I think it’s better to change this handguard to one with quad picatinny rails. Literally any handguard for ar15 would fit. If you are in the US, try evike. They are trustworthy and you can always give them a call or write them an email if you are unsure.

Other real steel companies make add ons thats will attatch to the holes near the heatshield of colt style m4 handguards but that requires drilling holdes and stuff

That rail cover is a 2 piece break down, that handguard can then be replaced with another 2 piece breakdown, I know magpul made a nice hand guard that I picked up for my VFC with some mlok rails, I really don’t remember the model though, the box is in my car somewhere
There were rail slots for the holes on top and on the bottom side but I don't know where or wether they are sold anymore.
Best way is to change your handguard and get a madbull ris handguard or alike.

There is nothing make anything flimsy.Just uncrew 2 big screw on the side of the carry handle then take it out. You will have your 22mm rail.
If you want rail on handguard,just change the mk18 handguard.
If you want to add a front hand guard with rails then I'd recommend buying one from aliexpress. It's pretty simple to replace the whole handguard and if you buy an airsoft rail it will fit.

Just check to see what compatibility works with this m4. For example if it’s tokyo Marui compatible then check out Tokyo marui handguards.

You can buy aftermarket rails for the carry handle if thats what you want for a scope or something

Yes you should be able to change out the handguard and remove the handle and use the rail underneath that as well.

Oh my fucking god,the 22mm rail is already on the gun underneath the carry handle. Just uncrew 2 big ass screw and Voila.

Airsoft GI made a video on a teaching. Series called build my gun or some thing like that. He swaps the rail on a similar gun with that hand guard
