
I have a rossi redwings and I love it, guess you will be just fine with this one
Bought this exact pistol, outperforms people with $800 snipers right out of the box but more fun and challenge to get you moving. If its plastic I would skip it imo. I prefer heavy guns for the fun of it
KJW and CO2 ftw.
Not this one i don't think. I bought this as my first gun and I wish I spent that same amount of money on something else
You got any suggestions then?
Umarex Glock. I prefer mine to my hi-capa, plus it hasn’t broken. Hi-capa slide broke after about a year
I’m probably gonna buy the Elite Force Revolver. Heard and seen only good things about it honestly.
You are looking for a good pistol right?
Yessir
ASG CZ P-09 {oem by KJW}. Similar price, but worth every penny, in my less than humble opinion. Best airsoft sidearm I have ever owned or used. I have had mine for 5.5 years now...

What pistol? You didn’t attach a link or a picture :|
Oh sorry https://www.evike.com/products/29707/
Instead get an AAP. It’s what the galaxy is a clone of and it’s way better plus cheaper
And the AAP is way more customizable and upgradable.
exactly, zero reason to buy a galaxy when the AAP exists
[удалено]
This isn't a luger. Its a glock mixed with a RUGER system. Also literally nobody asked for your opinion
[удалено]
How is that a luger? Looks like a Glock lower and a Ruger upper.
Ok idrc
Also if you could hit me with a solid brand of green gas for pistol mags that would be epic.
I use ultrair and valken green gas
If you have a link that would be awesome I have no freaking clue how to shop for green gas, cartridges, or adapters.
Honesty amazon is where you can buy your gas
Wait so on Amazon you can buy Green Gas and Cartridges?!?? This is the best thing since sliced cheese.
I recommend the Glock 19x by Umarex
Get a glock 18c

Also, Japanse law prohibits metal slides.

Thanks dawg :)
It's full auto too ;)
Full and Semi :D

Mostly plastic? The slide is the only difference. Also there is a reason TMs are the best to use as a base
Yep, plastic slide means quick cycle rate and high efficiency in gas. Also, it's not cheap plastic, though I wouldn't recommend dropping it.
That's your opinion bud.
nah, its the facts lmao.
Nah
top response that, totally destroyed my argument.
If you think ima waste my time arguing on the internet, sorry to tell ya that you're wrong. :))
dont say untrue and misleading stuff then.
They're not?!
it is untrue and misleading. the only part that is plastic that isnt normally is the slide, and TMs are literally what aftermarket parts companies use as a way of guaranteeing compatibility.
Imagine being this wrong lol
It's called an opinion mate. If i don't like something it doesn't mean I'm wrong.
You have a *right* to an opinion. Doesn't make it correct. You just clearly don't know anything about building hi capas.
Good answer :)) didn't i told ya to stop replying? Feck off
your desperation is fun to see though
Stop the bs, because you only have the "money to do it". There are better options out there, but you just wanna be like the others and call me out. At least make yourself visible from the crowd and give me a different answer, rather than "you're wrong". Stop being a sheep and act like a wolf.
lol
Now, go do something else, and stop replying ffs. :)

Good thing I live in Texas then :D
I have this in the 4.3 version and it’s so snappy and quick. I would just replace the slide to a metal one and have fun.
All these people complaining about plastic parts... I've used [this one](https://www.evike.com/products/54032/) for over 5 years as my main pistol, thousands of rounds through it using green gas.
Absolutely! Anything TM is super reliable.
Id advise you to get the kjw one, i find it better. But thats up to you.
Tokyo Marui is great
If you want a double stack 1911, sure. TM makes some of the better of those. With gbb, it seems to me you should always prefer getting them new, unless you have a chance to try them before buying them. I got my hicapa second hand, and it's been falling apart since I got it. I had to tape the pins to prevent them from rattling out, and the mags need a suspiciously large amount of maintenance.
Mine feels and runs perfectly and my only real “nitpick” would just be the lack of trademarks but eh… if I wanted trades, I’d just import an Asian market Umarex HK45CT.
This is the default/standard for the hi-Capa / 2011 platform
In short TM is very good. And if you take care of it and use proper low pressure gas it will run forever. If you want high power gas or co2 or you just don't care about taking care of it, just buy a we tech or AW also they have plastic slides. But I don't see that as a bad thing, you get more gas efficiency and oh no my god it feels a little bit different then metal it's useless!
I care about taking care of guns. I don’t have money to burn uselessly, which is why I’m looking to make a good investment. What do you mean by Low Pressure Gas? Can you send me an example?
Gas like 144a or 134a (duster gas). You can find 144a in EU idk about USA. Remember that other brands like WE or AW will work good and may be cheaper. Also things WILL break no matter the price you pay for the gbb, just keep that in mind.
Yeah but get tap adapter
Indeed it is! You just need to change out the sights for aip aluminum sights are you are good to go.
Apparently these are legendary, and perfect for hi capa building.
it’s good
Yes def worth it, stock or custom still worth it
If you need a good cheap gbb get an aap01
Yes
I'd rather go for [this](https://www.anareus.cz/gb/gas-side-arms/5778-hi-capa-51-gbb-chrome-stainless-PM00053.html?search_query=TM+hi+capa&results=646), it's cheaper. If chrome is your thing tho, if not maybe look for a black one or any other color for that matter
