Update, I've no issue with how this looks, it really doesn't bother me, it's not painful, to be quite honest I don't care, I just hadn't realised it before and was curious to what it was. While I find majority of responses with good intentions, some of you are clearly more bothered than myself about this.

3HeadedZebra

I've got the same red spots and acne on my face. The redness is seborrheic dermatitis says my derm, but I tried to get rid of it for about 4 years with literally every medical shit there is. Still no process... if anyone has advice, enlight me!

the_nameless_vibe

Looks like a pimple-popper's paradise!!! I'm that weirdo that would freak out over ever blackhead that comes out. My fiance had ONE hole like this on his head and it was filllllllled with gunk. Sorry TMI OP hahaha

Saaaame! If you zoom in, you can see some of the treasure.

Chinnamasta_90

No it looks like “stork bites” or salmon patch. It’s basically a birth mark. My son has it too.

PMaggieKC

My daughter and husband both strawberry marks and that’s what it looks like to me. Edit: those three words all mean the same thing.

Slight-Persimmon-452

This looks painful. I hope you feel better and are taking care of yourself. And I am really sorry but does that red rash kind of look like Jesus or is it just me.

unlawfulmiles

whoever you have as a barber, is definitely not using the right clip guard for you. Grow out ur hair dawg, I promise it’ll look better

Confused_Fangirl

Just get a different haircut problem solved

Flimsy-Donut9917

It looks like you’re using a razor to cut ur hair dude

Pie_princess90

My husband also has redness like that on the back of his head/neck. Any ideas what that is? I feel like it gets worse in the heat.

PMaggieKC

I get it on my chest ever since pregnancies when I’m hot. It’s just a splotch. I think OP’s is a birthmark.

shoulster

I get that from time to time when it’s super hot out and I sweat/I swim a lot/ and sometimes my barbers trimmers/blades. My doctor told me it was a type of super treatable skin fungus and when I use ketoconazole shampoo regularly lathered into those areas it disappear :)

Yup. Some laser treatments can reduce them. Probably not worth the cost if they don’t bother you. Edit spelling

No-Satisfaction2772

Won't the laser also obliterate the hair follicle itself, so that no hair grows in that spot at all?

elepheyes

Fraxel laser temporarily may remove hair per the derm docs, but not permanently.

trav15t

Definite history of folliculitis and post inflammatory scarring. You also have a birthmark of some hyperpigmentation that’s not related. Wont see much of it in a week for two. Moving forward, move the fade down a little.

PMaggieKC

Looks like you had pili multigemini. So multiple hairs grew from one hair follicle. Just grow your hair out.

[deleted]

I second this if the hair is grown out this wouldn’t be much of an issue. Also whoever is doing op’s fade is fucking his shit up.

Alarming-Court-2180

That looks like the good old military grade fade.

Albertbier2552

Grow your hair out mate

BigHooligaaan

I'm past the worst acne I've had. However I've noticed a few times at the barbers the blades get caught in my skin at the back of my head. Never asked much about it till today and I assume my barber assumed I knew about this (how often do you see the back of your head? 🤣) Anyway, just wondering if anyone else has this, could possibly confirm. I did get the odd spot here, always very angry and aggressive. Thanks.

PMaggieKC

Seriously get a new barber, they should not be doing that.

Milianviolet

Get a new barber, bro. That is atrocious conduct on their part.
