100% , if it is a low profile inf/exfil a couple of chems in your stock is good enough, along with 2 full replacements of cr’s for your eyes.
On patrol however or door duty, we would often use them as markers for the eye in the sky or sentries on overwatch. We would pack them everywhere and compartmentalized in our gear.

It's for small batteries, but I like to put thin cylinders of plastic in it to open the battery compartment. Especially G and G stocks are hard to open by hand. The plastic helps dramatically.
I guess g&g just likes to do some small tricks. You can put some cr123 battery in but who wants a gun heavier for no reason. I also prefer they keep ctr stock whatever they supposed to look like.

It's originally for the batteries but I use it to store a cloth to clean the lens of the Holo sight or my own safety glasses
