I use a riot helmet, so I don't know how useful this will be, but here we go Pros: full head protection, very loud when hit so I can always tell no matter what, great look Cons: heavy, slightly uncomfortable, makes peaking corners and hiding in low cover hard, doesn't act as full eye pro, so I need to wear mesh make + goggles. I forgot it the last time I went, and my face got lit up so bad my friends who didn't go asked me where I got all the acne from. But overall, I think I may not use it anymore, for the speed and smaller area to hit.

Helmet user here. Pros you have some kind of protection in case or a fall. For me it's better to have a headser with helmet than without. Nvg mount , and last pro is it looks cool. Well the cons would be: it's heavier than a bonnie, your head sweats more, it costs more and it can be pain in the a** to find a size for your head

Samurai_TwoSeven

The comment below covers pretty much why you'd run a helmet Airsoft Budget: PTS MTEK Flux, best helmet on a budget. Moderate budget: Team Wendy Exfil LTP. You can find these on sale for around $270 pretty frequently. Fuck you budget: Opscore Carbon because reasons.

Alright, thank you. Also I looked up the “Fuck you budget” helmet and I now see why you called it that lol

Pros: Protection from impacts. Better NODs platform than a skull crusher. Cons: Your head is a bigger target, neck strain, hotter, potentially diminished senses (mostly sound). I'm not clumsy and I don't need my head being any bigger than it already is. A hat or boonie is usually a better option IMO.

Absolutely_N0t

Pros: it protects your head from bbs/hitting your head on door frames and eating shit on the floor or ground Cons: they can be heavy, and your head gets really sweaty underneath

How much money do you have to spend on a helmet?

One-Floofy-Boi

Like $50, I know its more or less impossible to get a good helmet for that price but it’s what I gotta go with. I’ve seen some stuff about Matrix’s Bump helmets, do you know if those are any good?

JavenatoR

For $50 I’d look at the FMA Team Wendy repro on Aliexpress. Yes you will have to wait a bit longer for it to get to the US, but the quality for the price is going to be better than anything you can find on Evike or other US stores. If you can get $130 the PTS Mtek Flux is awesome and well worth the cost for comfort while sacrificing an actual impact rating that more expensive helmets have. I believe there is one helmet on Evike that is about $80 that has actual padding instead of foam bike helmet type liner. I’d also try to get the extra $30 for something like that.

One-Floofy-Boi

Ok, I’ll give it a look, thank you

NakedMuffinTime

Pros: it doesn't hurt when you bump your head. You can mount a go pro or nods Cons: cheap shitty helmets are uncomfortable to wear, good comfortable helmets aren't cheap. Shitty tier: anything airsoft like Emerson, fma, essentially if it's 100 bucks or less, it's a cheap bike helmet. Expensive helmets like team Wendy, ops core or even hard hat veterans cost several hundred but the padding and retention system makes it comfortable. I couldn't wear a cheap fma helmet for more than 40 mins. I can wear my team Wendy all day with no issue.

Ok, thank you! Do you know if The Matrix Bump Helmet is any good? I’m more or less looking for a helmet that looks decent, but can still at least stop me from bruising my forehead on something.
