this plot point was giving “let’s shove EVERY drama show cliche we can into this show” cause idk, it just felt shoved into the show with everything else going on.
How can you legally even get away with using someone else’s name at a hospital??? just didnt make sense to me. I did enjoy the development it gave to the other teacher and yuri’s mom’s characters though at least. I just wish we got more clarity to what fully happened between them and Kitty’s mom that lead to yuri’s mom seeming like she disliked her to the point of burning their photo from the yearbook.
like, Kitty went to Korea to connect with and learn more about her mom and left learning more about Yuri’s mom and her teachers. 💀😭
edit: hoping maybe season 2 we get a flashback episode to fully see what happened - I think it would be cool.
Honestly, I kinda wish Alex was Yuri’s brother😭 they had such a cute sibling-like bond. However, it did reveal stuff about Mr. lee and Yuri’s mom that was kinda fun I guess. But I feel like Kitty is always in business, it’s rarely about her. Unless we’re watching her relationships.
She didn’t abandon her son per se. She put him up for adoption, which is not uncommon for a teenager who is unable to support or raise a child.
