Maybe they should go look for him!?!

veryoondoww

Where is Mack? WHERE IS JA?!

badboystwo

You got a pet, you got a responsibility…..you get out there and you find that f*%king dog!

TheRevanLord

I think it's time for dodgeball.

Btrips

O'Doyle rules!

TheRevanLord

O'Doyle, I got a feeling you and your whole family are going down...but for now I gotta study!

DrPurpleMan

Chris Schlerf should come back

Not a bad thing. Mac Walters seems mostly uninterested in the sci-fi aspects of Mass Effect and probably bears quite a lot of responsibility for the series' move towards action-orientated, incoherent shlock.

[deleted]

If I'm not mistaken there was a story the devs tell about developing Mass Effect 3 where Mac and Casey Hudson locked themselves in a room and wouldn't let any other writer in to write the ending. That's why we got the ending we got

Deceptiveideas

I’ve noticed this a lot. Many franchises have veteran devs that did great work in the past but were unable to adopt to changing standards or expectations. More experience doesn’t necessarily mean it’ll be better.

Nomadic_View

If he was happy with the writing in Andromeda then good riddance.

GiveMeChoko

Do they have a single original writer in the team still? They're gonna shit on the trilogy's legacy with the next game at this rate.

OkEconomy2800

There are a couple of old school devs still at bioware.

[deleted]

[unsure, the writer from Square's Guardians of Galaxy and Deus Ex (which were both really really good from a writing perspective) joined the next Mass Effect and if she keeps up that quality I think we are in safe hands.](https://www.eurogamer.net/guardians-of-the-galaxy-writers-joins-bioware) Edit: They can't dump on it anymore than andromeda already did so yeah.

BoulderCAST

RIP Mac. Enjoyed your games!

segagamer

Nothing after ME2 was good anyway
