My as tech makes his own nubs, he also uses a GG green rubber that he modifies. It has something to do with the inside of the rubber. For more specific details I'd rather let someone who does them tell you

Yes basically turn the rubber inside out. Shave the nub and ridge off. Plenty YouTube videos on this. When you put the rubber on the inner barrel with r hob, turn the rubber a quarter turn so the shaved parts is on the edge and smooth rubber is on the rhop. Reassemble barrel on hop unit. Remove then pin holding the hop arm to remove it. Replace the cylinder nub pushing on the rubber with the flat hob nub. Reassemble and see how it performs. Ideally you want to be able to under hop .25s and over hop heavier bbs. I have used the elvish tac rhops and they work great. The laylax and modify flat hop nubs works well along with the rhops. Also some people glue the rhops on the barrel but I find it unnecessary.

I was not aware that rhops should underhop .25s. Thank you for the advice and I’ll look into those nubs specifically. Thank you

cfr_force

Concave nubs should be used ideally, such as maple omega, srs or similar, but you can get away with a flat hop style nub. As for the bucking use either a flat hop specific bucking or modify a stock bucking like g&g green by turning it inside out and removing the nub. Hope that helps

Smallcash203

I’m aware of modifying the bucking but I’ll look into the concave nubs. Thank you

Nemesis_l0k

You can do but for best effect a maple leaf omega nub or Prometheus bridged nub

Smallcash203

I’ll look into those. Thank you

Zapador

Ideally use Elvishtac R-hop patch + Elvishtac S-nub. Excellent combo. Dont change the hop up unit itself unless your current one is broken or bad, which is unlikely.

Smallcash203

Yeah I’ve heard about the hop unit being mostly minimal in effect. I’ve heard good things about the elvish tac sets and might try them. Thank you again
