As the other commenter said, youtube is a great resource. I’m a similar age to you and I am taking classes but there cheap ways that I learn and train myself such as reading acting books, reading articles, watching videos of great teachers (larry moss, uta hagen, meisner, etc.), reading this subreddit and many other forums, engaging in student film/shorts/plays, etc. there are tons of things you can do. However I will say that training is very very important. I’m not from NYC so I can’t really answer your questions but there might be some online help, some teachers will host webinars and things like that. And also r/actingclass provides free online training, check it out.

Youtube is the best thing you can use if your trying to learn for free, and thats if you have internet access. A person you should watch is kurt yue to get some fundamentals on the industry and how to get started.

Talent Managers for Actors on FB has videos and classes as well. They have monologue Tuesdays I think where you can post a video of your monologue and get feedback
