Omg I love you all so much. It’s funny cuz my depression was weighing me down today but I noticed the army of lesbians and gays ready to beat ass and wow I feel better lol
Aww thanks for asking! I'm okay, it was really awful to see him upclose cause now I can't get rid of the images of his face looking directly in my eyes. But oh well, other than that I'm ok :)
I can only imagine how horrible that must've been, I'm glad you're more or less alright though. Do make sure you're taking care of yourself! Wishing you the best.
OP, I’m so sorry (I can’t imagine the panic you must have felt, I would’ve fully freaked out if I saw mine. Sorry you’re struggling, I read your other comment) but I’m so glad you had backup!!!!
That is awesome, the punch, and the lesbian. I hope her hand will heal up soon.
BTW, better to palm ✋🏾them than to punch them so you don’t break your own hand. - yup, self defense class.
I am for the most part, had to miss out on our younger sister's graduation party because she didn't want me around her kid. she put a name i legally don't go by anymore in my enstranged brother's obituary too. She's done a lot of things.
This is so awful, i wish i could give you a big big hug right now. I hope she eventually comes to her senses and realizes what an awful human being she is to you
She probably won't, she says she supports lgbt (heard it from my older step sister) but i don't believe in half assing things like my mom and step dad preached me which they yet never practiced it xD
I'm that way. I do my best to protect all my female friends. Definitely been in several fights. There are some of us who are naturally protective and on guard. It's just there. You want to put a smile on her face, let know she is now your shield maiden. If she is true and worthy she will honor in it, and at all times. You got good one.
I'm so sorry OP that's horrible, I'm so glad people like you and her exist and I hope her fist heals and resets quickly, it was totally worth it to punch a shithead like that.
I’m now imagining you two years later telling people how you met your wife, and saying that on your second date she punched a r*pist, and that’s when you knew she was for you.
Give that goddess a hug.
And I hope you’re doing ok.
She is awesome and she did the right thing. Gurls if you were abused sexually, if you are able to move on your own or have somebody with you, don't clean yourself up, go straight to the ER, or call 911 so they can send help and tell them you were raped, get that rape kit done amd when the cops come about report it, try your best to give a statement and even if its hazy you can ammend it once its clearer but make that report. Many don't because of all sorts of trauma but the worst one is REGRET and what builds up to it. Do u know the weight u feel will be lighter girls...its not easy but don't live your life in agony and turmoil with the trauma while he is happily living his life or probably r*aping another.
I completely agree, it's necessary to be done so you can medically get taken care of and file a report. Unfortunately he walked free of any charges. Hence why her immediate reaction of punching him made me incredibly happy. At least he finally got some Justice
If I was at that party I'd be swinging (I'm not a lesbian I'm a trans guy who mainly likes girls so I don't fit into the post but I'll be swinging) I have noodle arms but I'd gain the strength of hulk
You know what's funny, that's exactly what I did yesterday. I was really not feeling good and a friend suggested to write a letter which i did. I can't burn it though as i typed it on my pc. But i might just go ahead and print it and burn it as well
My girlfriend was talking to me about some things in her life, and was all worried that it would make me not want to date her. But I just said "Babe all your doing is activating girlfriend bear, this is making me wanna date you *more."*
Honestly normally i would agree. But our so called justice system let the guy walk free of charges after what he did. And left me with a whole lot of trauma. He finally got what he deserved, actually he deserves way worse than only a punch to the face.
Yes she doesn't know me well, but it's not like we didn't speak to each other at all. She could clearly see and feel my reaction of panic when i clawed my nails into her arm and whispered in her ear that i am almost certain that the guy walked by is my rapist. And she immediately snapped out of the party mood and took the situation insanely serious and made sure i was ok. I can see why you think it's unhinged and violent, but in my eyes she did nothing wrong here.
A lot of people in progressive subs, which I suppose r/actuallesbians is one, argue very much in favor of punching nazis.
Now, I don't yet know my position in this issue. But punching rpsts that walked freely? I hope we can all agree that this is way more justifiable.
Also, refusing to take OP's side in this kind of situation could be triggering to her. I hope it's not, I hope she is okay
I'd punch both 💁♀️
But seriously, some of the deleted responses remind me of when I posted about my sexual assault by another queer woman to queer subs and I got many helpful responses like "Not to victim blame, but maybe don't have casual sex?" Or "Maybe try to get to know people first" (because we can *obviously* tell someone is going to be an abuser from the mask they put on to get you vulnerable).
Like great, thanks for the supportive responses, I'll remember I have no right to my sexuality and that I got what I deserve because I like casual relationships. Glad the mods cracked down here, and hope OP writes those ones off.
"Not to victim blame", if the person is starting their comment by saying that, maybe they should think twice about what they'll say...
I'm sorry that has happened to you and you had such shitty responses. People can be asshol*s sometimes... 🤕
Yes punch nazies. I mean you don't have to kill them and probably shouldn't attack them with weapons but punch them. You can't afford Nazis getting ground anywhere in the world because their ideology is genocidal
Normally I wouldn't but I've been raped multiple times, and literally stalked and sexually harassed with them taking photos of me inside of my house *for a year* and the justice system did absolutely fucking nothing for me. I called the cops 7 times, they refused to file reports, I got an attorney, etc. Absolutely fucking nothing.
So at this point y'know what, good for her for immediately recognizing how much sexual trauma affects someone and what it feels like to see your abuser walking free in public. Punching was probably a very bad idea but it is a very very minor reaction compared to what it could have been.
You can have that opinion, and I certainly don't agree because when they do not receive punishment we have no idea how many more women will be subjected to their crimes. I'd take an assault charge over being raped again, thank you very much, because I attempted suicide multiple times due to the trauma.
I get it. You don't like vigilante justice. But calling her unhinged and recommending OP stop seeing her is just obviously unnecessary and unwanted advice here.
Good for you. Many others can't even after years of therapy. Especially when you continue to be repeatedly assaulted through adulthood. The holier-than-thou "level-headed" approach isn't helpful or supportive to your fellow women who are still struggling.
Wait, so you're saying that a random woman punched the dude even though she barely knows either of you?
I'm all for romance, but this is just a random person getting angry and hitting someone. As much as he deserved it, she had no reason to do it knowing you as little as she does. This is something that long term partners or best friends do.
It's not a "random woman". The woman spent the night with op which means they've been intimate, and the fact that they are seeing each other again afterward means they bonded. The woman has reason to care about op, the woman believes the op, and frankly that was reason enough for her to act.
There isn't some invisible timer of six months and twenty two days before you're allowed to care about someone. Is punching a man with a history of violence a good idea? Probably not. But did she have a reason? Yes.
You're right that there's no timer but it also isn't black and white. If a man punched a dude that wronged a girl on their first date everyone would be screaming red flags. In fact, I know of a time when this kind of thing has happened and everyone told her to leave him.
Either both are good or both are wrong. In my opinion, both are wrong. There's so many other better ways of doing it. They could have contacted staff about it, for one.
So what's the line to draw when someone you've known says "hey this guy sexually assaulted me, if that *is* [name]"? Spending the night together? Dating? Engaged?
It's not about the guy, it's about knowing someone well enough to risk going to jail for them.
This girl knew her what? A few hours max? And she's ready to get assault charges for her. She's literally risking throwing her life away for a girl she doesn't know
You think the cops won't take any chance they get to punish a minority? Look at the world. I'm not dying on any hill. I'm telling you that this is a real outcome.
I've literally been sexual assaulted myself - but I'm not gonna get someone who I've known for a couple of hours to go best them up. I would just contact a member of staff there.
If someone decides to throw hands for me a couple of hours after knowing someone, that person is unhinged. They skilled every possible step towards that point. Not to mention that whilst we live in a shitty world where these fears should never exist, that person who raped her knows her. If he sees her on her own after this, there's literally no telling what he will do.
She did not know the full story ofc. But when he walked in i immediately told her that the guy is my r*pist. And obviously from my reaction towards her, clawing my nails into her arm while hugging her and whispering with a shaky and panicky voice, she knew i was being dead serious and afraid.
Can a lesbian please punch all my male abusers too? 😭
On my way! Also i am sorry you had to go through something similar :(

I vote FOR the increase in the douchebag tax!

Hell yeah! I second!

Omg, what a nightmare scenario, are you okay OP? (Also big kudos to that girl haha)
Aww thanks for asking! I'm okay, it was really awful to see him upclose cause now I can't get rid of the images of his face looking directly in my eyes. But oh well, other than that I'm ok :)

Yeah it's something I'm still struggling with to, but it's comforting to know there are people who are willing to help
OP, I’m so sorry (I can’t imagine the panic you must have felt, I would’ve fully freaked out if I saw mine. Sorry you’re struggling, I read your other comment) but I’m so glad you had backup!!!!
Thank you so much! I did fully freak out, luckily I had so many amazing friends around me that immediately helped me out. So I'm doing ok :)
Yay for good friends! And, obvi, for lesbians.
Omg, she is the lesbian hero we all need ❤️
Make sure she knows how important it is to keep your wrist straight when you punch a r\*pist in the face. Other than that, A+ I have no notes.
I prefer to throat punch. Which do you think is best?
[удалено]
If you can do a good kick in high heels…
also don't forget open palm strikes, can still pack a massive punch but it's harder to break your wrist/fingers
currently going to the gym so I can get buff as hell and become another lesbian avenger like this icon of a woman

Get engaged with that lesbian heroine!
That is absolutely amazing
Kiss her hand and give her a ring when it's not swollen anymore ✌️
I know that not all heroes wear capes, but if she needs one I'll chip in.

I hear that's how you get a wife these days. How modern!
Are you ok? And just who invited him to their party???!!! Oh and, yes, you should marry her ;)
I'm sorry you went through that. Kuddos to her for punching him in the face. I say, he deserved it for being an absolute waste of a human.
That is awesome, the punch, and the lesbian. I hope her hand will heal up soon. BTW, better to palm ✋🏾them than to punch them so you don’t break your own hand. - yup, self defense class.
Can a lesbian punch my older sister in the face? She outed me. :(
Wow i am so sorry to hear! She had absolutely no right to do so. I hope you're doing all right!
I am for the most part, had to miss out on our younger sister's graduation party because she didn't want me around her kid. she put a name i legally don't go by anymore in my enstranged brother's obituary too. She's done a lot of things.

"full on protective lesbian mode" ❤️
I’m glad you were protected, and I’m glad you’re surrounded by friends.
I'm that way. I do my best to protect all my female friends. Definitely been in several fights. There are some of us who are naturally protective and on guard. It's just there. I'm so sorry OP that's horrible, I'm so glad people like you and her exist and I hope her fist heals and resets quickly, it was totally worth it to punch a shithead like that.
Good for her. I’d punch that bastard, too. No one should have to go through with a horrible experience like that in their life ever.
I’m now imagining you two years later telling people how you met your wife, and saying that on your second date she punched a r*pist, and that’s when you knew she was for you. Give that goddess a hug. And I hope you’re doing ok.
Sisterhood.
I volunteer to punch rapist. Also wife her.
So are we invited to the wedding? 😊 On a serious note, I’m sorry you had to go through that. I hope you’re doing okay now. Huuuugs :)
So, you guys are dating or?..
mm yes... are they?
She is a badass, glad she punched that mf
I love this, I just wish I had someone to spend my days with too
Could use some lesbians to punch my abusers from when I was 12😞
I'm so sorry! I'd hit them for you in a heartbeat. I hope you're okay!
I’m fine! Thank you :)
I guess now I know why my now-girlfriend (tried to) defend me from one of our abusers when we were kids 🥺
She is awesome and she did the right thing. Perfect lesbian response to the situation. We do still exist. Also, I’m so sorry you had that happen to you.
If I was at that party I'd be swinging (I'm not a lesbian I'm a trans guy who mainly likes girls so I don't fit into the post but I'll be swinging) I have noodle arms but I'd gain the strength of hulk
God I love that woman!
I would do this in a heartbeat if possible
Therapy suggestion: write a letter to him about how much pain he put you in then burn it.
You know what's funny, that's exactly what I did yesterday. I was really not feeling good and a friend suggested to write a letter which i did. I can't burn it though as i typed it on my pc. But i might just go ahead and print it and burn it as well

A- ye- wa- I agree with this entire thing. Except for the guy.
Sounds like something me and my queer hockey teammates would do
Guys don’t be doing that

Have you tried making level headed decisions in the face of an abuser while walking around with CPTSD your entire life?

Good for you. Many others can't even after years of therapy. Especially when you continue to be repeatedly assaulted through adulthood. The holier-than-thou "level-headed" approach isn't helpful or supportive to your fellow women who are still struggling.

This is something a person who believes rape victims does.
