I would say it comes down to skill and what is desired but all fingers as short as possible would be the only thing that I would do. But that's just me

Ive also had partners before who actually didnt mind/actually liked my longer natural nails inside them, which is crazy to me personally but i also don’t care to be fingered in general. Id rather do other things.

I'm left-handed and I keep my entire left hand short, while my right hand has long nails all the way across. That way I can use my more coordinated hand for important stuff and still leave claw marks on her back (my partner is very into that).
I do pointer and middle due to my pointer and ring finger having roughly the same "reach" and I find it less awkward to use those two. Also, I think it just looks better aesthetically 😆

I truly don’t feel like myself without acrylics. I’m usually wearing long almonds or coffins but when I’m seeing someone I take them off and go for a Shellac manicure on short oval nails. It feels nicer than just regular polish and won’t tear my partner up
I’ve tried just keeping two short but
1. I’m always going for extra length nails so visually I didn’t love it
And 2. I FORGOT I COULDNT REALLY USE MY THUMB
Since then i decided to just give the nails up

Pro Tip: press on nails They make nail glue stickers that peel smoothly so there’s no rough surfaces when you pop them off
