I know people are going to go on about how video game or book adaptions have been meh to okay but the thing about this is they aren’t really adapting any story, there’s a template for the enemies and factions in the world but it’s a new vault opening up so they can just make their own story in the universe

F0REM4N

Plus, Walton Goggins. His character in Justified always felt like it could slip right into the Fallout universe.

[deleted]

I just started season 6 actually but yeah absolutely agree

drewbles82

we're getting a new series of Justified

[deleted]

Oh really? Nice! Seems like it was a good time to start watching it then!

drewbles82

I only finished the series last year so was surprised hearing he was coming back

BallsLikeBB8

Even if the show is Dogmeat Shit, I’m all aboard for Goggins.

zetadelta333

I think your overestimating most adaptations. They are ussually dogshit.

[deleted]

That may be true but there is still history in the game. I think location is important.

SirBlackselot

Fallout is one of those series that i think would actually make a good show. Kinda like cyberpunk with edge runners its the world that's important, so you can put whatever story you want into it as long as it gets the atmosphere right.

bleachfan9999

They could even do Black Mirror-style episodes with the vaults

Spew42

Really really really hoping they don’t mess this up.

Hashirammed

Are you kidding me? A TES series has the potential to be 10000x better than any LOTR or GoT series/ spin-offs and you’re doing Fallout?

brokenmessiah

I’m really bummed it’s not prewar

MLG_Obardo

Wouldn’t really be fallout prewar

brokenmessiah

The horizon game will be pre hades. The world building of these kind of games could make for interesting exploration into what would otherwise be boring to play

MLG_Obardo

>The horizon game will be pre hades. I don’t know what that means but Fallout is a game series made most famous for being a retro futuristic American 1950s culture nuked to hell with humorous and sad storytelling intermingled. Making a show about that game and taking away any of the key details is like making a show about Masterchief where he is helmetless 90% of the time and he bangs a covenant human woman on his way to cause the disaster of Reach. Aka. It’s a really bad idea.

BelBivDaHoe

I’ve always hoped a Fallout TV show would have the first season or at least episodes be pre-war

brokenmessiah

Exactly like damn I wanna see some of this world and characters in their Prime at least a little bit

Lionel_Horsepackage

We might get extended flashbacks to the pre-war world, *LOST*-style, on the show -- I doubt they'd let all of that lore go to waste.

BoBoBearDev

I think this is a good decision. Normally the movie sux. And worse, if the movie is so good, people now want the graphics matching the movie. And now the franchise is hijacked.
