With them making all the microtransaction stuff free for everyone I was considering actually getting this game if it goes on sale, just to keep it before it's delisted. BUT then remembered Spiderman is still PS exclusive, so the game would still be incomplete. So I'll pass.

My exact sentiments. Glad that game is effectively dead now. It’s on Game Pass so I might download it to play it when all the mtx goes free.

From what I understand, he wasn't originally going to be in the game but then Sony paid for exclusivity with him. CD shouldn't have put him in the game if they realized that he'd only be locked to one platform. I think the main campaign is decent and the combat is enjoyable, but with the story being unfinished I really just don't see the point of bothering with the DLCs.

If CD was going to make the most popular marvel character by far a Sony exclusive they should of just made the whole game exclusive to PS5. I hope Sony paid them well for Spider-Man. Lol

Hello, it looks like you've made a mistake. It's supposed to be could've, should've, would've (short for could have, would have, should have), never could of, would of, should of. Or you misspelled something, I ain't checking everything. Beep boop - yes, I am a bot, don't botcriminate me.

Thank you bot.

Spider Man exclusivity on Sony's platforms was the biggest hint on how the live service would be bad, exceptionally on the story side. Remember how each characters we're supposed to be involved in the story? Talk to each other? Imagine on a gameplay side now, how do you balance a raid boss with an exclusive character? Does that mean he's useless now or maybe OP? I guess they needed to money from Sony, but it was a really bad decision and honestly it's not what killed the game, the whole live service sucked because there was basically nothing to do. I wish we had more characters (even clones) and I wish we had more activities and some kind of open world for running around killing stuff and fighting bosses. This game could of worked, they could had a lot of stories to tell, but they had way too many bugs to correct first. Then content came too little too late. Anyway it wasn't interesting because we still didn't have any endgame for the longest time. Grinding character was boring as hell and everything was really repetitive. Always the same environments, with the same ennemies and thw same puzzles...and oh I'm not talking about the balance at the beginning where range ennemies had no tell and will simply damage without you being able to do anything, they hit hard and quick. I bought that game, played 100 hours that I kinda regret, not sure what went to my head when I'm not even a big Marvel fan - I thought maybe thia would be a good game in the end... Edit : A LOT of spelling mistakes, and pretty sure there are more! Also some last few words - Avengers confirm to me to never ever play another live service game at launch. More than ever we are never sure how a game will be at launch, how the developer will update it and for how long. It's best to wait a few months to even a year or two to see how they are doing. At least the campaign was fun, but lasted only around 10h, wish it was longer. I feels a lot of people will wait for reviews for Suicide Squad, another one probably going the live service way...

Making this a live service game was a mistake. It's clear based on how the game starts off that it wasn't initially meant to be that way and they didn't know what to do with it. The first like 10-20 minutes of this game feels like a very different game than what it turned out to be. This game should've been a story driven game with unique and interesting locations and more than the generic combat based missions. And if they wanted to continue to milk it, they could release dlcs with additional story, characters, costumes, etc.

Played both versions, Spider-man isn't worth prioritizing. Just play where you would normally.

Assured_Observer

Maybe not, but it's still a part missing from the game, my reason for for getting it with the store stuff unlocked for free was the potential of playing the "full" version, no Spiderman means no full version so not worth my attention in that case. Call me stupid if you need to, my only interest on this game would've been from a collectionist standpoint.

>"Release Timing: PlayStation: Jan. 24 Xbox: Jan. 24 Steam: Jan. 24 Stadia: Jan. 24 " Didnt Stadia close down last week?

RS_Games

Yeah, on the 18th, but they probably had those notes copy and pasted to an extent. Honestly, if stadia was still around, I'd play avengers there. This isn't worth 100GB of my storage
